When I was a kid I was obsessed with this album. It's been a running joke for years in my family. All joking aside after listening to this from top to bottom (LOL) for the first time since I was probably 5 I can safely say it's a classic. Almost every damn song is good. Younger me had great taste!

Rough finish to the week with RUSH yesterday and R.E.M. today. Neither band has ever really been in my wheelhouse. Despite that I made it through and while this is not an album I'd go back to listen to it was an easy listen. I can see where some bands I probably love got influence from this but it's simply not for me.

It's kind of comical to listen to this (listed as released in 1961) and then listen to some of the music that would come on like a tidal wave later on in the psychedelic 60's. It's not hard to understand how music evolved from those two decades. Regardless for what it is this is fine, just not for me.
