Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Nov 15 2024

Very good vibes all around; this was my second Nick Drake album and it definitely got me more into him. Couldn't really understand what he was saying though.

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Nov 18 2024

Not really my vibe; has a couple of good songs but as a whole I think some of the songs sound the same. Definitely understand the cultural impact and how it affected music as a whole

Green by R.E.M.
Nov 19 2024

Good baselines and beats, but too many fadeouts for this era/type of music. Wasn't a fan of the voice and lyrics, and overall it seemed pretty generic and not a great listen as a whole.

Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
Dec 04 2024

Beautiful production and vocals. A surprisingly comforting album I can kind of just play in the background. Each song sounded pretty similar and and there wasn't much distinction between each, but the short runtime made it bearable. Lyrically alright at best, but that was definitely not the focal point of this album.

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Dec 05 2024

Dreamy and ethereal. beautiful composition, a little weird and abnormal but super cohesive and coherent. cool listen as a whole, chill and interesting vibes all around just a little too experimental for my taste

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Dec 06 2024

Kinda pretentious lyrics, good melodies and riffs all around. Not super easy listening but easy enough to do on a walk. Highlight is definitely the instrumentals but it did feel too old for its time

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Dec 09 2024

Fun and groovy but for 40 minutes straight? same baseline for 15 minutes? Not really sure how I feel about the whole thing so far, especially since a lot of the sounds felt a lot more like noises than something actually cohesive. High highs and low lows, will give bonus points for creativity

Play by Moby
Dec 12 2024

Not bad. Easy listen, basically good elevator music

System Of A Down by System Of A Down
Dec 13 2024

Eh? Like rock elements but wtf is that’s screaming

Dec 16 2024

Beautiful covers, some are drawn out, but the simple guitar and stripped down and haunting vocals make this a solid classic filled with emotion

Music for the Masses by Depeche Mode
Dec 17 2024

Pretty vibey, nice and relaxing with good energy. Nothing too outstanding though

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Jan 28 2025

Solid and timeless, poetic and creative. Still hate nazis tho sry not sry

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Jan 30 2025

Goodish first half , then got tired of the guitar solos

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Jan 31 2025

Probably most boring album here, every song sounded the same and there was very little creativity behind anything. Fell asleep on my second listen bc the first one flew by without me even realizing it

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Feb 20 2025

Not bad as a whole. got a little boring towards the middle with some high highs and mediocre lows. The stripped awayness of it all kind of detracted and made it sound a bit repetitive. Pretty chill, easy to throw into background and will revisit

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Feb 21 2025

Not bad at all, nice and groovy chill vibes

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Feb 24 2025

Bob Dylan aint so bad after all. this was short enough where I could appreciate the rhythms and instrumentals but I still hate his voice

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Feb 25 2025

Maybe white guys can rap. lots of shouting but groovy and had some good rhythm/baselines

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Apr 11 2025

Not really the "punk" im used to but not bad as a whole. got a little dreary throughout but had some good sounds overall

My Generation by The Who
Apr 14 2025

Blues vibe was there, but just background music. Long as hell and some of those later songs were super annoying

Abraxas by Santana
Apr 15 2025

Went into this wary of another instrumental album, but was pleasantly surprised by the early psych rock sound. Very easy to listen and relax to

Transformer by Lou Reed
Apr 16 2025

Nothing I would return to, but bonus points for being super influential for future albums and being a staple of its time. not hard to listen to at all either, interesting lyrics all around as well

Apr 17 2025

Someone said this was like bland old Coldplay and I agree. Vocals were aight, instrumentals were good but there was too much going on for their own good. See the potential though

Apr 18 2025

A different, more soulful and somber type of pop I’m used to. Easy to listen to all around but a little downbeat for my taste

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Apr 23 2025

Pretty solid metal, had its highs and lows but enjoyed all around. Liked the high energy it brought but it’s also my first Metallica album and definitely was different from their more popular songs

Basket of Light by Pentangle
May 29 2025

A weird combo of medieval music, rock, and folk. It’s like a hobbit, a knight, and a cowboy had a baby. Liked how this was a new approach to music but got bored after a couple songs. Vocals were also just ok, instrumentals really carried it

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly
May 30 2025

Nothing outstanding about this, good psych rock with funky bass line that was def the highlight of the album. Not really worth revisiting anytime soon, but not bad as a whole

Live! by Fela Kuti
Jun 02 2025

Honestly pretty fire, good intro to this kinda music and I’m not mad about another instrumental heavy album. Lowk I listened to this while driving and it got me kinda stressed out bc of how upbeat it is but it’s cool

Here's Little Richard by Little Richard
Jun 03 2025

Pleasantly refreshing and groovy. Loved the baseline, instrumentation, and originality of the music. Did get a little worn out by the walking bass but the album was short and sweet. Will definitely revisit

Jun 04 2025

Whether it be satire or shock value or both, this album is nothing id ever go out of my way to listen to (besides the hits). This is my second time listening to it and it still holds up as a weird, artful, twisted, witty classic.

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jun 05 2025

Not bad, couldn’t get the Vietnam out of my head and couldn’t understand like half the words but it sounded good

Playing With Fire by Spacemen 3
Jul 07 2025

I felt like I was gonna fall asleep then someone would take a power drill to my ears for like 10 min, then let me fall asleep again. I could count on 2 fingers the amount of stuff in this album I liked. Maybe this is what tinnitus feels like

Jul 08 2025

Real talk this is a 4.5 bc the latter half of the album is forgettable, but it starts off so strong and the production is so good that I can overlook that. Dre, cube, E and the rest of the gang knocked it out of the park with this one. West coast best coast ig

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Jul 09 2025

Lowk fw the bossa nova and fun vocals, little too easy of a listen and kinda blew through without really hearing anything distinct but I did love what I heard. Will start delving into the genre!

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Jul 10 2025

Very solid album, again surprising how much I liked it, especially swept away by the beats and production. Lyrically was pretty solid too.

Eliminator by ZZ Top
Jul 14 2025

Probably closer to a 3.75, liked the sound and the energy but felt that the music wasnt very distinctive. got some bangers at the front of the album, but the rest of it didnt really grab me. not bad as a whole though

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Jul 15 2025

Interesting is the word id use. dramatic, sweeping, but repetitive and nothing really of note. the long songs were really annoying honestly. good background music but not much more than that; definitely could feel the emotion through the music but it wasn't something i deeply resonated with

Caetano Veloso by Caetano Veloso
Jul 16 2025

Good background music, not as refreshing as some of the other instrumental sounds from before. Thought the dude made the album a little bit worse than it shouldve been but I liked how there was a nice medley of arrangements that allowed me to sample music from all different styles

BEYONCÉ by Beyoncé
Aug 07 2025

Kinda bloated, a lot of the middle parts really sounded exactly the same (lyrically and sonically). wasnt terrible but still think shes overrated. Good pop/rnb mix that i liked at the beginning

Pacific Ocean Blue by Dennis Wilson
Aug 08 2025

Honestly pretty impressed. Loved the vibes and melodies and atmosphere with this album, good way to be a touch experimental for its time and lean into different genres while staying cohesive. Low 4 but will revisit

Stankonia by OutKast
Aug 11 2025

Good album with some really great highs. Kind of overstays its welcome but the creativity in the beats and lyrics are unbeatable. great first half with a relatively forgettable back half that takes off a star, but otherwise a solid project

A Northern Soul by The Verve
Aug 13 2025

not bad, good intro to the bad im really into. will revisit
