1001 Albums Summary

More of a 3.5 for me, but since that’s not an option and I enjoyed the later tracks more than the earlier ones, I’m rounding up. Overall had fun listening to it.

Started out enjoying this, but it lost me in the middle somewhere.

Some fun tracks, but not something I would usually listen to a whole album of. It did inspire some adorable toddler dancing, though.

Found a few of the transitions between songs a bit jarring, but otherwise so good.

Enjoyed this more than I expected. Found it accessible and it suited my mood.

Enjoyed this from start to finish, the familiar songs and the new-to-me ones, too. Plus, Bohemian Rhapsody.

I don’t know. I just couldn’t get into it.

Sort of liked Buzzin’ Fly. Otherwise can’t say I was a fan.

I liked it okay, but none of the songs other than the couple I already knew stood out to me.

Back and forth between a three and a four on this one. Didn’t really catch me until Runaway, then there were a few others I also liked. In the end, enough of it was unremarkable for me that I’m going with a three.

My thoughts on finishing this album were something along the lines of: What just happened? I feel like my brain is leaking out of my ears. Did people get paid actual money to do this? I only listened to the first 15-20 seconds of most tracks because that's all I could take. Not even "so bad it's good."

Well, that was disappointing after Lust for Life. Didn't care for this one.

Really enjoyed this. Could have done without Jamaica Jerk-Off. (Haha, I see I’m not the only one who feels that way.)

Whoa. Not quite a 5 for me, but wish I could give it a 4.5.

I can get why it was included, but I just couldn’t really get into it.

I was listening while I was cleaning the house and sort of kept forgetting I was listening to it. I didn't dislike it, but just sort of meh.

Not a good sign when a two minute long song feels too long. A couple were kind of catchy, but mostly I found them annoying.

I liked this but found it mostly unremarkable. Every once in a while a song would make me think, yep, this is Queen.

Started out just sort of meh for me and then I feel like it got progressively weirder, and not in a good way.

Enjoyed this. Also, it helped me power through some of my mountain of housework during nap time, which is I'm sure exactly what they had in mind for their music.
