These songs are all so short and idk how I feel about that. Like it's not a bad thing but for example Whats my name could have just repeated itself for another two minutes and I'd have been entertained. I'm not saying they all sound the same bc they don't actually but it would maybe feel more varied if there were fewer longer songs but that's not very punk. I don't mind them sounding similar at the end of the day but it does kind of back up my being happy with just the greatest hits. I love joe strummers voice tho. Chelp away boyo.

Like I've tried to listen with a fresh ear and not just blindly give it a 5 but if anything that made it better. I think this album was playing at the beginning of time. As the earth was forged Gold Dust Woman could be heard from the core. It's so Big and Urgent without being overwhelming.. like it's a calming album even with those big driving rhythms idk man it's fundamental. I love it so much. Thank you Fleetwood Mac for putting yourselves through all that.

See like A Warm Place is the sort.of track that I would never normally pay any attention to but it's placed perfectly as a Breather. Oooh I'm enjoying this horrible racket quite a lot you know.
If anything it hangs around a bit too long and gets slightly too instrumental and less noisy toward the end. And i don't love Hurt, wish it was a bit muddier. Good closer tho.

Let Down might be okay. But like I'd skip it on shuffle. Same with No Surprises and maybe MAYBE Karma Police if it was shorter. Like if either came on the radio at work I wouldn't actively want to throw the speaker against the wall but if they came on the radio in my car I would immediately change the station. This is me trying to be positive. Fitter Happier best track (no Thom Yorke voice).
Start of Electioneering i got excited but actually in attempting to do an upbeat one have they just done a mid oasis track. Still probably my actual favourite song here - chance that i wouldnt change the station if it came on the radio in my car- but objectively possibly the worst?? Genre issue ig.
Here's the positive takeaways:
1. I can mostly tell the songs apart, I can appreciate some of whats going on instrumentally, it held my attention even though i didn't enjoy it. Contrary to my bad attitude i'm giving it more than a 1.
2. if No Surprises was The Slow Number on a different album i would probably like it. It's a good song.
3. having actually listened to ok computer in full i can understand why a person that isn't me might want to listen to radiohead.
4. I can back up saying I Hate Radiohead with having actually listened to ok computer in full.

I'm only two tracks in but I like this. Very 90s but like a really fun blend of 90s. Would probably be dragged under the britpop umbrella if they were british but there's a proper rock grunginess here.

Lovely. Reckon it benefitted as the first full album of hers i've listened to from not having any of the Big Ones on it. Nice mix of tempos and sounds and just a nice time on a sunny day.

I am finding that I Love an album that opens with its lead single. I guess you can't really know when releasing music what will become your best known song but it just really works for me idk do your best ig.
I love the clash's style of ska it blends in really well with their more conventional shouters and also the like faux rockabilly thing they've got going on in places. Love the mix of influences honestly it makes for a fun experience but one that you've got to be in the mood for. The right profile is a mad one.

Had it playing in my car all day as God intended. Haven't been that far though so im listening in full now. Badlands is THE opening track for when you change cds at the start of your 3.5 minute commute through the boring fucking town you grew up in to a job that you intend not to be doing in 6 months.
