Raw Power
The StoogesGreat
Great
The first side is similar to something like talking heads, while the second side is more slowed down, for me at least. The instrumentation is done very well and just allows you to be in the moment. Favorite track on this album is Backwater for me.
To me personally, feel like a step up into punk rock. Not to say anything before it was bad, but this seems to add onto the sound.
Good
It was really well done, and their original sounds with this album is fantastic. It’s either a hit or miss but don’t sleep on this, deserves a listen
Great heavy metal album, I do recommend
It’s was a good album and had a grooving sound but was lacking in more extensive uniqueness but was more a just an album you give to, maybe have it on in the background
Great album, Paul Simon really does some great and fantastic acoustic guitar work here and his vocals and lyrics seems to go hand and hand.
Good album, mainly easy listening but not too exciting, has good song songs but nothing mind boggling and it’s mainly just a good listen, but nothing I personally love
It was good but not that fulfilling to me
One of my personal favorite rockabilly albums. This debut just does so much right with the simplest of songs and it’s so good.
Great album, 10cc is always a change of pace and they’re style in this album is still fantastic and hole up with their simple yet out of the box songs
Good
Great album. Songs are just so catchy and so great. It’s hard to dislike this album. 9/10
Incredible album, I didn’t have no expectations going into it but it blew me away. Either a 8.5 or 9/10
Was incredible, not much that’s bad to say
It was decent, not really too exciting, especially as a double album it felt a little too long for what it is.
It was interesting, a little different with the song lengths and everything. Some songs did feel like they could be at least 3 minutes long and some shorter. Very experimental with what kind of sounds it can play with, but not the best thing to exist.
Never judge a book by its cover, I really thought this was going to be boring and kind of just bland due to the cover. The cover didn’t appeal to me at first. But after going into the first 2 tracks, I realized how wrong I was. While this album wasn’t perfect, it made me want more. It really does a whole unique take on the punk sound and I really enjoy it. 8/10. I’ll definitely be getting this on vinyl
It was good, not bad but eh. The covers were nice it overall was a decent listen, just very bare bones
It was good but not really something I’d listen to randomly
It was alright but nothing I’d listen to too much, maybe more so as background music or something
Twas good and would listen again
This albums is so bad, it’s so annoying and just bad instrumentation. I really don’t see why people like this.
I honestly didn’t expect this to be that good. I think I’ll have to listen to it again but seriously think this could become another favorite if I listen to it more.
Actually was a great album, great punk sound
It was good but nothing too exciting, was enjoyable though
Good
Actually pretty great
It was actually decent and I did enjoy it, not fully something I’d always listen to but I’ll definitely come back to it
It was really nice
I was not expecting this to be that good, if I review it again I just might give it a 10/10, fantastic
Probably need to relisten to it but for first go it was ok, I really don’t think it was outstanding like people say though
Despite other reviews, this is a great unique album that really shows inspiration. I have yet to dive into the meaning of everything but it’s already great, love his vocals at well
This was actually pretty good, including the final parts of the album. While at first I kinda dreaded it, those final songs were just great. Maybe not a perfect album, but still a great one
It was honestly surprisingly good and I did enjoy this a lot
Honestly underrated and really enjoyable
Really good
Was great
Pretty good but honestly overrated. And doesn’t feel as satisfying as ok computer (the only other radio head album I’ve listened to before this one).
Honestly kind of repetitive, and basic, nothing really to look forward to after each song
Good
This album is really good. Like seriously it would be a dream to listen to it front to back at least once a week. There are so many songs in here that I wish people can talk about more. For me my favorite song on this is Lily (My One And Only).
Really good and definitely takes inspiration from a lot of other artists around that time it seems like, which I personally enjoy
This album is just simply a 10/10. This is just so good song to song. ELO of course has their own sound and feel to their music, and it shows the best on this record, you really feel the music with every part of your body it seems like. Such beautiful songs, and great rockin tunes. This album doesn’t fail to entertain every single time. It’s a joy to listen to this!
Great rockin album and very catchy
Was actually great and I did enjoy it
Honestly not bad but not too satisfying either. I don’t personally mind it but it does sound empty to my ears at parts and I only wish there was more, and kind of cliche with a very 80’s defining sound. It’s not bad by any means but does feel barebones, which makes sense knowing it’s their debut. I’m not sure if anyone else feels the same but that’s what I got from this experience
I don’t care what anyone says, this is one of the three 10/10’s the Beatles have. This album is such an embracing journey and so fulfilling. With so many different song choices and influences, it’s kinda hard to believe how well they goes together side by side. I feel like if you like Beatles but hate this album, your just trying to be different, cause even if you don’t like it as a whole, it’s hard to deny that even the songs by themselves on here is still great. You got the two title tracks, a little help from my friends, within you without you, Fixing a hole, she’s leaving, Lucy In the sky like come on. Especially do not forget the wonderful closing track that is A Day In The Life. This album is nutritious and it’s easy to see why when you take in its sound in full.
Actually amazing. It somewhat reminds me of like Elvis Presley’s self titled but for the garage rocks/gothabilly genre. It’s just a jam all around and I very much enjoy it. I think more specifically I’d give it a 9/10
Just all around great and honestly an essential listen to all who like puck or rock
Really good
A great album that is such an inspiration. While I wouldn’t give it a 10, a good 9 for me goes here, it just does so much musically and personally
The only problem I would say I slightly have with this album is the stereo production and mixing of some songs. The switch between the left and right ear can get annoying at times and feels unnecessary. But that’s not a major problem, it’s only in some songs at certain times. Other than that it’s Joni Hendrix, I don’t think any of his albums would be an 8 or below. This is a 9 for me, is prime 60’s psychedelic, what’s more to say.
Is good
Really great and very welled enjoyed. It’s hard pointing out any “flaws” at all with it at all, it’s just very enjoyable. Probably one of those albums where you really gotta listen to it as a whole. So many great tracks though otherwise
Great
Good album, not entirely fulfilling though
Surprisingly decent, not great but was enjoyable, not much to say about it either, just good
It’s meh to be honest
This album is just full of bangers that can touch the listeners heart
Nothing too crazy. More so just good vibes that I’d probably put on in the background, just good
It’s a great album, not something I always go to, but I do listen to a lot of the songs individually a lot
A 9/10, nearly perfect. The velvet Underground has me at the Banana album but even though that’s a 10/10, they still continue their unique amazing sound and lyrics
A great album that doesn’t disappoint
Really good and I love the classic talking heads sound
As a whole has a ton of songs that feels very interesting and keep you listening, not one on here is a miss but overall can loose the vibe overall, Bar Italia is a great and amazing closing track though
Great album
One of the most influential folk rock records. This and Sound Of Silence easily inspires you to simple pick up an acoustic guitar and jam out. Or to write simple lyrics inspired by their style. I love these album and would probably give it a 9.5/10 only due to just not every tack being a 10
Great album with so much replay ability, and just amazing sounds and songs to come up on this album. Not overall perfect but it’s overall just so fun and it’s a standout
Decent, sometimes feels a little dragged out and some songs overstay their welcome. And most are only above 4 minutes which is kinda saying something. This doesn’t have the best closer as well, Downtown kind of feels a bit repetitive and got irritating. Not a bad album, but not one you listen to front to back, more of a lick and choose specific songs kind of thing, whenever your in the mode for a song from here
Was kind of empty and not too exiting. Maybe just not my style. I’ll come back to it at some point but overall as of right now, as a whole album, feels uninteresting
It was decent, just overall good vibes and nothing too bad about it at all. Kinda same-ey at time but not much
Better than what I was expecting, not entirely perfect though, it is still an enjoyable listen. I’ll have to come back to this soon
Not bad but not perfect, side one is just really nice though
Great album, nothing more, nothing less
Great
This is really good, favorite song has to be Requiem. This album is just amazing, idk what else to say
Really good record that everyone should try once. This band honestly has so much and it deserves the praise it gets
A great album as a whole, and has some good vibes, just a good listen
Great
