The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Sep 18 2026

Jazz Big Band -- smooth Favourites to come back to: Flight of the Foo birds, Double-O, Whirly Bird, Fantail

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Sep 21 2026

Baroque psychedelic British pop rock, with lots of nicely layered harmonic vocals Would listen to almost all barring the 3rd, 8th, 9th

Heroes by David Bowie
Sep 22 2026

Did not like much at all unfortunately Rock A side; instrumental B side Liked some of the instrumental stuff, excluding neuköln

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Sep 23 2026

Really good debut album Favs to keep: Criminal, Slow like Honey, The First Taste, Pale September, Carrion

Sep 24 2026

Very nice: melodies, harmonies, layered vocals, good bouncy rhythms All are great and worth listening to, but faves: Big Sky, Village Green Side 2 felt weaker as it went on but ended strong

Larks' Tongues In Aspic by King Crimson
Sep 25 2026

Very weird structure and tracks Some very cool musical ideas and playing but it's a mixed bag

Shleep by Robert Wyatt
Oct 01 2026

Strides on the wrong side of the balance between dissonant and not Some cool instrumentation and harmonies, but goes too far for my liking

Elephant Mountain by The Youngbloods
Oct 02 2026

I like a lot All the songs, and even the instrumental tracks are great Instrumentation is smooth and groovy, singing is nice, although I have mixed thoughts on the echo that feels a little too delayed at times Silly short track to remind you to turn the disk over is peak

Who's Next by The Who
Oct 05 2026

I like quite a lot Some really good instrumentation, the vocals and lyrics are nice All are worth listening to again

Violator by Depeche Mode
Oct 06 2026

Very cool: lots of funky futuristic sounds and parts that phase in and out. Vocals are nice and lyrics stay on the right side of doing just enough. Favs to keep: Perhaps more The ending of Blue Dress is haunting Clean

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Oct 08 2026

Hotel lobbies sound like bossa nova, but more often without lyrics. I like hotel lobbies

Quiet Life by Japan
Oct 09 2026

Sounds nice: quite synth heavy But I find the songs hit or miss: some are worse off from the whiny vocals, or the dissonant trumpety sound in Fall in Love with Me But the instrumentals on most are really good with some really cool musical motifs running throughout Favs to keep: Despair, All Tomorrow's Parties

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Oct 12 2026

I'm iron man
