Live Through This
HoleGreat melodic, grungy punk with hard hitting feminist lyrics well ahead of their time

Idiosyncratic, eclectic and experimental rock. Well performed and produced.
This album is close to perfect. One of the defining sounds of 90s alternative rock.
Surely one of the greatest metal albums of all time. Down tuned guitars and South American indigenous music.
Very cerebral listen - lots of clever poetry over harp-driven, orchestral soundscapes

I love a bit of jazz and found this stuff fun and almost vaudeville-ian
I'm a big sucker for arty, angular, punky guitar music so this album is definitely for me . Also my first time listening to the whole album. And really enjoyed the live tracks on the version I listened to.
Classy, inventive and catchy electronic music with lots of interesting lyrical content. The Nick Cave cover was an added bonus.
Melodramatic, retro guitar pop. Ok but a little overblown for me to really love it.
Clinical and intense, ferociously avant-garde guitar music. A true magnum opus.
Too long than it needs to be but plenty to like still, particularly for someone like me who's a tragic for indie guitar rock of a certain era.
An old favourite of mine, great easy listening jazz with plenty of complexity.
Wow. First time listening to these guys and I get why they're so influential. Much more musically talented than a lot of hardcore bands I'm familiar with. Love the funk elements!
Loved this hip-hop masterpiece. Funky and fun delivered with consummate skill.
Meh
This album grew on me though is somewhat overshadowed by their other stuff in my mind.
Le Freak is a total disco banger and the rest of the album is enjoyable enough.
Some sublime moments on this incredible debut. Acoustic rock powered by Chapman's great voice and political lyrics.
Can see why this album was a precursor to their popular breakthrough. Acoustic-ish guitar pop with a dash of the post-punk.
Too saccharine for my tastes
Bluesy, folky, soulful, well-executed album, the enjoyment of which has been undermined for me by its overexposure.
You can sense the melodic pop wanting to eclipse the punk sneering.
Enjoyable listen of some pioneering country rock
Atmospheric, avant-garde rock music. Whole album is class.
Long, repeating and interesting songs. A good intro for me to the artists music but it didn't draw me in immensely.
Totally new one for me - both artist and album - and really enjoyed it. Woozy, warm, electronic-ish folk that seems way ahead of its time.
