Apocalypse 91… The Enemy Strikes Black
Public EnemyCan't do it. No way I'll get thru this whole album. I'm annoyed after the first 2:53 of the 1st song.

There are some artists that should only be songwriters, NOT singer-songwriters. I'm sorry to say, but Bob Dylan is one of those artists. The man CAN NOT sing! I'll bury myself even deeper by adding that Bruce Springsteen is in the same boat, IMO.
This was one of my first "cassette tapes"! I LOVE this album!
I never turned off Kid when his songs came on the radio but I also never bought or listened to any of his albums all the way through. I still wouldn't buy this album or put it into my regular rotation, but some of the songs on this album still make me turn the volume all the way and bang my head to the beat!
Did not enjoy the lead singer's voice AT ALL. Music was ok. 2 stars
I couldn't even make it through the 1st 3 songs. It's just chaotic noise. It was horrible. I hated it. I will never listen to another My Bloody Valentine song again.
Listened to half the album this time but still turned it off. These are the best albums in history???? UGH!
Rap is just not for me.
I've never been a fan of "gangsta rap" but I appreciate what Ice Cube has done for the music industry.
Maybe it's because I'm older but I don't enjoy this as much now as I did in the 80s.
A creepy concept album. The music is enjoyable. I would have enjoyed the album much more without the vocals. Not my thing. Won't listen again. From Wiki: "The Lolita-esque pseudo-autobiographical plot of the album involves the middle-aged Gainsbourg unintentionally colliding his Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost into teenage girl Melody Nelson's bicycle, and the subsequent seduction and romance that ensues."
I thought I was a music lover. I haven't loved anything I've heard yet. Maybe I'm a heathen. Oh well, I'll keep trying.
Fun classic-50's-rock-type album with some punk notes. Still not 100% my thing but more enjoyable than the majority of albums I've heard already.
Not for me.
I'm not a fan of Elvis' voice. It's too nasally and whiney.
I like a lot of Moby's songs, just not enough to want the entire album.
I never listened to Nirvana with the exception of the songs that were on the radio. I could not make it thru the screaming in the 2nd song. Why does almost every album on this list have a lead singer that is always SCREAMING?! Ugh. I'm starting to doubt the validity of this list...
Finally! An album that I agree should be on this list!
Pleasant background music for working, reading, etc.
This was one of my first "cassette tapes"! I LOVE this album!
Meh, lots of long repetitive songs, some of which were extremely annoying. I did, however, like one or two songs.
I just can't listen to this genre of music. It's just noise to me.
I'm giving this album solely because it was a pleasant surprise to hear Son of a Preacher Man! I never bothered to find out who sang the song. #PulpFictionFan
Meh. I wish we could give half stars because this is just middle-of-the-road. 2.5 stars.

"The Weight" is actually a song that I always thought was called "Take a Load Off, Fanny". LOL!
Reggae. Cool.
This didn't do much for me. A little slow-paced at times and just meh at others.
Nope. After 3.5 songs... Just nope.
I like the music but I'm just not a fan of Mark Knopfler's voice.
I thought I had pretty eclectic tastes when it came to music but I have found very few albums on this list so far that I've actually liked! I can't get thru this album either, 4.5 songs listened to.
This is going to be a very divisive statement but screeching trumpets and other brass instruments are just awful sounding and give me a pounding headache. There is NO way I am going to make it thru the 1st 20+ minute song on this album let alone its entire playtime of 1 hour 45 minutes. It's a no from me.
I hate to rate some of these albums with less than 3 stars because they aren't bad, necessarily, they're just not my thing. But since we can't give 1/2 stars... Irish folk-punk music is NOT my thing. LOL
Again, just not my thing.
The ONLY bad thing I have to say about it album is how short it is!
Not a fan of the lead singer AT ALL. Not for me.
If I could give half stars, this would be a 2.5.
I would listen to some of these songs again.
"Good 'ole boy" music. 2.5
This Album Is Rubbish!
The music is ok but I can't understand a word! ;-)
My God! I can't believe how many of the albums on this list are absolutely unbearable! I forced myself to listen to the entire album because I feel bad giving a low rating without hearing the whole thing but I will never get back the time I wasted on this noise.
Finally! An album that is worthy of this list!
So far, all the songs sound alike, repetitive and annoying. It's like an ice pick to the brain. Literally. I'm 3 songs in and I have an excruciating headache.
Not my thing.
Very quiet, relaxing album.
Good background music for a chill party or something like that.
Definitely not my thing!
2.5 stars
Not for me.
Nice ambient background music.
It's Paul Simon. Not a favorite but still, it's Paul Simon. 3.5 :)
Sounds like a bad movie soundtrack.
Meh. 2.5.
Def not one of my favorite Prince albums but it's still Prince. (3.5 stars)
2.5 stars
Nice bg music for work or reading. 2.5 stars.
I was going to say that the singer sounds an awful lot like Björk, then I looked them up and found out that the lead singer was, in fact, Björk! This is hit or miss for me. Like Björk's solo music, I like some of the songs and can do without the others. 2.5 stars
Not my David Bowie. Made it thru the album just out of respect.
I really enjoy good blues music. I should listen to it more. 3.5 stars.
I was never a big fan of Pearl Jam. Just ok. 2.5 stars.
Never was a Stones fan either... 2.5 stars.
<3 Michael
2.5 just because it's Ice T.
Meh.
Nope.
2.5 stars

Plays like a bad 70s movie credit-roll song.
3.5 stars
3.5 stars.

I enjoyed this album. It reminded me of watching the movie Dirty Dancing.
This album made me realize I'm not a big fan of Talking Heads. Their 4 big hits (that I know of) are enough for me.
3.5 stars. I really like jazz.
Which came 1st? The song or the movie? Google says the album was a slow sell until the title track was used in the movie. 2.5 stars
FINALLY! Another album that deserves to be on this list! Not the best Queen album, IMO, but definitely worthy of this list.
Madonna is one of my all-time favorite artists.
Can't do it. No way I'll get thru this whole album. I'm annoyed after the first 2:53 of the 1st song.

Never was a HUGE Stones fan, so 2.5 stars.
3.5 stars
I just couldn't finish the album, and I REALLY tried. This genre of music does not appeal to me at all.
Reminds me of Bjork. 2.5 stars The album consists of five tracks with song durations ranging from 7 to 17 minutes that deal with events and people who had been important in Newsom's life in the year previous to recording. These events include the sudden death of Newsom's best friend, a continuing illness and a tumultuous relationship. The album was named after the city of Ys, which according to myth was built on the coast of Brittany and later swallowed by the ocean. The album's title was the last element to be confirmed and was a result of a dream that Joanna had which featured the letters Y and S and a book recommended by a friend that contained reference to the myth. Early Clapton. Generic bluesy-rock. 2.5 stars
I remember hearing Steely Dan on the radio as a kid. This is a decent album but I'll probably never listen to it in its entirety again. 2.5 stars
Traditional Cuban music. OK for what it is but it's not my thing. 2.5 stars
Not for me. 2 stars
Did not enjoy the lead singer's voice AT ALL. Music was ok. 2 stars
I never was much of a Who fan. DOCTOR WHO, yes! But THE Who, not so much. ;-) 2.5 stars
Add Neil Young to my list of "singer/songwriters" who should just stick to writing songs. 2 stars
The album is not available on YouTube Music nor could I find it on Spotify so I created my own playlist of the songs and listened to it on Spotify. Who knew I'd know (remember) so many of these songs! Just goes to show how old I am. ;-) 3 stars
"The album was a moderate hit in the United States". More like a one-hit-wonder with "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart?". Had to force myself to finish the album. 1.5 stars
BON JOVI FOREVER!!!!!!!!!! I may be biased but Bon Jovi is the GOAT and my favorite band of all time!!!!
2.5 stars
Interesting album cover... Made it halfway thru the 5th song and just could not continue.
Meh
I never really made a point to listen to Coldplay. I hear their songs on the radio but they never really made an impression on me. Aside from a few songs, this style of music is just not for me. The overall melancholy, sad vibes of most of their songs are not something I care to listen to on any sort of regularity.
I feel bad for giving low ratings just because I don't like a particular genre of music, but for my own sake, I need to know to stay FAR, FAR AWAY from this! 1 star!
Very unique voice. Interesting but probably won't listen again.
You know when you hear a song and you go "OH! So this is _______!" Yeah, that with this group. LOL A Black Crowes song every now and then is ok, but I won't be listening to another album of theirs from start to finish.
WTF?!?!? I had to skip songs because they are LITERALLY painful to listen to! Several minutes later... I can't even with this album. Had to shut it off. It's just excruciating noise!
More screaming... Another album that I won't finish listening to.
1st thought upon seeing the album... "Oh Lordy, here we go with more noise!" LOL And.... I'm out. This is just MORE FUCKING NOISE!!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus Christ, I must be getting old! So much music sounds like noise to me now. Or maybe it always was just noise and I was too young to care!
