2/3- Driving to school: Weak vocals and repetitive tracks made the album monotonous after the first 15 minutes. Good guitar tones and nice simple lyricism made it more tolerable.
2/7- Driving to school: So much more freedom and heart than western blues
2/8- Fun r&b with great, uplifting backing vocals to complement a soulful front man
2/9- A master of lyricism, one of Tim Buckley’s best works and a legendary album
2/10- Driving to School
2/13- Driving to school Prime Arcade Fire, lyricism and concepts don’t match to The Suburbs and the style isn’t as engaging either, but still a good album with a lot of fun songs and relatable lyrics.
2/14- Driving to school Springsteen’s push into a more subtle, lyrical form of music hits on all of the strifes and everyday occurrences in a part of america neglected and pushed aside. Emotionally captivating as it is, it also fails to deliver a signature Springsteen punch
2/16- Driving to penn hills
2/17- Driving to school The Doors stray away from their typical sound here, something that would cause a lot of bigger problems in later albums. Although still carried by Morrison’s haunting charisma and talents, this leaves a lot to be desired from such a revolutionary group.
2/20- Driving to school Iggy delivers a more personal, quirky, and personality-filled album here than he was able to give with the Stooges. All of the integral factors of Iggy Pop albums are still present, and it shows the human side of him.
2/22- Driving to school John Prine has an overwhelming sense of love and compassion toward all people- regardless of their beliefs or actions-throughout this entire record. A faithful Christian, he extends his love to everybody. Vocally, lyrically, spiritually, and musically he exceeded all of my expectations coming into this, and I’ll be coming back to it for a long time.
2/23- Driving around Cranberry during nice weather The best solo album of any Beatle, George delivers his years of unreleased and unappreciated work from his time with the Fab Four as a masterclass of music. With Spector with him at the helm, George is able to cultivate love and the beauty of everything- even suffering- into songs that touch the deepest part of the listener’s heart. Some of these songs transport back to past moments in my life, and they hold so much emotion that I almost relive the exact experience that I felt back then. My first five star album from this site, and I’m so thankful I was given the opportunity to listen to this album again today.
