An album with an amazing cover that the more that you see it, the more you find.
All of the songs are impressively involvent, make you feel in a hole scenario into the woods, dancing around in circles or just laying down in the grass.
With a lot of changing rhytms in every song that makes you think is another song.
The pure essence and magic of Christmas, with the amazing production of Phil Spector
I can say that this is one of the greatest debut albums, every instrument has an unique rhytm and sound; the guitar is really psychodelic, the vocals and drums are hypnotizing.
I'm not a big fan of Jimmy Hendrix, but i can tell, as a fan of rock music, that this is a very unique album that came to change the way music was made and the sound of rock n' roll music.
I think it might be a good album, but i don't think is the greatest of all.
It has cool songs in it.
Not really my thing, but it's not bad, the fact that it's live gives it a plus
I love the album cover really much! Simple but at the same time really complicated and abstract.
I thought that because of being an album of David Bowie, one of the biggest music stars in the world, it would be a really cool album, and, actually, it is a good album, it has amazing songs, and, as his last work before he died it makes it a little more important because it feels like a goodbye with the rhytm of the songs, specially with the principal song "Blackstar", but i expected just a little bit more.
Even tho, i liked it.
I actually loved this album, most of the songs here are TOP. This is the exact music you would listen on a roadtrip.
Some of the leatrics are dump? Yeah, of course they are, but common' it's ZZ Top, what did you expected?
Some great songs
I don't know what to think about this, 'cause it's know the tipe of music i like, even tho i bounced my head a few times.
I like all the instruments here, it's very relaxing. It gives you calm vibes, and i think that's cool.
Not the type music i would listen very often, but it's great!
A rock and also a metal classic! Making a album in a portable studio and in the 70?! God! I love it! Every single song has an amazing riff, vocals, everything.
I'd never listen this album before, just the famous songs: Smoke on the Water and Highway Star, so listen to the complete album was beautiful! Like i said before, every song is AMAZING.
It' amazing how this album has leatrics attacking all of the things that the goverment does and how you feel all of the rage there, i loved it!
It's real cool that this album, even tho i'm not a big fan of this type of music, you can listen to it calmly 'cause you don't feel it long lasting and the songs in it are literally *lovely*
I love 80's music, but i've never listened to this british band before and for what i listen in this album they were a really talented band, specially with that new wave style.
The riffs and synths here are really cool!! Of course some songs are better then others, my favorites were "Poppies" and "Thief Of Baghdad".
I personally noticed something that maybe it's an illusion of mine that is not very important but in some songs the voice of Julian Cope sounded a bit like David Bowie.
I don't know why, but this album didn't catch much my attention, it's funk and i felt the vibe in some songs, but it's definitely not the best album i've listen.
Talking about the album cover i have to say that i love the simplicity of it, just playing with the size of the typography and one yellow line, and that with a black background, love it.
Now, talking musically OMG the sound of this is amazing, i love that it's not repetitive at all, every single song here is unique but still it doesn't lose their style, which i find fascinating.
A different style for Earth, Wind and Fire, with jazzy and soul songs that i think i liked.
Another thing it's that it's not hard to listen cause it doesn't last long and the songs are enjoyable
Ok, so, I like Deep Purple, but i think that many of the songs here have really long guitar solos, it's like "ok fine, you know how to play on live".
It got me bored soo easily and soo quickly that shocks me.
I mean, it's just a pure weird instrumental thing i don't understand maybe because i'm not a fan o this type of music. It might be great in a party with lots drugs and teens there. So no, i don't think this good.
Ok, so, this album has interesting songs, i don't think they're bad cause there were some songs that made me move my head a bit. But also in some part of the album i was like "when is this going to get over?!" because it felt like the exact same song, just different leatrics.
Not completely bad, not completely good.
I love the 80's, but specifically the year of 1985 'cause for some reason most of the songs of that year are GOLD, and this album was release in that year, which means that indeed it's pure GOLD.
I think that Tears for Fears it's an amazing band, with amazing songs and this particular album shows it, you can listen different "styles" and rhytms but they never lose their essence, and that for me it's a complicated thing to do, but this guys know how yo do this well.
Also, another thing that this album has is that even tho some songs here are long lasting, they don't feel like it 'cause they are soo well made that you don't realise in what moment you listen a song that last more than 6 minutes, and of course i know that there are songs that last much more than that, but i also know that there are songs that last 3 minutes and feel soo long and not because they are good.
Long story short, Tears For Fears it's such an AMAZING band and this album shows it in every single song.
It's good for a debut album, even tho it's not the most shocking debut album.
The songs are pretty forgettable, but there are some that are good, my personal favorites are Anything That's Rock N' Roll and American Girl.
It's not really hard to listen 'cause it last a bit more than 30 minutes, so that gives it a bit of a point.
Just giving this 2 stars for how weird and strange it is. Not something that anyone is used to listen.
Also, the cover it's interesting and out of the things we are used to see, like just a picture of the artist, with a filter and the title of the album.
Even tho, it's a bad album.
When i saw the album cover and the title i never thought It would be the kind of music that is in there.
I mean, it's not bad at all, but it doesn't give you the surprising new stuff for a debut album.
Of course Song 2 is a classic, that's for sure and maybe the greatest song of the album, even tho there are some other songs that sound great but it didn't exactly shocked me.
It's a cool album.
I have a thing that I don't like when i listen to really long instrumentals, it's not that I hate it, I just don't like it completely and this album Is bassically just pure instrumental jazz.
I won't say that it's bad, 'cause you can listen to the experimentation here and it's kind of nice, but i felt like I was stuck in an elevator for 35 minutes.
It's relaxing, it's cool, it's unique, even tho I'm not a fan of that kind of music i liked it, it was soo different from de music i usually listen that i think it was really cool
Not familiar to rap music, but i definitely know that i don't like it, I guess that it might be good for the colabs with know rap artist, but idk, it's really not my type at all.
I think i'm starting to hate electronica soo much.
I mean, this album is supposed to be iconic because is maybe one of the first albums that was release of the genre but this honestly sounds like an arcade game music, every single song is needlessly long, cause is the same thing over and over for 6 to 9 minutes each song, like GOD PLEASE STOP, i understood the idea the first 3 minutes of your song.
I think that is 40 minutes of the exact same thing over and over again just with different leatrics.
I read a review that this album was like sitting around a campfire with Springsteen, and yes, it's exactly that.
I don't think Is completely bad, but it's definitely not good at all, kind of boring and in a way I understand the idea he had, but no, it didn't work.
Bowie is a legend, and every album that he did has at least one hit on it, for me, Heroes (that is a classic) and Beauty and The Beast are the good ones here, even tho the other songs are really cool.
I'm only giving this 4 stars because of the extensive instrumentals in the end, not saying that they aré bad because they have a unique style and they're not repetitive, but it's not exactly my thing
The harmonica doesn't work for me, I have to be honest that it was a bit annoying listen to it in most of the song, even tho, I think that the leatrics an maybe de vocals helped this album a lot.
Also, I think that this album doesn't sound like the 60's (the decade this was release) it sound a bit more like 70's, so that gives it one more star for me
I think that Kate Bush is soo underrated 'cause she has a very unique and iconic voices with just one note that she sings.
I don't exactly know what to think about this album cause i'm actually not a fan of this particular music, even tho i think that is weird but is not bad at all. I think that the experimental stuff was sometimes great, sometimes not.
This is controversial for me, 'cause i like that it doesn't sound like the classic 2000's and that it sound more like the 60's, but at the same time it gets me bored that it's basically all the same thing over again and that it's soo calmed gets me a little bit bored and sleepy to be honesta, i would give it 1 star, but i'm giving it 2 for the thing i said first that it doesn't sound like the classic 2000's
This album is great, enjoyable, relaxing, cool, has everything on it.
I'm suprised how this album was the eighteen studio album of Stevie Wonder, and how essential it was for his career.
LOVELY!!
What an incredible band The Police is! I liked this album really much! And even tho there are some songs that aren't great, with this album they showed that they really knew how to do music, or maybe they didn't, but they were really good and Sting has one of the most iconic voices in the industry.
Meh, that's all i'll say
Every single song is a masterpiece, Eddie definitely knew how to play that guitar SOO GOOD! LOVE HIM, i know that the hole group is not just only Eddie, but he definitely gives a hole vibe to this album.
The vocals, the rhytms, the solos, EVERYTHING PERFECT!
I didn't find anything special about this album, for me it felt like every song that would be a classic of the 2010 but with no "personality".
It's not a bad album, i expected a bit more.
Fistly i'm suprised that the original name of the album is not "The White Album", it's just "The Beatles".
Musically it's a masterpiece, The Beatles never disappoints with their music, they can make different rhytms and music genres without stop sounding like themselves.
LOVED THIS ALBUM!
Ok, so, i've saw this album soo many times in different things and places, never in my life listed to it until now, and i'm actually very suprised about this.
I nearly knew every song here! It's just full of hits for me, while i was listening to it i danced and even sang some of the songs that were here, that made me love it.
Without a doubt i can say this is one of the greatest albums of that decade and even of history.
I'm not related yo this type of music, that's why i actually didn't knew how many stars put it, but less than 5 stars was fair.
I guess that this album is significant for all of the war that was in the decade of 00's in the US.
It has really cool songs, I loved every single transition on it, just perfect!
I really have to say that all the emo themed songs of the 00's is really cool for me.
I think that i've never un my life listened to Pixies, or at least any song of this album.
I liked it! They have really good songs and for being one of the first bands who gave us Alternative Rock, makes me love this album even more.
Felt repetitive most of the time and also it felt really long, even tho is not completely bad.
I was only related to the song "Get It On" 'cause i've listened to it a few times.
The album has good songs, good vocals, good rhytms. Yeah... it'll pass.
It's Elton John! His music is amazing and his voice it's simple unique, no one like him.
Most of the songs here are really great and i enjoyed them.
Another thing that I have to say is that the cover for me it's really great, I like the monocromatic use of blue color and the typography.
I really like her voice, even tho this album didn't catched me at all, maybe because i think that is repetitive in some parts.
This album is really cool to listen, i think that it has really cool songs on it. Early punky style, love it.
I was boring in parts, but i like the sound in some songs, like "Crosseyed and Painless" and "The Great Curve".
It has cool songs on it, but at the same time I don't feel that has something that makes it special of other albums of their style.
A personal thing Is that I really like the cover, it's nice.
I mean, it's cool in some ways like that it includes many variants of rock, even tho I'm some songs it's boring, but in some others it's great.
Not too bad for 1 star, but not too great for 5 stars.
Nothing special about this, maybe just the first song is great.
I'm really trying to like funk, i swear! But i can't.
It's, good...? I think...
It's cool! I think i kind of like it.
Just a plus star 'cause i liked de art cover.
I really wish I liked Stevie Wonder more, cause I know he's a really amazing artist with a unique voice, but it's not the style of music i like.
It has some cool songs, not my favorites album but i'll pasa
Repetitive most of the time, that made me get bored at the middle of it, but i have to say that it's not bad, but there was nothing special for me to love this.
Not what i was especting to listen, but it was not bad at all, really relaxing, calmed.
OMG PRETENDERS! I DIDN'T KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU!
It's honestly one of the greatest debut albums i've listen of this list. Amazing album!!
This is just beautiful, this is the exact kind of jazz that i would listen without any trouble.
The voice of Ella Fitzgerald is such an amazing thing, i love it, but i think that 3 and a half hours of this is a bit too much for me.
Besides that this album is really, really great.
I've never listen to Red Hot Chili Peppers before, and i think i liked it.
It has one of the sexiest base i've ever listen.
I don't think that I'm a fan of Joy Division, but i know they're not bad, they have cool songs in this album.
I really like the samples here, they're really cool. The only thing I dislike about this album is that is repetitive sometimes and a bit of the shouting.
Cool album.
A very unique voice, that's for real.
Besides of that i didn't find anything that makes this album special, but it good for a debut album.
Nothing special really, even tho i like that is not very repetitive considering that is kind of electronica music (which i paticulary don't like)
I'm not the type of person that likes experimental music and also not the type of person that likes very long instrumentals pauses, this album is the exact combination of both things, but i don't think that is bad, i can tell that it has potencial, but it's honestely not my thing.
Pretty much the same in every song, nothing really special about this, but it has a bit of potential, just a bit.
When i saw that this album had really long song i was a bit "scared" because most of songs that i've listen on this list that last more than 7 minutes are pretty much shit, but believe me this is not the case, it's such relaxing music that you forget that there's a song that last 12 minutes.
For me it was kind of like a chill morning album, it's really great.
I honestly wish I liked jazz more than I do, because this for me had nothing special, I can appreciate the musicanship and all of that here, but it was annoying when it sounded like if the piano, the sax or the bass where on their own.
This is the second album of Beastie Boys that i've listen of this list, the first one was Paul's Boutique and i have to say that this album has nothing to be with Paul's Boutique and that was great for me, 'cause I thought that this was going to be screams all the time, but it wasn't and i liked that there were some songs that were just instrumental.
This is a really cool album, I like it.
I love heavy metal, but this was a bit too much for me.
I think their drums and guitars are great.
I think U2 it's one of the best bands i've listen and also Bono's voice is really iconic and unique.
I like that this album was different from the sound they used in the 80's, the energy of pop but still having the essence of rock, a great start for 90's rock.
Even tho is a bit experimental (i think) is really cool, i like it pretty much.
This is a really cool debut album, love all the indie rhytms here.
Maybe i expected a bit more 'cause in some songs it felt kind of repetitive, but is really cool.
Not a fan of hip-hop really, i get the vibe and all of that here, but this is full of homophobia and misogyny.
Why is this here?
I only knew one song of this and just because of a tiktok trend and that song it's not even good at all.
The hole album feels repetitive, good for background sound only.
Not something i'm used to listen, it's actually one of the music genres i dislike, but this album is kind of great and also is really easy to listen 'cause is not very long lasting.
Personally i don't think this is really great, but it has some good songs in it.
I love heavy metal, and i know why people don't like this album 'cause it's actually not really easy to listen if you don't like the genre.
In certain way i liked it, but i'm the very end of the album i was asking for it to just stop.
I like that this album sounds like heavy metal of the 00's, so that's great for an album that was made in 1987.
Cool songs here, got the vibe, but hip hop is not my thing.
Maybe it's just me but i felt this really long lasting.
It's never a bad time to listen to Pink Floyd, one of the most amazing bands that exists and obviously this album is one of the most iconic ever made by them.
Vocals, drums, guitars and bass just perfect in almost every song, but also the transitions to one song to another are beautiful in every possible way.
Really great album.
I liked it, i found this kind of relaxing and that's beautiful, even tho i also think that this album can be really forggetable for their repetitive vocals, but it's not bad at all
