1001 Albums Summary

Plethora of songs one could listen on endless repeat. Would binge again.

All songs make a more or less slow start with a few interesting instrumental transitions. A few songs you can actually listen to for those 5+ minutes of length and bop your head to. The overall tone of the songs does not vary very much. Not bad, but not outstanding.

I tried to pick this one up, but i could not catch it and it landed on the floor. Sorry, not sorry.

Who is this for?

Listened to this album in one go and felt like every song contributed something new to the listening experience. They excel at being actively heard as well as passively fill the background. Many strong tracks in themselves and definitely a few i will add to my playlists.

It's just that good.

I listened to this on repeat more than i thought i would.

This album offers a refreshing and diverse mix of tracks and without reading the titles beforehand positively surprised me with the iconic song "Beautiful" right in the middle. A good handful of these I'd listen to on the radio on repeat. Not my usual music genre, but nonetheless a good album.

Is this how it feels like if hitting the snooze button on the alarm clock would be a music genre?

Quite a pleasant and smooth listening experience, but feels being on repeat a noticeable amount. Good enough to not stop listening if this album pops up, but also not good enough to start it by myself.

Skip, skip, skip, ... Just skip. Not bad per se, but totally not my type.

Enjoyed a few songs quite a lot. A lot of songs could've been dumped though. An interesting and soothing experience.

This album has opened with a strong set of resonating songs for me. It drops off on the latter half, whereby the first handfuls are really good individual tracks. Vocals and instrumentals are held clear and precise, which is a refreshing contrast to today's music available. Favorite track: Into The Light. It also intruced me to a very good cover of Iggy Pop's The Passenger, which Siouxsie does bring out very well. Apparently there's even a 2024 made by both artists.

This album does average out with some interesting and creative background songs, mixed with some very few mumbling duds. There certainly has been a lot of creativity in the creation of this album.

It is Queen, but this is not my Queen i like.

This album gave me a very relaxed time, as well as introducted me, by circumstances, to Mike Oldfiend's album Ommadawn. So, all is well.

The first half of the album has some of the highlight tracks of Moby. In sum this album is a mixed bag, but it containes at least three blues-y ones i'm giving most of the vote for. I simply like them. It is an acquired taste, and that taste can be very repetitive, but in some ways still enjoyable.

Kind of unspectacular rap. It's quite palatable though, and the variety within the album combined with the flat lyrics makes this a good listen-to-once. Don't do drugs.

"Don't You Want Me"? - no

Can't go wrong with this one for a solid country album. Make sure to be on a 10 hour roadtrip and put on endless.
