Not surprised to be starting with Beatles, but so many good songs on this album despite not being Beatles #1 songs.
So ridiculously 80s, would need another listen through to appreciate better. 'The Cross' jumped out at me, could be because I was getting used to the 80s vibe by then.
Songwriting stands out, enjoyed the album more than I thought I would
Meh. Seeing The Weight on here immediately turned me off to it
Despite hearing this so much growing up, hearing it now I appreciate it way more. Still not a fan of 'Stop your Sobbing', but the rest of the album sounds great. 'The Wait' is my new favorite Pretenders song.
A solid Queen experience including Best Friend and Bohemian Rhapsody, but also B-sides including I'm In Love With My Car. Glad to have finally listened to this one after its mention in the Bohemian Rhapsody movie.
One of my favorite rock albums of all time.
Great voice, great songs, but calling the love interest 'Daddy' is rough.
Great r&b voice, and sounds pretty cool for early 90s. Lyrics arent that impressive and didn't age well, however Greencard song is pretty fitting for today.
Not disco - 70s soft rock ballads. Did not enjoy it, but giving it a 2 for the high production value on some tracks.
The hits on this album are iconic, but some good b sides too.
Cool sound, interesting reading how album was made.
Cool sound
I like the band, but didn't enjoy the B sides on this one as much as other Police albums
Sounds a lot like The Decemberists.
Kinda cool/different
Love this album, and just saw him a week ago.
Great hits, great sound, good B-sides on this album
Cool, trippy - sounds Beatles-esque but more punk sound.
Some solid B sides
If it weren't for the flute sections, this likely gets a 5 star, great album
Great album, great band. Listen to this one all the time
Weird album title, but guitar riffs and sound are way better than I was expecting. Memphis in particular I really liked.
Love the band, but a few songs on this album were more annoying than fun
Good background work music
Waking the witch was wild. Weird but cool
Really enjoyed, cool sound.
Early funk - recognized a lot of samples - but not sure how this beats out a lot of other albums for 1001 of all time.
His voice drives me nuts, I don't really get the hype and didn't enjoy.
None of the hits, but good album. RIP Brian Wilson
Not bad
The skits made it feel like an early Blink 182 album
Not my thing, but interesting
Fun 60s Flashback
Surprised I hadn't listened to this album before - would have been awesome to see JA live.
Really enjoyed, lyrics are great and depressing at the same time
OK, not my favorite
Did not think I'd enjoy this but was great in the background while working
OK, not crazy about her voice
Today I learned Trip Hop is a genre. Not my thing.
Love this album
Sounds great, wish it was longer
For its time, great blues sound. Listening today, the lyrics aren't great, and songs were wildly overplayed on every rock station growing up.
Great overall sound, but unique across each song across the album. Moog Raga instrumental is terrible.
A lot of great classics, but Dumb and Dumber successfully destroyed Mockingbird for all eternity
I liked a lot of the non-hits, like 'Up to Me'
My favorite BD album
Great voice with a few songs that really stuck out
Meh
Good background work music
Good variety of songs within a reggae album
Wow - incredible voice, and did not know he wrote Everybody's Talkin. Chose philantropy over touring. Glad to have found Fred.
Super 80s, none of the big hits though
Got chills hearing Somebody to Love on this album
