Never realized what a great voice she has. Tons of hits just from this album. Absolutely loved it.

I mean what can you say. Like all thirteen year olds, I had an offspring phase, a time when continuous yelling was one of life's main joys. Nostalgia kept me listening, but this is one of those albums whose deep tracks really make you appreciate the hits that much more. The main saving grace is how much Holland must have loved Nevermind, so just go listen to that instead. Christ just made it to what happened to you. Thought my review was over but God what in the world happened to this song. The silence is smash is welcome.

I had never heard this album, or any songs from it. It rules, love the flute parts.

First time listening to this album, I had only heard Alright before. On first listen it’s pretty good, but nothing that had me on the edge of my seat.

I was pleasantly surprised by this album, while it still feels like generic britpop. A fun listen though!

Cool sound, reminded me of going to the symphony and having your thoughts trail around elsewhere and then being brought back to the music as it dramatically changes

It’s an interesting sound, and I’m sure it’s very influential, but this isn’t exactly and album I’d put on while making dinner or working.

She’s got pipes, but I don’t think the rest of the music and production makes this nothing special. It’s also way too long, shouldn’t have been a double album, I just found myself bored

Another album where I’ve heard all the singles but I think it’s been a long time since I listened to it straight through. I really enjoyed it, there was a level of cheesiness that I think comes from how old it is. Cool sound, but some of the songs start to blend together a bit

Don’t know anything about grime, and I always think UK rappers sound goofy at first, but this was a great listen. I loved the beats and the lyrics started to get me hooked towards the end.

Damn, always been more of a greatest hits police fan, but this ruled, need to be listening to the rest of their albums all the way through.

Another album I had heard some songs from, but this was my first time hearing the whole thing. Cool beats throughout, a lot slower and more repetitive than I expected given the songs I was more familiar with. Great listen.

Harmonica! Grooves a lot more than I expected it to. Would I put it on for a gathering? No. Would I listen to it at work again? Sure!

You know what, if you go in fully expecting the over the top cheese factor, it’s actually quite fun

I’m just not finding this as compelling as superfuzz. Some of the riffs are great, and I think the stripped down aspect is cool, love the harmonica, etc, but it just isn’t hitting for me in the same way

I think this is my first live album. I feel like blues gets a little repetitive by design, but the screaming fans really enhance the music, you can feel the energy of the performance. Great vocals, fun guitar

But several indieheads reddit threads about the band’s collapse due to SA allegations so clearly they had some following in the 10s. But now it’s like no one talks about them anymore, weird ghost town effect. Anyway cool songs, not like my favorite or anything though

Holy shit, this was great, not what I was expecting at all.

Tbh this was a bit of a let down. No single song stands out that much. I love the g funk sound and it’s fun to find little references I recognize from other songs, but this isn’t good enough to overpower continuous misogyny and way too many skits.

At times beautiful at times confusing. I guess that’s Paul Simon. I’d be mad that this album contributed to he and Garfunkel never playing together again but I was born in 99 so that actually didn’t impact me all four stars

Goodness this generator keeps giving me talking heads albums without a single song I’ve heard before. Just how much music did they make? Anyway this was good, felt a little ungrounded, and I think the vocals wear a bit after a while. I’m a fan though, and life during wartime stood out to me, that track was great.

You know, I’m usually a sucker for this kind of song, and the theme from that 70s show was a surprise, but this got boring the longer it went on

The only downside of relistening to this album is that after you’re done you have to go listen to maggot brain again, and then of course that leads to awaken my love and then you’re listening to altiens, then mothership, and honestly after that you’ve made absolutely no progress at work whatsoever.

Can’t think of a single scenario where I’d be disappointed that this album is playing, an all-moods, all-situations, standard rotation album.

It’s a good album, but it feel haunted by Kanye, not only does the production throughout have a ton of his chipmunk soul but then he has vocals on half the songs too. I’d probably like it more if it felt like Common could actually stand out on his own

Wow, only song of theirs I knew before was Oh La La, which real heads will know was featured in she’s the man. This was not like that, but still a remarkable listen. I’m finding that I really prefer albums like this because I tend to listen while working and tunes like these get me into the groove.

You know I hate to have art vs the artist conversations because I think it’s such a huge gray area that depends on context…but in this case I think it’s so clear that fame and money corrupt the delicate human thing that lives inside of poets like Morrison. To become some antivax reactionary freak making bad music because he spent too much time on a pedestal. Incredibly sad that getting the adoration he deserved led him to this. Anyway great album no skips all bangers.
