- Listened to studio and live albums - They sound surprisingly similar :) - Wild range of styles - Awesome album, I'm sure I'll listen again, but I don't "need the vinyl"
2/5 - Not awful, but I didn't really enjoy it. Love songs can be great but these seemed to have zero depth. Might be good in movies which I think is where I've heard some of them before.
- familiarity: some, a couple of songs but not artist - album: flowed nicely - instrumentation: broad range, clean, interesting - lyrics: clear, huge range, fits the music, great falsetto - thoughts: really dig it, immediately downloaded all of their other albums - surprised: yes, will definitely listen again - score: 5/5
- familiarity: medium, I know the band and quite a few songs but not this album - album: flow - instrumentation: surprising range: blues, sax, not what I expected - lyrics: fun - thoughts: I liked it, probably not going to reach for it but would enjoy it if someone else put it on - surprised: yeah, a side of the stones that I hadn't heard before - score: 4/5
Instrumentation is pretty good, but I can't get into the vocals
Really liked the music, disliked the vocals quite a bit. I usually like the alternative singers like this, but it didn't have anything special going for it. Inspired me to listen to the B-52s
Rouuuuuggghhh
I like how eclectic and experimental their sound is. However most of the songs didn't really go anywhere.
Had to skip through songs. The vocals rubbed me the wrong way. I think the lyrics were interesting, but I didn't want to listen to them.
Great small group jazz. So many bass solos. I'd listen anytime I want something low key.
Great groove, fun lyrics, will definitely listen more.
