Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds

This album showcases the amazing Roger McGuinn and that 12 string guitar sound - the songs are fun, pop and definately for their time but the songwriting is strong and the harmonies are great. In amongst the songs you'll find Chimes of Freedom which is far from lightweight pop take a listen. The hit from the album is All I Really Want To Do but the album enjoyable even 58 years on from its original release.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Dec 19 2023

This album proves to me that singer songwriters are a spacial and rare breed - here you will find the amazing Leonard Cohen song Hallelulah which is in its own way a classic but Jeff takes it to a whole another level. Listen to this album, and get deep into the vocals of Jeff Buckley and here just as few hints to to sounds of his dad Tim.

The Rising by Bruce Springsteen

Cafe Bleu by The Style Council
Dec 29 2023

Reminded me of the amazing Live Aid show in London 1985 - a show I was at working for a London Radio station doing stage site interviews and managed to get Bowie, Brian May and anothers to stop and say a few words - Paul Weller was fantastic that day The Style Council where very popular with the crowd too.
