Enjoyed this more than expected. Overall mixed but there were some solid moments here and there. Highlight may be the jungle song (forget the title rn) Did Not like the vocals on most tracks, but when he wasn't doing that bluesy screech I was into it

pretty solid! lost steam a bit near the end, but for the most part i enjoyed this. some psych jams with a latin flavor, sometimes funky or a bit jazzy, overall making for a nice tune-out vibey kinda listen

pretty easy listen. pleasant singer-songwritery folk-rock; not my usual cup of tea, but this was pretty nice, especially instrumentally. however it overstayed its welcome a bit.

YES. the smiths' songwriting is fantastic, and the luscious production is such a treat. fuck morrissey! but his voice is gorgeous and really ties their sound together.

what a surprise, the world's most revered band is really fucking good actually! loved the variety here, the flow of the album, the songwriting, the textures...a really rich and detailed work of art.

the minimalism and repetitive nature can make it a tough swallow, but I believe these can be taken as strengths. It's great mood/atmosphere music.

pretty nice! super pretty soundscapes, dreamy atmospheres, flows really well. Does start to drag a bit but is never an unpleasant listen.

really fun! fantastic musicianship (the guitar playing especially, also some really nice tones) and infectious grooves and free-spirited nature. a bit of a mixed bag but definitely a worthwhile listen

A bit forgettable but I don't mind it. Nothing particularly exciting or interesting but every song is enjoyable enough.

The whole new agey techno-hippie vibe is decidedly not for me, but despite lacking depth and complexity to my ear, this slowly won me over a bit as some decent trippy background music. Not something that'd hold my attention for very long; but tbf I don't think that's the intended way to listen to this anyway.

I wish this was weirder and noisier. I'm not opposed to this genre fusion in theory, but here the country sound heavily outweighs the punk/post-punk, and gets boring (grating, even) quickly. "Psycho Cupid" was the most interesting track by far, and I wanted more of it!

It's competently performed and all, but I just personally find this style of music very tame and uninteresting. It's fine, just not for me.

I'm not a huge fan of male vocals when it comes to grunge, but in spite of that and the general cock rock sound here, this really grew on me and I think could continue to. Some really good songs here. Shoutout to that trippy outro jam on 'Release'.

Great. Noisy and wild, with a lovely change in pace and tone on the B side. Will be revisiting this one for sure.

Practically synonymous with hauntology, and revered for good reason. Radiates an eerie yet contemplative aura. The beats hit hard and the synths surround you and shift like slow-moving clouds, the kind you could almost see images in if you squint, is that a face? a rabbit? I love the way samples are used on here, far removed from any normalcy or context, never quite feeling legible or safe. Great music to sink into.

A bit plain by modern ambient standards, but effective as a thesis statement for the genre. Makes good use of space and restraint. I would probably be a little bit calmer in an airport if this was playing.
