evermore by Taylor Swift

So my girlfriend is a straight up Swifty, like to the max! I told her that todays album was evermore. Besides being very excited, she told me to listen to it with one thing in mined. The album come out just before we met each other and she associates it with the beginning of our romantic relationship… talk about heavy stuff. As I walk through the gray and dreary winter of Ohio snow is falling from the sky. A rushing river accompanies me alone with trees who are naked with out there leaves. One couldn’t ask for a better setting to experience evermore in its entirety. Admittedly, I enjoy songs more for the songs and instrumental components rather that lyrically. However I cannot deny I was swept away by not only Taylor’s voice but also her words. I always new she was such a talented writer but to hit on ever song and have such diversity is magical. I while evermore doesn’t move me as it may move my loving and incredible girlfriend, I found my experience to be one of a kind and am genuinely so thankful to be alive when Taylor Swift is making music.

The Modern Dance by Pere Ubu

So I was going to give this album a 2 because I enjoyed the drums and the bass. But then sentimental journey came on. I absolutely loathe “noise” songs. That immediately took away any love I had for this album. I’m convinced they were trying to add the most annoying awful sounds to piss people off and it worked. And don’t get me started on his voice. Truly an unpleasant listening experience.

Gimme three steps is my go to Karaoke song and free bird will be forever an epic roller coaster ride of soul igniting guitar magic. But what I was surprised at most was how all the other songs hold up really well and make the album overall really quite amazing. Not perfect but not far off. 4.5/5

Machine Gun Etiquette by The Damned
Jan 07 2024

Enjoyable to listen to and to me sounded like classic rock meets some early punk. Fun album but average in my opinion

Jan 08 2024

Enjoyable and great history of the Genre. but overall I found myself distracted by other things

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jan 09 2024

Never listened to a Bob Marley album all the way through. I get it now.

Guero by Beck
Jan 10 2024

A little too off the wall for my taste but enjoyed it nonetheless

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Jan 11 2024

I really have only listened to another brink in the wall and this album was so fantastic. I wonder if daft punk got some of there sounds for RAM from this album

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Jan 12 2024

Honestly it’s felt all over the place and just not an enjoyable listen from to back. Really appreciate the white stripes but unfortunately this album misses the mark with me.

Bossanova by Pixies
Jan 13 2024

Excellent introduction to early metal hard rock. However, I did not find myself getting lost in the music in a good way. But still exceeded expectations.

No Other by Gene Clark
Jan 14 2024

I had never heard of Gene Clark. He is now my favorite smooth rock artist with a just a hint of southern twang mixed in. Great driving music.

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Jan 15 2024

Truly a one spectacular band preforming a fantastic album. First time listening to the whole album and I was so immersed in each song. Loved it.

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Jan 16 2024

The two best songs are covers. Lot of extra fluff on the album I didn’t really like. Not for me

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Jan 17 2024

Very hard to rank this album as it’s not my kind of music. So hard to classify what I’m hearing. It’s like heavy metal techno alternative horror.

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Jan 18 2024

Excellent album. Wonderful road trip music. Amazing folk album very calming

Debut by Björk
Jan 19 2024

Loved the weird vibe but just don’t love her voice

With The Beatles by Beatles
Jan 20 2024

Excellent Beatles album and very enjoyable to listen to. I feel like the Beatles get a little too wacky and weird later on. This album perfectly showcases the Beatles as a very talented and fun band

LP1 by FKA twigs
Jan 21 2024

Discount purity ring

Konnichiwa by Skepta
Jan 22 2024

Was very surprised how into this album I got. Was impressed and immersed in a number of songs. The only issue I have is the voice recordings in between song. Never been a fan

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips
Jan 23 2024

I am a huge fan of electronic rock so wasn’t hard to get into this album. While not groundbreaking or mind blowing, I throughly enjoyed my listen

I Am a Bird Now by Antony and the Johnsons
Jan 24 2024

If you want to drone someone to death, play this album. Most of the songs sound exactly the same and draaaaaaag out for what feels like an eternity. I understand that there is an audience and I can understand why this album hits home some some people. Unfortunately I will take a back seat and gladly let others enjoy being vibrated into the next century but the ever ending vibrato. There is only one song on the album that sounds different and I genuinely enjoyed the wind instruments and arrangements of piano and strings. But I could just not get past the lyrics and vocals of this easily forgotten album. Giving two stars for the instruments.

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Jan 25 2024

The fact that none of Oasis’s popular song on this album made this much more enjoyable! I loved the more classic rock sound. The song felt more real. I was very surprised how much I enjoyed it

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jan 26 2024

Honestly, bangers only.

Lost In The Dream by The War On Drugs
Jan 27 2024

I do really enjoy war on drugs but it does all sound very similar.

Bad by Michael Jackson
Jan 28 2024

I am always so conflicted listening to MJ. I really don’t like or support who he was at all. But purely from a music standpoint I think he was a great musician and genuinely enjoy his tracks. MJ - 0/5 stars “Bad” album - 4/5 stars

Raw Power by The Stooges
Jan 30 2024

Really enjoyed it! Upbeat and fun to have on while cooking!

evermore by Taylor Swift

I appreciate this album and really enjoyed the listen. I probably won't listen again but found it to be a good album!

Hysteria by Def Leppard
Feb 02 2024

I have never really listened to much Def Leppard as I thought they were more heavy rock or metal. When I think of them I only think of "Pour Some Sugar On Me" and I just wasn't into them. I was so surprised at many of there songs. they are a little horny and over the top but God Damn I love Classic rock.

Sound Affects by The Jam
Feb 07 2024

Great early punk rock band that I never heard of. Couldn’t get behind the lead vocalist though

Music by Madonna
Feb 08 2024

somes songs sounded really awkward but others weren't half bad. truly the second half is better than the first. Felt like a fake dance album.

Metallica by Metallica
Feb 09 2024

Enter sandman is such a fantastic song. That with nothing else maters makes this album great. Also I have seen them live and was so blown away.

Enjoyed the album but didn’t wow me

Elephant by The White Stripes

They like saying fun and making surprisingly catchy songs.

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Feb 16 2024

Loved the change of pace. Very easy to listen to and great to hear some big band stuff. I fell like all i'm getting is some form of rock. This album is like a breath of fresh air.

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Feb 17 2024

Liked the live aspect of it. Takes you back to the time. But thought it was a just fine album

Dog Man Star by Suede
Feb 18 2024

Not going to lie, I checked the time multiple times seeing when it would end. Found it to be a little boring and not much depth. Didn’t enjoy the lead singers voice

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
Feb 19 2024

I love music so much because country really isn't my thing but this album was so enjoyable. Never know what you will get and if you just keep an open mind you and find enjoyment.

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Feb 22 2024

Rock just really gets me going. This album got me feeling like I can take on anything.

Mar 20 2024

Never listened to an Eminem album all the way through. He is so polarizing and I really can understand why people are so drawn to him. Not only is he so talented but he has such raw emotions and humans can relate to on such a deep level

Mar 22 2024

Honestly other than the track “free form guitar” this album is absolutely fantastic. I love the combination of brass band with classic rock.

Ramones by Ramones
Mar 30 2024

Yeezus by Kanye West
Mar 31 2024
GI by Germs
Apr 01 2024

I’m sure this is a revolutionary album for punk. It’s definitely a firecracker of an album. But it got old for me fast, especially the lead vocalist. Not bad though

The Cars by The Cars
Apr 02 2024

Holy shit was not expecting such a banger album front to back. Might regret giving it a 5 later but in the moment I feel it’s deserved.

Tical by Method Man
Apr 03 2024
Dookie by Green Day
Sep 01 2025
Document by R.E.M.
Feb 04 2026

Very underwhelmed. Kinda boring. It’s the end of the world really carries the album

Movies by Holger Czukay
Feb 05 2026

I can see why some people wouldn’t like the album. Very experimental and “throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks”. I found myself enjoying the album a lot! I think there is some amazing creativity and musical skill. Great drums and guitar really support the wide range of other sounds and elements. Pleasantly surprised with this one.

Odessa by Bee Gees
Feb 06 2026

Man people were hard on this album. Definitely has Beatles vibes and a very different direction from normal Bee Gees album. I personally enjoyed it and liked there take on a different sound. I would give it a 3.5 if I could

Feb 07 2026

Super fun groovy album. A little long on some of the songs but really enjoyed.

The Modern Dance by Pere Ubu
Feb 08 2026

So I was going to give this album a 2 because I enjoyed the drums and the bass. But then sentimental journey came on. I absolutely loathe “noise” songs. That immediately took away any love I had for this album. I’m convinced they were trying to add the most annoying awful sounds to piss people off and it worked. And don’t get me started on his voice. Eliminator by ZZ Top
Feb 10 2026

Great album. Good energy and some variety throughout. Some absolute bangers on this album

Feb 11 2026

When the first track came on I thought “oh no, a techno house album”. don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy EDM. But house/techno can get too repetitive and gets on my nerves. I was very pleasantly surprised at the depth and layers this album has to offer. Enjoyed it way more than I thought I would.

Casanova by The Divine Comedy
Apr 17 2026

Giving off Jack skelington vibes. I really enjoy the weird and cheesiness of this album. Probably won’t listen to it again but it was a fun first listen!

More Specials by The Specials
Apr 19 2026

What strange album. Fun listen. Will not be listening again

Junkyard by The Birthday Party
Apr 20 2026

You know when you can tell exactly what an album will be like just by the cover art. Yeah this is just as bad as I thought. I absolutely despise the art and the music is not too far behind. It sounds like it was recorded in a junkyard warehouse which definitely gives it some atmosphere. God I just hate this kind of music. It’s so stress and anxiety inducing. I get some people will like it but god fucking damn it it’s not me. This can riot in the junkyard for all eternity.
