liked this album a lot!! will definitely revist this one a few times i think! i've been meaning to listen to more elliott smith since i listened to either/or a while ago but never got around to it, and while i don't think this quite reaches the heights of either/or in my eyes this is still really good!!
some tracks i really liked were son of sam, everything means nothing to me and can't make a sound!!
like i think i have to give this a 10/10?? because 1: i think all the songs sound good and some of these songs are genuinely like amazing and 2: how they fuck were they doing that in 1967!!!!! bro what the fuck!!!!!!
some of these parts are insane, like if heroin or european son came out today it would still be experimental and the fact that they were doing this in 1967 is wild
the guitar on this goes absolutely insano crazy style holy fuckkk marquee moon and torn curtain are probably my standouts they're real good but the whole album is amazing
the album of unprecedented whimsy!!
this guy can tell a story i'll tell you what, all the songs on this are great especially desolation row!!!
i liked all the songs!! i thought they were all good and thus the album as a whole is good!! hungry like the wolf and rio go off hard hell yeah
genuinely like very good i wasn't expecting to like it as much as i did!!! shout out the scientist
i mean it’s fine, nothing bad really but like pretty forgettable
i really liked this !!! first kate bush album i've heard and i will 100% listen to more because holy shit that was real good! genuinely like insane songwriting on here wdym there's a song about dancing with hitler and also she predicted people dating chatgpt ?!?! i love all the sounds she uses in the songs like she wasn't afraid to get a little weird with it
yeah so i think this might be the best album of all time
bangs but also doesn't do tooo much for me
gayyy
pretty good yeah this white boy has some groove
like, fine i guess. he sings well and the music is good i just don't really care about any of it to be honest. giving him a big ass side eye for the wack shit he was saying idc if it's 1968 . also what is his obsession with asses getting smacked ??
uh huh oh yeah get it miles oh yeah ! idk it's just good. when it gets all groovy in the middle of the second track HOOOO yeah get it
waow this was actually reallt good!! i have a good feeling about these guys they’re gonna be the british beatles
yeah pretty good!
better than ok computer i'll stand by it until i die
BOOORINGGGG. some parts are pretty good but it gets genuinely bad at times so it evens out
not the silver jews album i would have picked but david berman's lyrics are hard to beat
BETTER THAN TPAB not really but sometimes
i will say if i'm feeling a little #freaky i might prefer this over doolittle
the cocteau twins are aliens i believe
underrated
whenever it's been a while since i've listened to this i'll start to think "sure it's good, but is it really THAT good??" and then i'll listen to it again and it really is
just a bunch of bangers. perfect in its simplicity yknow. get angry!!!
they're calling anything shoegaze man wtf i like the vibe of it but my god my fucking EARSS!!!! STOPPPP it's alright but i like appreciate its influence more than i like it . yurp . just like honey is goated tho even if they reheated will toledo's nachos
when ween's not brown enough
#weird !! but it's so fun and silly i love it . it's not even weird and silly in a way that like sounds bad . it's just a little goofy i don't get why this is so hated :( #JUSTICEFORDUCKSTAB
yesss dude . yeesss!!
brain eno
surprose me with how kinda different it gets . like sure lover you should have come over is like, good . but that was the only one i had heard beforehand so i went into this expecting like that vibe the whole time all bombastic and such but no man ! the riff from so real for real sounds like some slint shit and that's awesome!! eternal life is all grungy like i went into it expecting like an acoustic mopefest, which i probably would have still liked because i did like the acoustic mopey songs, but naww it rocks . #RockOn but also #MopeOn . lots of diversity and range in this one folks
mandatory hot take lover you should have come over is good but it's not THAT good there's at least like five better ones on here . in fact i blame that song for me not listening to this sooner why isn't mojo pin the one that blew up ?? hellooo????
idk i can't really explain why i like this . weird but the songs are good so yeah that's that
