That's The Way Of The World by Earth, Wind & Fire
Aug 26 2026

Brought back memories of riding the bus to volleyball games in High School

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Aug 30 2026

One great song after another!

Truth by Jeff Beck
Aug 31 2026

The lyrics are pretty dated and cringe. Probably was better in concert.

Mott by Mott The Hoople
Sep 02 2026

Probably was fun to be a fan at live shows back in the day.

Arular by M.I.A.
Sep 03 2026
Vauxhall And I by Morrissey
Sep 04 2026

I would give 3 1/2 stars if I could. I really like his voice.

Vivid by Living Colour
Sep 06 2026
Aja by Steely Dan
Sep 07 2026

Masterful. Had this album in my collection. Maybe one of the best ever??

American Idiot by Green Day
Sep 08 2026

Maybe 3 1/2. I appreciate the anti-fascist lyrics, but too much drum crashing for me.

Fuzzy by Grant Lee Buffalo
Sep 09 2026

Enjoyed this one!

Call of the Valley by Shivkumar Sharma
Sep 10 2026

I can take a little sitar now and then but that, and the santoor, are too high-pitched for me. Not relaxing or meditative for my system.

Peggy Suicide by Julian Cope
Sep 13 2026

Too dark and angry for me.

Hysteria by Def Leppard
Sep 14 2026

Didn't finish listening Only recognized one song Never was a hair-band fan One star for the one-armed drummer

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Sep 15 2026

Interesting, but not for me. 2.5 stars

Document by R.E.M.
Sep 16 2026

I know I should like R.E.M. better than I do, however the over-saturation of radio-play of Stipe's voice/"What's the Frequency, Kenneth", may have damaged some brain cells. I came to hate that song, but happily, I really enjoyed this album! 4 stars

Next by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band
Sep 18 2026

I guess it was more influential in Europe. It does nothing for me.

Sep 19 2026

The opening line of "Cisco Kid" took me waaay back...but I didn't know any other lyrics! Good vibe.

War by U2
Sep 20 2026

Definitely an influential album! They evoke so much emotion. Love U2!

High Violet by The National
Sep 21 2026

I feel like I have missed rhe boat with The National. I've known of them tangentially thru tv/movie soundtracks and some radio play, but I feel I should do a deeper dive into their lyrics. Was I meant to be a dedicated fan?

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Sep 22 2026

I like a little Jack White/White Stripes now and then but probably would not re-listen to a whole album. Quirky and theatrical. 2 1/2 stars.

Truth And Soul by Fishbone
Sep 23 2026

Had never heard of them before. A few catchy tunes but not enough to go back.

Paris 1919 by John Cale
Sep 25 2026

Kind of interesting with the Velvet Underground connection but overall a little boring for me.

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Sep 26 2026

Maybe it's coincidence or maybe it's the overlords, but I just saw a post yesterday recommending this album! I really like it even though it's a bit redundant. I would categorize it as good Mountain music, best for an outdoor venue.

Music From Big Pink by The Band
Sep 27 2026

Influential, sure, but the best? Guess that depends on if The Last Waltz is on the list.

The Sensual World by Kate Bush
Sep 28 2026

I'm usually not a fan of singers with what I call "little girl/baby" voices, but Kate Bush is one of a kind. I like the arty melodies and what I hear as Celtic influences. 3.5 stars
