This just wasn’t for me at all
Should have only listened to the French version. Production was nice
The first album that has really made me stop and relisten. Not a super playlist-able album but a great consistent vibe. John Mayer-esque at certain points
This was great! The instrumentation is really diverse and the rhythms are so funky. Curious to dive into the meaning
I really like Michael Kiwanuka and there are classic songs on here, but I prefer Love & Hate. This is more like a 3.5
At best, this is just a Rage Against The Machine knockoff. At worst, this is some of the least authentic bullshit I’ve heard in my life. That last song was so unbelievably racist and sexist
There was nothing here that I enjoyed
Loved this! A bit long album wise but I love the bluesy guitars and the distortion on the vocals
AI could never replicate this
Probably more of a 2.5 due to these last two tracks goddamn
Just not for me
One of the greatest voices ever. Not my absolute favorite project from her, but a classic nonetheless
Enjoyed this but not as much as I thought
Hard not to enjoy this
Not for me but pretty cool
Not her best album, but one of the best to do it in the last 10 years so it’s hard to complain
Gorgeous harmonies
Not for me but still pretty fun
Common is incredible. This is peak Kanye production (also some J Dilla sprinkled in). Just a complete masterclass in every sense of the word
I thought I’d hate this from the beginning of the first song but it actually was pretty good! More of a 3.5/5
Very enjoyable listen
Classic rock does absolutely nothing for me (hot take I know). There are parts of this I like but at an hour and a half I can’t stand it
This was very nice!
I can’t stand Lorde. On paper there’s nothing really wrong with this album. But holy shit music is supposed to be about feeling and I feel nothing. Taylor Swift writing with Coming of Age movie production
This fuckin rips
Similar to how I feel about the Nina Simone album on this list. One of the greatest to ever do it but not my absolute favorite album of hers
Grew on me a lot. Pretty great world constructed within this album
Nostalgic
Production is fine. I thought I liked Morrissey but man does his writing suck here
You can tell that this is a guy just fucking around with random music tech and it’s great
Wish this clicked a bit harder for me, but lots to love
In the best way possible, this album feels like the ramblings of a madman at the point before the madness fully takes over. It’s abrasive and raw, and I kinda forgot how important this album is
Didn’t do anything for me
Enjoyed this way more than I was expecting to
I was so incredibly bored by like 99% of this (there are glimpses of the later vibe that the band is more known for). However, it’s made even worse by the fact that Anthony Keidis is a fucking pedophile!
just didn’t click with me despite its importance and some cool ideas
Not to be super rate-your-music-core but this album is incredible
I’m still pretty new to grunge and being a Nirvana fan, but honestly I liked this more than Nevermind and In Utero. Something about the stripped back production and the informal feeling of the live show makes Kurt’s voice more impactful
Greatly enjoyed. Way more sound collage-y than I remembered it being
Liked a good one song
This is a prison abolition album disguised as a lovely little country album! I don’t tend to like country, but my god I love Johnny Cash. I don’t think it’s as good as Folsom but it’s still pretty damn great
Rode the line between woah this is pretty cool and oh my god this is corny as hell and unfortunately landed a bit more on the gimmicky end of things. Some great ideas though
Was pretty bored most of the way through outside of one absolute slapper of a track. So like 2.5
Liked this a lot! The vocalist is awesome
Flawless album. Maybe the best one on this list so far?
Kinda shocked to see this and not The Low End Theory or Midnight Marauders here (wouldn’t be surprised if they eventually show up though). This is still an incredible body of work with everything that Tribe came to define in hip-hop
Pretty funky. Lots of elements of this that I liked
I was kinda shocked to see this as the first Radiohead album in this generator (I’m sure it’s not the last) and was very confused why it was chosen over any of the others. Well, now I understand. It’s really bleak and moody and apocalyptic. It was cool to know that Radiohead had the balls at one point to be on the right side of politics in their music instead of just being zionist freaks now
I don’t think there’s anything I can say about this album that hasn’t been said
Loved the band. Not 100% sold on Bruce’s voice, but his writing is great. I’m between a 3 and a 4
Thought a couple of these songs were RHCP tracks. Take that as you will
