Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Oct 22 2023

This music can speak to anyone’s soul. Gives me the feelings of serenity, compassion, and hope.

There were some bits that I liked, Piggy was great. But I often found it too abrasive, and found myself hoping songs would be over soon. Great soundtrack for a serial killer.

Dirty by Sonic Youth

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Nov 22 2023

This is the 70s prototype for Silk Sonic and I’m about it

The Only Ones by The Only Ones
Nov 23 2023

Nothing memorable, feels pretty boilerplate late 70s

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Nov 25 2023

Biggie paints a full picture, each verse and song a brush stroke of a masterpiece. And what is revealed by the end? The visage of a man’s stunning ascent to musical royalty. Shit was so cool, my ears are suffering frostbite.

So by Peter Gabriel
Nov 27 2023
Nov 28 2023

Energetic groove. Listened to a lot of Talking Heads for a period, and they set the tone for that place; which was laid back, fun and a little silly.

Shaka Zulu by Ladysmith Black Mambazo
Dec 08 2023
Strange Cargo III by William Orbit
Dec 11 2023

First 3/4 of this album is pretty sweet. Lots of nontraditional sound coming together into a satisfying groove. Sadly the last quarter resides in a melancholic purgatory that fails to arouse any of the excitement established in earlier tracks. Possible 5/5 without the last 4 songs

Tidal by Fiona Apple

Manassas by Stephen Stills

The Rising by Bruce Springsteen
Feb 21 2024

Not my personal flavor, but I can’t deny that Bruce brings the juice

Elephant by The White Stripes
Mar 02 2024
White Light by Gene Clark
Jun 12 2024

Experience was incredibly soothing, made for a nice wind down after work. There wasn’t really anything I didn’t like about this album, but none of the songs really stood out either. Almost a four

Very impressive stuff, I could definitely feel the energy and talent of the musicians as they blasted their way through each song. While I do laud those that employ anarchist freedoms, I’m not a fan of jazz

Life's Too Good by The Sugarcubes
Jul 09 2025

Weird at first, but by the end of the album I was almost into it. Female vocals really sold it to me, even though the lyrics were at times goofy or outright absurd

Cheerleader

Average rating: 3.69 (0.44 above global average).

Other

Album origins are grouped into three buckets: US, UK, and everything else. “Other” means the artists you rate highest are from outside the US and UK.
