Stevie WonderI only really liked Higher Ground. I'm mostly a fan of his hit songs. I've been judging my albums on whether I'd go back to listen to it again. This isn't a bad album by any means. It's just not something I would replay.

Have not heard of Michael Kiwanuka before but I really like the chill feel to this album. A nice mixture of genres and such a great voice. Feel like it would be perfect while having a drink in a cool winebar or speakeasy. Favourite song is Piano Joint. Enjoyed it and will try some of his other work.
I've heard quite a few of these songs over the years. Always very chill music. Some songs can get a bit repetitive but I still enjoy it for the most part.
This is a big no from me. I like a couple of Genesis songs (and individual songs from Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel) but this album is just a load of progressive, experimental rubbish to my ears. Long fables over music at 10 mins long that are neither memorable or enjoyable to hear.
Obviously I've heard "Heartshaped Box", "Rape Me" and "All Apologies" which I don't mind. But otherwise this is not my favourite album of Nirvana's. I much prefer Nevermind. This one just started to grate on me.
Ace of Spades!!! The only Motörhead song I know but I do love it. The heavy drums and bass are awesome but after a while the songs do meld into one another.
E-Pro is the only song I knew of going into this album. I was pleasantly surprised by Guero. Not exactly a memorable album but it had some chill sounds and feels like it would be good when you just want some non-intrusive background music.
As the kids say - this slaps! Was an album I listened to when my music tastes were changing and I was exploring rock. Songs are memorable and nostalgic. Much preferred to In Utero (which I had earlier in the week).
Inoffensive Britpop and utterly forgettable. Will not get a repeat.
He had an amazing voice. His version of Hallelujah is beautiful (my favourite is still John Cale). I wasn't expecting such heavy drums and bass on some songs which was a nice surprise. I did find some of his songs went on longer than I cared for and while he has a nice voice, it also felt like he wailed a tad too much. But a nice album nonetheless.
Really enjoyed Donovan's chilly, hippy, psychedelic sounds. Familiar with Season of the Witch (my favourite) and Sunshine Superman.
George Michael's voice is lovely but after awhile the songs just sound the same.
If this is considered one of the "1001 albums you must listen to before you die", I'm questioning the legitimacy of the people making this list. Problem just grabbed it randomly from a pile of albums to fill a spot on the list? Pretty boring pop with a slight country feel. Nothing really stands out on the album and it definitely not memorable.
I feel like this is album should be used as background music for some candlelit wine bar. I don't hate it and I don't love it.
Nah. Screetchy and winey.
This album gets 2 stars just for "Nuthin' but a G Thang" as it is nostalgia plus.
Young me would have HATED this album because of Björks style of singing. But I've grown to like her sound. Definitely unique and it's pretty interesting.
Pleasantly surprised.
The Smiths!!! They will always have a place in my melancholic heart. This is not my favourite album of theirs but I do still enjoy their sound.
I first heard Elbow in an advertisement for the tv show House. I really love Grounds for Divorce and this is one album I have come back to a few times.
This is giving me lounge music vibes. Background music in a cocktail bar music.
Nothing special. A couple of tunes I recognised from my youth but otherwise meh.

Meh
She can sing but my God the boredom...
I'm a bit of a synth slut cause I like this.
I like Red Eyes but otherwise pretty same same throughout.
Dude... it's peak Beatles! Nice short, boppy songs. Memorable. Easy to listen to multiple times. 30 mins total - no overstaying their welcome. Thank you very much you brilliant bastards!
I don't think I was in the right mood for this one as it just didn't hit right.
It's okay. I like a few select songs of theirs but it just becomes same same after a few songs.
Well shit... I just want to listen to this sort of thing in a bar somewhere. I've heard a couple songs randomly over the years whether in tv soundtracks or random playlists and liked the sound at the time. I usually hate songs that go over 5mins and there are a couple onthis one but I really liked their sound enough to mostly forgive them for that.
Nah - too patriotic and country twangish sounding for me.
Not bad but nothing special either
The first half contains the 3 songs I know and I like it. the second half is okay but forgettable.
Theres alot of 90s hip hop and rap that I enjoy but I missed the boat with Wu Tang Clan. They get my respect for influencing alot of hip hop but I just don't feel it.
Not bad but not a huge David Bowie fan overall
Oh I love Alex Turners voice. I had a couple of songs from this album already but I'd never heard it fully. Very enjoyable!
Nope.
"I'm making a 90s US college movie. There'll be frat house shenanigans and young adult lessons to be learned. I just need the perfect inoffensive soundtrack... this sugar album.... perfect!!!"
Not bad but was all a bit same same
This annoyed me. I don't know why. Her voice? Urgh.
Yeah... I didn't get through this one... boring.
Pre disco bee gees is not a vibe. Like one reviewer stated - 1 star albums st least give you a strong negative feeling... this one I felt nothing for.
Nice sounding album for jazz bar background music. Good for creating an jazzy atmosphere
I had gone into it having heard the first half ovrr the years up to "She's Leaving Home" which I really enjoy. But the second half with the inspiration from their various LSD experimentation, Hindi culture and the sitar exploration etc kind of loses me. I don't hate it but I also don't enjoy nearly as much. Still a great album though.
I don't usually like live albums but this one is entertaining as is the banter with the prison folk.
Meh.
Never heard of Calexico which is a nice change from my recent album choices. I don't mind this at all. I don't know if I'd give it a full repeat in future but as background music it's good.
Instant 5 stars purely for the re-listen-ability of this album. I've listened to this album multiple times over 33 years from my mums vinyl to the radio to cds to spotify. Still fresh. *chefs kiss*
I'm familiar with some of the songs (Heroin and Sunday Morning) but I've never really gotten into the Velvet underground much. Just doesn't hit me right I guess.
What a snorefest! I got excited when i saw moondance but it turns out it is the only song I liked.
Made me want to learn French so I could appreciate it more.
I was actually surprised when I knew Lazy Sunday. Enjoyable album
Boring. Velvet underground 2 days ago and now lou reed... come in generator! Generate me something good.
3 stars immediately for Wish you were here alone. It gets 4 stars as I don't mind the instrumental sound and welcome to the machine. I probably won't ever play it through again in it's entirety though so not a 5.
Good gor background music
I do enjoy Outkast but mostly the most famous hits - So fresh, So clean, Mrs Jackson, B.O.B. After a few hip hop and rap albums, I really don't enjoy talking interludes or random noise interludes. Always takes me out.
33 songs. 2hr18mins.... fuck. Way to overstay your welcome by about 28 songs.
This one was boring. Maybe I have to be in a specific mood for Björk and clearly that wasn't today. It was just a bit too bjorky for me today
I just don't like Bob Dylan.
I enjoyed this.
I voted his last one 1 star. This one I'm much more familiar with and it is much better than the post 911 American love fest album which I despised - yuck.
Didn't hit right.
Boring
Boooooooring
Another good one for a smoky bar room and drinks
I don't think I was in the mood for this one. It's definitely funky and upbeat but I just wasn't vibing with it.
I've tried PJ Harvey a few times and I just can't get into her music. Just nothing appeals.
I got sick of the sameness
Yuck
My god this is boring
I do love the first half as it is pure teen nostalgia for me but the last four songs lose me a little bit. But nostalgia is strong!
Smack my bitch up, firestarter and breathe get a star each for nostalgia.
This is actually pretty chill. Don't mind it.
Boring. Wings and Beatles are better.
Good romantic candlelight dinner background music
Ac/dc - every song is pretty much stock standard ac/dc. Highway to hell is the winner obviously
No.
Too country twang for me
Morrissey is a twat. But fuck it I love his gloomy voice
