Scum by Napalm Death

Lots of noise for no reason. There were brief moments of clarity. Lyrically, couldn't understand a thing. Sometimes you connect to the lyrics or you connect with the music. Very difficult to make a connection with either.

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Apr 17 2024

It's a great introduction to Amy Winehouse as well as the new modern jazz style.

25 by Adele
Apr 19 2024

This is like a secret amazing album. Unlike "21" that had a few hits, "25" really only had "Hello" which is the first song. Her musicality of using the voice to invoke her emotions in songs like "All I Ask" and "Million Years Ago" snuck up on me and really made me feel the songs.

Elephant by The White Stripes

It's like White Stripes but with more complexities.

Headquarters by The Monkees

There a couple of good moments. A little interesting, but maybe trying to hard to be weird for the 60s sake.

Murmur by R.E.M.

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Aug 09 2024

Although I loved this album, I found that there was a 30th anniversary edition with way more songs from this concert. So this album was just the best songs from the concert and that left me kinda bummed from not hearing the full show. But then again, maybe it wouldn't score so high.

Low by David Bowie

No Other by Gene Clark

Sounded good. Some of it sounded kinda like soul mixed with country, but I really found he was trying to be Neil Young and Jackson Browne.
