The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators
The 13th Floor ElevatorsIt got old fast. It's protopunk I guess but the recording style kills it for me.

So many hits, but it was one of the songs I'd maybe only heard a couple times that got me. Let Me Put My Love Into You, Babe was vocally different and stood out in the listen.
I own this album. I've actually owned every album so far. Exodus is not as good to me as Catch a fire or Natty Dread, but it has many bangers and good heart.
Good album. Bowie style but in the style of the moment, 1976, too. Recognizable jam and some extended cuts. Not my favorite Bowie.
Awesome album. Not something I thought would be my type of music but the first song absolutely enraptured me and then it went from there. Really glad I got introduced to Stereolab
Whoa. This is good for what it is. Drums are hardcore and the brass is a huge part of it. The vocals are simple but really emotional. This is what the Micronesian dudes wanted me to play when they came on the Sea Spider to offload our frozen albacore
Classic. Jim Morrison's vocals are a part of Rock Legend. The groove of the band is great tho. The way the guitar speaks in little phrases. The driving rhythm of the drums. Bluesy and rocky. Kinda dirty and raw. Good record.
Really sounds "old" but also has some songs I'm familiar with. I like the songs Matilda Mother and Interstellar Overdrive
Intense ethereal afropop magic
Listened to some of it. It was actually good. The band and the song lyrics were tight. I'm not a Cyndi Lauper fan, like her voice isn't my thing, but this was an ok album.
Good enough to listen to but not really what I like.
This album jams for me. Used to play it on my radio show. This is a five-star banger because of two songs: Suite Judy Blue Eyes and Wooden Ships.
A classic and one of my first cool (not gangsta) rap albums.
Good album. Reminded me of other REM albums I've listened to. Sometimes haunting lyrics, good musicianship, ahead of it's time or maybe in a time of it's own.
This rocks. Like rock punk, great drums, goddamn the drums are HARD.
I love this album

Meh. Really didn't like it. Sounded like the Smithereens or some other discount box late 80s indypop.
