Have been obsessed with Wuthering Heights since last weekend when I went and watched it last weekend and it’s very fitting that the third song on this album is featuring Kate Bush. The only song I’d heard before listening to this album is Sledgehammer.
Instrumentals are so experimental and hardcore especially for a debut! Vocals are insane also. This is such a fun album! So different, so daring and I’m loving the journey I’ve been taken on. It’s not typically what I’m into or will go back to listen to but I can appreciate the art for every aspect it is. The lyrics are just so ahhhh good! Getting spiritual and self love journey vibes and I love it
Not my jam whatsoever. I’ve tried to listen to them before but couldn’t enjoy. I was bored for the whole duration of this album and was relieved when I reached the last song my god. Lyrically I don’t like it, vocally nor production wise I cannot find appreciation sorry ://// this is a brutal review and I don’t even care
Not a bad album by any means but it’s just a little boring for my taste. I did find connection with Suffering and I enjoyed Burning. Will I ever listen to this album again? No
I was enjoying the journey and then fell asleep (in a relaxed way not a bored way)
I have to deduct points because this album sounds very beatles-esque but I love the kinks and this is such a good frickin album with 0 skips
Okay I actually really enjoyed this! Morning coffee listening to Jesus, Etc and watching the world around me was a moment
I don’t like it, like at all in any way possible. My ears were bleeding and I couldn’t wait for it to end. I had faith I could find some liking in there somewhere but it never came
Listened to this while on a road trip and had a good time vibing out to it. The perfect Sunday morning album and the perfect early afternoon dinner album. Sooooo good
Not horrible just not my vibe
I really enjoy this album as a whole and especially more so after my second ever listen however there are no standout singular songs at this current point for me and I kind of mean that there are no songs just yet that leave a remembering mark. That could change after a few more listens and there definitely will be more plays in the future. I love the album artwork too. 3.5
Unsure why I needed to listen to that before I die
fucking with this hard!!!
I like it but I don’t know about the junkie vibe it’s giving.. it’s good though
It’s not my least favourite sound in the world
This album is perfection from song 1 to song 10 with no flaws in sight AHHHHHHH I couldn’t wait to give my 5 stars to this masterpiece. So. Good. So fun! How can you hate fun? The best ride you’ll ever go on
I can’t really give this anything less than a 5 because I can’t find anything wrong with what I listened to! It’s fun and an easy listen that I could throw on at any time and will often now that I’ve discovered it. Vibeee
Maybe it’s because it’s 5am and I’m getting ready for work and it’s raining but this ain’t for me
I do see why this is on the list
Immaculate vibes! Love it
I have been putting this album off since 2019 when Kasey won album of the year at the Grammys for this and you know what…. It’s catchy!!! I hate all country music I just can’t lie and I still think it’s true with this album being the only exception for now. I find most lyrics from country songs quite ….. corny and juvenile which is quite accurate for this album but still I was bopping along and saved half of the songs to my liked songs so it must be aight in my books. 3.5
You know what… I actually really enjoyed this when I thought I’d hate it as much as I was dreading it because I’ve heard of Korn (and had no desire to listen to Korn) I decided to put it on at the gym because I thought that is probably one of the only places I could catch a vibe with it and it’s actually good! Will I listen to it again? Probably will never think “hey I feel like listening to that Korn album” but I enjoy this album for what it is even though it’s not my genre
Morning album with coffee - superb
Just okay for me… cinnamon girl is just such a classic though
Some good songs but mostly quite forgettable for me
Ahhhhhh I am just down so bad for The Beatles. Such a sonically cohesive album which is my favourite thing in the world when a whole album just flows so smoothly from one song to the next right until the end which is what I find with every Beatles album
Pink Floyd love to really drag out their songs/albums for as long as possible but it JUST WORKS and it’s so them… I just love the vibes and no way will I ever give Pink Floyd less than a 5 you’d be sick for thinking this is less than 5 stars
Pretty boring but not the worst thing I’ve ever heard
I’m hungover and the sound of this made me sick however I can appreciate the instruments when no vocals are involved
enjoyed this album as a whole, I think every song flowed into the next nicely and I like the overall vibe. I think I'll listen to this again and really dive into the lyrics and I'm sure I'll like it more as I listen more & more
fave first listens:
the wild ones
the 2 of us
stay together
whipsnade
I’m demonstrating some serious motivation and will to not give up on this by giving some of these albums my time. I’m listening to this album on my work lunch break and all I’m saying is at least my day is not completely boring. I will never listen to this again but I found some enjoyment and appreciation in it & now I want to watch a German movie with this album as the soundtrack
Ohhhhh yeah this is exactly the type of music I expected and hoped to discover when I started this challenge!!!!!!!! I've heard of Fiona Apple before but had never heard any of her music but here I am now and I couldn't be more excited to go through each of her albums and listen to her voluntarily after discovering this. I love her voice and how she sings the words she's written oh it’s just flawless I can't stop listening to Tidal; especially Sleep To Dream, Slow Like Honey, The First Taste and Shadowboxer! Fiona Apple I am now obsessed with you
it sounds experimental but they never found the sound that clicked so they just threw all the practice songs on the album anyway
I have no other words other than this is simplyyyy perfection of course it's 5 stars. some songs are a bit long yes but when i really think about it, why is that actually a problem? the vibes are there and it works and why am i in such a rush? i'm not actually in a rush so i'm going to enjoy every minute out of the 14 minutes and 59 seconds that is voodoo chile and then enjoy every second of the rest of the album
i'm not sure exactly what i was expecting but it wasn't really this
looked over at my boyfriend to realise we were bobbing our heads in unison and we were only on the second track. just saaaa good, so fire. gin and juice is the best song i've ever heard. this rap album makes me hopeful for the rest of the rap albums that may be here after pulling a few rap albums thus far and being unimpressed with them until i listened to this one from snoop i am hopeful moving forward with rap!!!!!!!!!! thanks snoopy
sigh, did not pull a memorable or commendable album today
I hate albums that are so unnecessarily long for no reason. I did actually kinda like the chill & at the same time upbeat vibe of this. it's giving dimly lit restaurant late at night with every table booked and drunk chattering and that's an amazing vibe to me. sorry but I could not stop bopping!! still just too long and a bit repetitive but sir mj cole you're not horrible and I see you
be sincere .♪..♫
I really enjoyed listening to this and I don't think there's a song I dislike on it. The type of lyrics I can find appreciation for and connect with. definitely my kind of album, almost a 5
grass
supergirl
season cycle
the man who sailed around his soul
dying
dear god
a few great tracks. I love the stones but don't love their albums as a whole
I didn't really like the beginning of this album and wasn't understanding the vibe but as I went down the track list I started to feel some type of way and quickly submerged myself in the concept. I really like the album art too. I'm unsure whether I'll give this another listen in full but there are songs on here that I will listen to again one day in my liked songs I'm sure
nothing really outstanding or memorable here
I listened to this twice because I wanted to love it. It's not bad I just don't think it's my cup of tea. 2.5
Just the epitome of pop perfection right here. Faultless. Hit after hit. Blank Space in to Style??? I'm sorry just every track in to the next one.. it's just so so GOOD. Taylor has a vision and successfully delivers with this one and it sounds like the album was created so naturally which shows the true talent and artistry; I feel like every single song is just on the same level making it just so consistently fantastic the whole way through. I remember the 1989 era so vividly and this album/era just took over the world in the best way possible. Pop masterpiece that is 1989
I really like the album artwork and the name of the album but I cannot give stars to album artwork alone. I wanted more from this and it was disappointing and lacking any vibe. Tim Buckley had a vision but couldn't deliver the LA vibes I was promised
I just dread albums with this many songs, most of the time the album is hard to get through and sometimes it pays off but this isn't one of those albums for me. Maybe I'll listen to it again another day and change my mind but not today.
This album definitely created a special memory for me, especially the song Book Of Saturday. I enjoyed listening to this & it's my vibe for sure
I loveeeee Creedance but I'm not IN LOVEEEE with this album. Of course Bad Moon Rising is just an absolute classic and such a feel good hit but If I'm rating the album on it's entirety then no this is not my favourite album and lacks a bit of flavour. I love you CCR I know you've got better
