cool drum machine work. microphones sound very strange. Maybe a little too old school for me to really love.

Not generally a huge Springsteen fan, but i found this album much more to my tastes. The stripped down lo-fi ambiance fits the subject matter.

fun if repetitive. Having a distinct sound means most tracks sound very similar. DJ and beats were quite good, old school sounding.

listened in 2 spurts. Had listened to the fugees a bit and enjoyed this similarly. Really liked the framing audio from the classroom. Really well produced.

more interesting as archeology for heavy metal than "good" but some tracks got nice and noisy and violent.

Good, did some reading about it. Based on a film that was never made. I think I prefer Harvest, but it's all still Neil Young.

enjoyable. Liked "zilch" for its weird a cappella weirdness. First album they played themselves with no session musicians. Felt very much like the beatles but maybe less pretentious?

rather boring, kinda groovy at times but most tracks kind of felt very samey and dull.

Did not really care for this. very synthy art pop which sounds like I should like it on paper. I did not. Some things described it as post punk, but again not something I enjoyed.

excellent, great Motown with a bit of funk influence. Honestly some of the best stevie wonder I've listened to.

kind of just sounded like a "60s" album. Inoffensive but nothing really stood out here, nor was the album structured in any kind of compelling way.

Janis Joplin focused album. Really enjoyed the r crumb art, also enjoyed the bait and switch of including live audience audio when the album is a studio recording.

It sound alike. muddy waters. I was surprised with how clean some of the recordings sounded. Enjoyable record.

solid renditions, really interesting how Charles managed to make all of these songs his own. They do not sound "country"
