Just not a jack white guy
Some good songs, but overall kinda forgettable. Got tired of the guys voice by the end
Liked this one a lot more than I was expecting. Might throw it on in the morning next to my fireplace and coffee this weekend as the world freezes away
Best album so far! Genuinely enjoyed a handful of songs. "Use Somebody" being the highlight. Would probably enjoy a live show of theirs.
Starts strong with "Darkness, Darkness", got kinda bored until "Sham" which had that 60s rock sound I love. "Ride the Wind" closer was nice. Enjoyed the piano and xylophone pieces. Correction: Ride the Wind was def the best song on the album. Thought some of the songs sounded similar to the Grateful Dead... turns out they were in San Francisco at the same time! And the Dead covers "CC Rider" which i didn't even know was a cover.
This album simply kicks ass. Always avoided them bc of their description as a metal band but honestly found them to be closer to hard rock ala Led Zeppelin. Even had a ballad in there that was nice. Also didn't know they wrote "changes", a song that sounds great regardless of who's singing it. Think that speaks to the quality of the songwriting.
Very punk rock 🤘
There's a reason they call him the King. Far from his best album though.
Not a single memorable song for me, but wasn't offensive
Who's this Timothee Chalamet wannabe?
I'm a simple man. I see RHCP. I rate 5 stars.
Beach Boys harmonies are probably the closest thing we'll ever come to hearing actual angels sing.
Maybe baby I actually liked this album...
A 16 minute song to start the album followed by a 15 minuter? Shortest song is 3 minutes? I knew I was going have a good time with this one. Normally I think most electronic albums start to sound the same, but each song had its own identity and found myself grooving from start to finish.
Aggressively fine
Was kinda forgettable the first go around but liked it more on 2nd listen. "Alison" probably being the highlight. Can clearly hear the influence he gave musicians that came after him. Also can hear the influence from Buddy Holly which was made obvious due to our recent listen of his.
If I was a young girl in the 60s and I saw this man perform live, I'd scream like that too.
Like this one more than anticipated! The vocals are unique and definitely a highlight. Stand out was "come out and play" for me.
Yikes no way I'm listening to all 2 hours of this
Is this the same guy from the acclaimed films "Are We There Yet" and "Are We There Yet 2"?
"Black" was the highlight for me. Had lots of enjoyable songs. May not come back and listen to the whole thing again but definitely had a few standouts that I'll revisit.
If the super bowl hangover wasn't putting me to sleep, this finished the job.
You know I love everything my Mexican brethren do 🇲🇽
My greatest regret in life is not being born in time to enjoy the discotheque in its prime.
Never listened to this one all the way through but now i can say that this is a solud album! Has some greats hits like "Ms. Jackson" and "So Fresh, So Clean". Honorable mention to "Humble Mumble" and "Stankonia (Stanklove)". 2nd half of the album was a lot stronger than the 1st half.
I liked "The Message" but didn't particularly find any of the other songs memorable
I can appreciate the history but this album did not do it for me. Waaayyy too much talky talky and not enough music
