Scott 4
Scott WalkerI feel like this is something Sean Connery's Bond would listen to while bedding a married woman.
Trippy. Janis sounding like Marge Simpson
Some gnarly transition like halfway through the first song, and some cool bits otherwise but one day on and I remember basically nothing about this
Better than I expected, everything else I knew of The Kinks was so self similar I was surprised to hear a bit of variety on this. The Ringo Starr vibes were a surprise and I don't know if they were a good surprise. Extremely regretting my 3 stars for Led Zeppelin 1. That should have been a 4 or 5 and now I liked this one, but I did not prefer it LZ1. I just made a balls of an early review and now every other album I look at is compared to it.
I love the Monster's Inc soundtrack
I've always held the controversial opinion that Bowie is heavily overrated. Has some amazing stuff but any dive into his catalog always left me disappointed. Always felt like he made weird music for normal people and normal music for weird people. The title track here is a good example of what I mean, with its totally dissonant piano solo. But this is making me reconsider the depth of that belief. I still think he's not really for me the way he is for others, but it might be easier to give his albums straight through listens again after this.
Trippy, but can feel pretty directionless. First track is a lot of fun though
I had no idea that this is what Dan Le Sac sampled for Letter From God To Man. What a great song that is. Started this album so strong and I was finally giving Radiohead a chance. And then the rest of the album played. The day that I found out that the worst song by my favourite band was a Radiohead cover I pissed myself laughing because suddenly Street Spirit (Fade Out) being so much worse than anything else they put out finally made sense.
Detroit Rock City and God of Thunder are the only things keeping this above a one.
Such good craic
make it stop

Cannot believe this is from 1978. Sounds like it could have come out this week. Not really my jam but great nonetheless.
Wild, but that last track totally lost me.
Not sure if it's 5 instead of 4 since I'm listening to this about 12 hours after Ozzy's death was announced, but it's a fantastic album either way 🤘🤘🤘🦇🦇🦇
