An absolute classic. Safe to say I'm a Steely Fan.

Jekyll and Hyde album. First half is superb and the second is terrible.

Might be a little harsh but as far as grunge albums go this one is pretty far down the list for me.

Enjoyable but a little samey. Bass guitar is quality throughout.

Some great songs and a wonderful talent but I wasn't totally on board with the entire album. Waking the Witch was particularly poor. I will listen again and hope to be proven wrong.

Brilliant album with classic songs on it. I will be listening to this again. First impressions are that it's let down by the fact it's a little on the long side at an 1 hour and 20 mins and I'm not sure the No Woman cover version adds much. Nothing else to fault.

Sounds like a mixture of the Stones, Beatles, Pink Floyd and the Doors. Some alright stuff but nothing stands out.

Some great songs about shagging. Some very long songs about shagging also.

Every single person in their 50's has definitely had at least one terrible sexual experience with this playing in the background. Thankfully I'm not in my 50's. This album is fucking rotten.

I think a generous 4 for this one. It's a pretty funky album but I prefer their debut.

Its not for me but I could see the appeal if I was into that style of pop/country crossover.

Perhaps this album hasn't aged well and I am being harsh but I was delighted when I got to the end of it.

Slipknot were a early teenage favourite of mine but I've not listened to this album through. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. A bit of a different direction for Slipknot. A few songs too long or it would have been a 5.

Classic album. Pale Blue Eyes a highlight. One of the best songs ever written. Rest of the album is great also.

It's a banger to be fair

I didn't expect to give this 5 but it's great. Can't believe I had never listened to it from start to finish before.

Loses a star for being far too long and loses a star for the absolutely horrific ob-la-di, ob-la-da. It was clearly ahead of its time but if I never listen to it again I won't be disappointed.

When he's good he's great but when he is bad he is fucking terrible. This album has a lot more good than bad though.

I had no idea what to expect with this one but I bloody loved it.

Hadn't heard of this guy before but recognised a few of the songs on the album. Enjoyable and of its time. Probably won't rush back to listen.

He 'Want Two' and I'm going to give him a 2. Most of this album is just whinging. The second song is great though.

Turgid pish

I'm nearly 31 and have no idea whether I like the beach boys or whether I think they are dog shit. I'm not sure I will ever know.

Can see why they are quite influential. Strong ending.

Under the Bridge aside this album is the same song on repeat for over an hour. How this band became so successful is beyond me. I would have given it a 0/5 if possible.

This album is pretty seminal for hip hop artists but I'm not sure it's that great. From the fart noises on 'Hit It Run' to the lyrics on 'Dumb Girl' and 'You Be Illin'' this album ages pretty badly. I won't be Running back to listen.

This is pretty good. Wish I understood French. I imagine it'd probably score much higher if I did. Definitely return to listen.

Smooth as butter from everyones favourite Chef! The worst thing about this album is that there are only four songs on it. Knocked off a star for the 9 minute intro on 'By the time I get to Phoenix'.

A sneaky 4. More like a 7 out of 10 but I'm feeling generous.

I didn't find this unbearable which is unusual because I despise almost all jazz music. Good background music for a nice quiet cafe or bar.

Probably a generous 3 but it's an obvious influence on people like MF Doom, Dilla, Madlib etc who I really enjoy so for that I'll give then the benefit of the doubt. Loses a point for being too long and another for being too horny. Lucky it didn't lose a third for that Eart People nonsense.

Loved Eminem as a kid but not listened to him in a long, long time. I was dreading going back to this when it came up. Like going back to an old N64 game and seeing how shit it is. This felt similar. A childhood favourite that in my mind probably should remain there. However I thoroughly enjoyed that little blast of nostalgia. This has always been his best album and the best songs on it aren't the hits. As vulgar is it is funny. Shame his later output couldn't come close to this.

Wasn't aware the Jackass theme tune was by these guys. Some good stuff but ultimately this album is far too long and 43 songs long...fuck off. A good portion of them are shite. Generous 3.

I wanted to like it. I was only familiar with the first two tracks before listening and enjoy them both. They might be the only two good songs on the album though. The third track is so fucking bad and it spoils the rest of the listen.

This album was never getting anything other than a 5. It's been a mainstay in my life since I was a child. John Martyn is one of the greatest to ever do it.

Never been a big Springsteen fan but he does have some great songs. First time listening to this all the way through although I was aware of most of the songs on the album. It's a great album and one of the rare instances where the title track might be the shittest song on the entire album. Strong 4

This came out when I was a teenager and being a massive fan of the Dookie era Green Day I absolutely hated it as it felt like they massively sold out. Listening 20 years later and it's not actually that bad. Ideally the album would be a couple of songs shorter. Far from a classic.

This is a nice find and pleasantly surprised this album is so good despite having such a terrible name.

Its always been a classic. I'd probably give it a 9 but they are getting rounded up. Atmospheric and moody. Beth Gibbons voice is iconic.

Lost me a little in the second half but superb opening and closing tracks. Will definitely revisit.

Really not sure whether this is great or terrible. 'Stillness is the move' is a great song but I think the rest of the album might just be pretentious bollocks. It's probably pass marks but only just. Getting a generous 3/5 here.

Tried multiple times to get into DnB and never got it despite enjoying of other electronic music genres. This is not convincing me to become a DnB fan. If anything the opposite. If I have to listen to this album again in this life it will be completely against my will.

What a talent and a fantastic album I'd never listened to before. 97 albums in and this might be the best one I've had so far.

I'll definitely listen again as Gram Parsons is an artist I haven't had much exposure to, despite being well aware of his influence. This hasn't scared me off giving his back catelogue a listen. Got to be one of the worst named bands of all time.

Had this in the car growing up. We all loved the first six songs. My dad would turn if off after Andy your a star because no one liked the second half of the album. It's definitely the weaker half but not as bad as I remember. Overall the hits still stand up but I've probably heard them enough for one lifetime. Maybe a harsh 3/5 but that's what it's getting.

This is a gem of a find. Recognised the vocals from the Knife. Definitely listen again!

Gets better every listen. A perfect album to listen to with a nice Sunday dinner and a few glasses of wine.

It's a great lazy Sunday morning album but on the whole it's just too long and has too much filler for me. Probably worth a relisten sometime in the future in the hope that I am mistaken.

Huge Radiohead fan. Down as a 4 in because there is a couple of filler tracks on here and Kid A is a terrible song. Idioteque and Everything In Its Right Place definitely two all time classics though.

The first song is incredibly bad and is over 10 mins long. I would have switched off if I wasn't committed to listening to every one of these stupid albums from start to finish. The last song also dreadful but not quite as bad. Respect for the farts around the 7.40 mark. On the positives I was already aware Can You Get To That is a brilliant song and I thought Super Stupid was the pick of the bunch. Maybe a generous 3 as I wouldn't listen from start to finish again.
