Two decent songs. Otherwise, all the songs sound the same.
Pretty entertaining but a little too long. Could have done with just Part 1.
Know Talking Heads well and love many of their songs. This one, I was not aware of and it threw me for a loop. Felt like I was on the Disney Haunted Mansion ride for the majority of the album.
This brought back a few memories. I do prefer the double album though.
One of the best of all time!
Not for me.
Entertaining but didn’t really know these songs.
Know this one very well. Katy’s dad/family have listened to it for years so I’ve grown to like it. Also biased based on a pretty good documentary I saw on Brian Wilson.
Enhhh
Obviously know the first song as it’s been in what seems like a hundred commercials. The rest of it all sounds the same. I’m not sure I’d be able to tell when a new song started if there wasn’t a pause in between. Not my favorite.
No time to read up on this one however I did listen. Some good songs. I’m a huge fan of singer songwriters and this gave that vibe.
Really enjoyed this especially since I was just chillin when I went to listen.
Some decent songs. Not sure the whole album is that great.
I liked this more than I first thought I would. It is definitely music for a different time. Feel like these guys sat around a campfire in the swamp for days on end.
Well that was some weird ass shit. Technically speaking, it was like listening to the Doors but not really. Too electronic for me.
There are two good tracks. However those two aren’t Fugees originals. Sooooo, enhhh.
This was pretty entertaining. Turns out I like a little funk in my life.
There’s no denying the girl can sing. Some good and popular songs but not an album I’ve ever asked or plan to ask Alexa to play. Not my favorite and not the worst.
Know this one well. Some great songs. Some good songs. Some I’d skip. Struggled to rank between 3 and 4 stars but ultimately feel like there are albums in between this one and The Wall so went with 3.
Pretty good for the Rents generation music.
Most songs are good. A few aren’t great so going with 3 instead of 4.
I realize that the guy is somewhat of a musical genius. And he was really cool on a few episodes of American Pickers that I saw but this album just doesn’t do it for me.
This thing keeps picking bands I like but not my favorite album. Maybe they will come back around.
Tried in the morning. Tried again in the afternoon. Still a no go.
It took me some years to get into GnR but I definitely got there. Slash is unbelievable.
Stevie can sing. Great album. Some songs are waaaaaayyyy too long. Also just recently watched a documentary on We Are The World and could see his genius. That with growing up listening to this from my parents collection gives it a 4.
It’s ok. Interesting to listen to since I hadn’t heard it before. I guess I only like white stripes/Jack white radio songs.
Not terrible. Not great.
Struggled to listen to all of it. It’s not the album Suicide so a 2 instead of a 1.
Can’t decide between 2 and 3. Would go 2.5 if possible. Pretty interesting musically. Rounding up to 3.
High school years and this artist is definitely someone I remember listening to. Listening back now, I somewhat question my tastes. With that being said, it’s not terrible. She’s a pretty interesting artist.
Ok ok. I’m done with Jack White/White Stripes. I did like this one better than the last but still just a 2.
Didn’t finish. YouTube being a pain in the ass. Got through enough to allow me to rate it. It’s ok.
Not really my style but I found some songs to be pretty good. Toss up again between 2 and 3 stars. Can some tell the generator to pick some albums that I have to decide between 4 and 5 stars?
This may be getting a little higher rating because of the dislike of recent album selections but I enjoyed hearing a little rock.
Have to be listening in the right time of day or in the right mood. During those times it’s better.
Great album. Couldn’t decide between 4 and 5 but ultimately went with 5. Only one or two songs I’d skip. Listened to a lot of zeppelin growing up. Love the combination of genres they were able to mix into their music. Classic.
Not for me
Only know the one song. Pretty groovy. I don’t see me asking Alexa to play this one after listening but I can see why it’s on the list.
Interesting. A lot of the songs sound the same. For a minute there, I closed my eyes and thought I was at Disney watching Country Bear Jamboree which I don’t hate.
I wish there were half stars. Would go 3.5 again. Rounding up to 4 on this one. Older brother got me on a Smiths kick for a minute back in high school. Brings back some memories. Groovy and chill. Two things I can enjoy with music. I would listen to this one again.
Didn’t know this album by Beck and it doesn’t have my two favorite Beck songs on it but I really enjoyed it. An album with different sounding songs is a pleasant surprise.
I thought I'd like this more than I did. First song is known and great. The rest just didn't really do it for me.
Found myself bobbing my head several times. Pretty entertaining stuff.
Oh man. This brings back some memories. Graduating High School, first place at Auburn, blaring NIN with the windows open. I bet I was annoying as hell. Pretty Hate Machine was my go to but definitely had this one in the rotation. 4 instead of 5 since Pretty Hate Machine is better. Was awesome to hear this album again. It's been so long and somehow kinda forgot about NIN. Well done random generator.
He’s good. Never really listened to him via albums so I’m not sure where this stacks up against other ones. 3-4 songs I really like. Another one I want a half star system on. Rounding up from 3.5 to 4.
Some iconic songs that I enjoyed. The Continuing Story Of Buffalo Bill my dad sings to my kids all the time. Not sure I realized it was Beatles song. A lot of songs I could/would just skip. There’s got to be better Beatles albums.
Some great. Some I’d skip.
Some good songs. I just find it hard to like old school country which is what I classify this as.
Some decent songs but couldn’t really get into it.
Pretty enjoyable for laidback lounge music. Could see myself watching this live on a cruise boat with a few drinks to go along with it.
I kinda enjoyed this one. Didn’t know it even existed. Seems to be an early pop punk band and influenced a lot of people. Has me curious about what other albums they have that I might like.
Back half of album is great. Some songs, I may not have even guessed as the Police if it was a blind listening. Those songs were pretty weird and I hesitate to even call them songs. One in particular (can't remember the name) definitely was not a song and I had to skip. Didn't realize The Police had punk within them.
Pioneers of Heavy Metal made me want to like it but in the end it was just okay. Musically, it would be maybe a 3 or 4. Voice knocks it down to 2.
Found this to be pretty enjoyable. I do question which came first: Fatboy Slim's Praise You or Air's Kelly Watch the Stars.
Feel like I’m on. 3 star run. Maybe four or five in a row. Prolly added interest after my recent Memphis trip where I went to Blues hall of fame museum. I’d say 50/50 on the songs on this album. Maybe it’d be higher if not live. Don’t like the crowd yelps throughout.
Some cool beats but pretty underwhelming
This reminded me of my childhood riding in the car with my dad. Don’t know if he played this album but it sure feels like it. Another 3 star.
Easy 5 here. Very aware of this performance and album but had only seen/heard parts of it. Phenomenal!!
Prolly would have given this a 3 if it weren’t for a recent trip to Memphis where I went to BB Kings to watch live music. Was a great experience.
Had never listened to this whole album. Really enjoyed it.
Nehh
Do not know this album but found it to be pretty entertaining. However I did listen while doing dishes so it was a chill time with chill music.
Some decent guitar solos but not so great songs
Pleasantly surprised by this one. Only knew the Rehab song. Music was great. Voice got a little annoying by the end of the album.
Pleasant
Pretty groovy. Iconic band and they don’t disappoint. Just not at the top of my list.
I guess I need to admit I’m a child of the 80s cause I enjoyed this more than I expected. I had know idea all of her hits were on the same album. Or at least it seemed like it. Such a different voice. On one song it did annoy me but that’s it. Would listen again.
Had never heard this group or album before. I really enjoyed it. Definitely gonna look up more of their music. I was wondering if this would ever happen in this over 3 year endeavor. Well done 1001 album generator.
Groovy
Can’t find it.
Never been a big New Order fan. That was pretty tough getting through. There are worse though, so going with 2 stars.
Lots of messaging on this one. Didn’t do any research so review based on just listening. Decent beats and some interesting lyrics.
Own this one. Definitely up there on the list. Was good to hear it again. It’s been a while.
Interesting to listen to but not one I knew or prolly listen to again. Good beats. Not a big fan of some of the lyrics although I respect where it comes from.
Blues albums continue to take me back to recent Memphis trip. Got a little bored with this one by the end but classic blues and worth listening to.
It’s ok. Some decent songs but the rest is completely forgettable. Does anyone else feel bad for Michelle and Kelly?
This album is what happens when a parent gives a kid a guitar and a microphone and continues to tell them how good they are for years on end. Dude has no voice.
Good jazzy laid back album. I could see me listening to this one again.
Classic
Not on Amazon music so a no go for me. Although Our House is a great 80s song.
First time I’ve ever listened to this whole album even though a college friend loves this band. It was better than I expected.
Late Madonna album. Obviously knew the songs that made the radio. In listening to it through, I was not hating until it got to the one that was all autotune. I despise autotune. For that reason, I knock it down from 3 to 2 starts.
I expected this to be worse than it was. I know the band but it was just never my jam. Turns out to be not too bad.
Huge Pumpkins fan. I always wanted to live this album more than I do. It’s just too long. Some great songs that I will always go back to but it could have been cutdown to one album instead of a double album. Hoping for Siamese Dream soon. Gish also amazing.
More Jack White. Unbelievable. This 1001 generator guy loves him some Jack white. With that being said, this is the best one yet. Much better beats and rhythm. Lyrics, wow, dude is weird. The acorn one I could not decide if I should be inspired or just weirded out. Anyway, good enough for a 3.
This one’s tough. Found myself bobbing my head at times and then wanting to hit skip at times. Listening while doing dishes, not bad. Listening while sitting on the couch, terrible. Listening while doing yard work, great. Guess that means it’s middle of the road.
What the hell was that?
I had know idea that Jack Johnson was reincarnated. I’m a huge fan of singer songwriters. Enjoyed this one.
Groovey and entertaining.
Not as good as I expected. I know I’ve heard better temptations songs.
I’m a fan even though it’s before my time. Even love the sampling/remake mix of Into the Mystic that Zac Brown Band did. Have and will continue to listen to this album.
Tutti Frutti we all know and have heard at every wedding we’ve been too. Or maybe school dance. I can’t remember. Anyway, classic song but then they all sound just like that. Got bored with it.
Not for me
Yep. This one was in the repertoire but not on too much repeat. Half good, half not.
Ehhhh
This one made me fastfoward listen. I guess that’s an automatic 1 star.
Didn’t know this one from Adam. Enjoyed the majority of it. I could see me listening to this again some day. Especially while doing yard work like this time.
Oh yeah. Now we’re talking!
Not bad. I do love Take Me To The River.
I’ve heard of this guy but never listened before. Found this one to be pretty interesting. Lots of different styles. And I have a soft spot for singer songwriters.
