1001 Albums Summary

Listened thru car speakers. Not really my style of music but had some catchy melodies and songs. Recognized a few as I knew it was a famous album. Sounded almost before its time with some of the electronic sounds and samplings

2.5. Speakerboxxx better half. More hip hop/rap centric. The Love Below had alot of "chill" music, not much I actively listened to

First album that I thought I'd hate but it was actually a banger. Had more rhythm and melody than most edm music I've heard. Sampled songs added a nice touch, gave some vocals on top of the synths and other electronics

Jazz, just jazz. I'm not the Droid it's looking for. ALTHOUGH shoutout to my jazz history professor in JuCo for introducing these 2 names that I'm not a fan of

His voice hahaha! It can't be real. Sounds like a voice you'd do when you prank call a pizza hut. This was hard to get through. Mainly because of the vocals. Maybe 2 songs I'd listen to again, Jesus Gonna Be Here and Goin Out West, probably because they were more blue-sy and soul-ey. The rest was a chore. I've never heard of Tom waits or any of his music, but apparently there's a few of his albums on this list so we'll see how those go. This one was a miss for me

Second half of the album is better, but nothing really to blow you away. Soft vocals get drowned out too often. There are some interesting grooves and riffs so can see why it's a hut for some. But it just didn't really do anything for me and I don't think I'd ever go seeking to listen to this album

Most of the songs sound the same. Great singing voice but it all bleeds together. Someone else reviewed that she just sings aimlessly and there's no hooks or melody, and that's spot on. Overall a rough listen, not a 1 star solely because she has a good voice

Not conjecture, this might be the most boring album I've ever sat through. So repetitive and unexciting it gave me anxiety sitting here and hearing the same beep boop Trans Europe Express robot dick slaps over and over for 8 minutes at a time. I kno this album is considered one of the top influential albums of all time and yada yada, but this was miserable
