1001 Albums Summary

Running 38mins for 6 tracks that are splendid, but low concentration of bangers. I go to Bowie for bangers. His more arty stuff is great but this isn’t a Bowie album I’ll reach for.

You nerds will never get me to like Steely Dan.

Wow. Just wow. Gorgeous record.

Don’t know what I can say about this album that hasn’t already been said. It’s great.

Do I think Supergrass should’ve been more famous than Oasis? No. Do they make the best case for Brit Pop? Yes.

Sick

A sick prog album in the front half and lame sting songs in the back. Suffers from a track listing problem. Sounds like a band about to break up

Groovy front half with a sick film score after. Loved it.

Love the doors. Honestly the quintessential sound of American psychedelia

Will I reach for it? No. But what a special album.

Bjork cannot do any wrong. Sorry.

Fisher Price Punk. Some bangers but rest just kind of all blur together. Don’t really like the NY Dolls diss track where he calls them the f-slur a bunch.

Baller instrumental album.

Sounds nice. Lyricism is weak. Vibe is cool. I’ll probably never listen to this again but it was good.

Is this the best metal album? Probably.

Not the pop songs I’m used to from Queen. Borders on Zeppelin wannabe at times but overall was really fun

Complicated. I have a lot of nostalgic love for this record but on this listen I couldn’t wait for it to end. A bit masturbatory at times and the track list is too long. A lot of fat to be trimmed. Doesn’t change the fact that there’s so many great songs on this record.

Interesting record. Don’t know if I’ll ever listen to it again. Can’t help but respect.

Fuck yeah. Bob Marley is so much more than the guy on posters in white dread run headshops in the PNW. Music rocks.

2.5 stars. A better story than it is a listen. Laurence of Euphoria is a banger tho.

Continuing to realize that I’m the perfect age to get into Springsteen. Arena rock in the best and least annoying way. Quote Gwen “The arenas were built for him to play this kind of music, not the other way around.”

I fail to think of anything critical I can say about this album. Wow.

Love this album. The power ballads are a lot less lame than I remember. There’s some bside stuff that’s a little too cute for its own good and only used to shoehorn the concept album lore, but the bangers rip. Was going to say 3.5 but got the extra .5 because the album forces you to listen to it like an album. Want Boulevard? Gotta sit through Holiday sucker.

More meandery and strange (derogatory) than the other faces records I’ve listened, but will happily say I’m a Faces convert!
