It's Too Late to Stop Now by Van Morrison
Jul 31 2025

Solid live album. Couple of bottles of vino and hang on the couch with your love. Disc one is non stop high octane, disc 2 winds you down nice for the late evening. Too long

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Aug 01 2025

The hits are fantastic, the rest of the album lacks. Great album that's a product of its time but not to my taste

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Aug 04 2025

It really wasn't to my taste. Her voice is incredible, but not one song gripped me. Maybe I wasn't in the mood and missed this one here as she is so revered by all

Tapestry by Carole King
Aug 05 2025

Great production, phenomenal voice. Easy listening and a great all round album.

Aug 06 2025

Turn it up! What a cracker. My cat hated it, he's not known for having the best music taste. Jazz for any time of the day. I will be back. Takes you away, beyond understanding and demands you let go of the steering wheel

Nevermind by Nirvana
Aug 07 2025

Many of us were lucky that this album was incredibly formulative in our younger years. Be it a pure nostalgia piece, or the album/band that kick started what is the shape of our music taste today. Hearing this in your teens, within the first ten years of its release changed an insatiable amount of lives. I can't think of a single album since that had the same affect. A punk album that became popular, not written to be popular and still holds up today. It's been at least 15 years since my last listen and it still holds strong today. Just a damn good time

Vauxhall And I by Morrissey
Aug 08 2025

Plays it safe, bit middle of the road. Can't deny that voice though. Plenty of cliche lyrics. Easy to listen to though and inoffensive, steadily worsens the further your go. Final song is a highlight

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Aug 11 2025

One of the best, catchy as hell and plenty of repeatability. Fantastic first album for a band (and artist) who has given the music world so much

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Aug 12 2025

Mixed bag, but overall fantastic and enjoyable. Some big tracks on this album that hit hard in the best way

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Aug 14 2025

Enjoying it more than I expected. Individually songs don't overly grip me, but works together as a while album incredibly. Catchy

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Aug 15 2025

All the hits, good fun of an album. For me a product of its singles and intentionally made in that way. As far as pop goes it's a shining star

Ten by Pearl Jam
Aug 18 2025

Quintessential

25 by Adele
Aug 19 2025

Absolutely nothing does it for me here. Great voice, but it does not make up for lousy arrangements and average lyrics. Personally found it boring

Vincebus Eruptum by Blue Cheer
Aug 20 2025

Fantastic psych rock album that was clearly ahead of its time

Modern Kosmology by Jane Weaver
Aug 21 2025

Rated it. Nothing ground breaking but an easy listening record. Dwindles towards the end

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Aug 22 2025

My first Dylan album, an artist to this point I've eased on listening to as I know it will only lead to a deep dive. This was great. I will comfortably say if I give this another listen I'll never be able to turn it off

Moondance by Van Morrison
Aug 25 2025

Easy listening, good tracks I couldn't help but bop along to. Unique feel to his music that's still as refreshing today

Dookie by Green Day
Aug 26 2025

Fun pop punk record. Couple cracker tunes, then a couple dull songs. Middle of the road for me but one can't argue the influence it ended up having. Great production, very well executed but all a bit samey

S&M by Metallica
Aug 27 2025

I'm a casual Metallica listener, so I enjoyed this but was a long slog to get through. I enjoyed them not stripping the songs back, but subsequently nothing was added to the songs for me. They're so tight here and all members are top of form

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Aug 28 2025

One of the all times, a classic that never gets old

The Rising by Bruce Springsteen
Aug 29 2025

Probably not the album that is going to get me into the boss. He sounds lonely, the lyrics are unoriginal and compositions a bit boring

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Sep 01 2025

Not bad! Some great tracks, some ok songs. Probably wouldn't sit through the whole album again

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Sep 02 2025

Is it cheesy? Absolutely. Is it dated? Most definitely. But damn it's a good time. Will always have a soft spot for this album, and although the lyricism can be hit or miss, the musicianship is on point. And what a finishing track!

Rejoicing In The Hands by Devendra Banhart
Sep 03 2025

There's nothing here to be excited about. All run of the mill from the vocals to the instrumentals, the melodies and the lyrics. A couple songs with percussion were partially interesting but couldn't save hearing an artist who enjoys nothing more than the sound of their own voice.

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Sep 08 2025

Amazing album, one of pure nostalgia. Never understood the flack it cops, or also the mass appeal but it's well rounded and easy to spin

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Sep 09 2025

Bit up and down as all white stripes albums are, but so many crackers on here. Some of my favourite songs on from them here

Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
Sep 10 2025

Misses out on 5 from me as the first few songs didn't hit, also heavily 80's style drum production isn't my favourite but then this album shifts! Love the fiddle and as a whole the album finds itself in a bizarre realm. Not as out there as I'd expected but will get another spin

Tragic Songs of Life by The Louvin Brothers
Sep 12 2025

A simpler time, easy and enjoyable listening. Bit repetitive but love the product of its time

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Sep 15 2025

Another Stella album. Thank you almost drops it down to a 4, but the rest of the album is up there with some of their best. Killer band with a killer run

Sea Change by Beck
Sep 16 2025

It's ok, nothing ground breaking for me and a bit slower to some of the Beck tunes I've liked before. Quite long as well, not bad by any means

Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt
Sep 17 2025

What a wild ride, needs more than one listen. I can't pin where I want this album, the last track was the ultimate climax and best track. I think I'll be back, so much to unpack

Junkyard by The Birthday Party
Sep 18 2025

Long time Nick Cave fan, but never delved into the Birthday Party. I loved this, it's raw energy and thrash is fantastic. More of this!

Southern Rock Opera by Drive-By Truckers
Sep 19 2025

Kicks here and there but too long to hold attention

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Sep 22 2025

Something else this record, incredible stuff. Blend of everything and anything. Legendary

Sep 24 2025

Absolutely bonkers. This album is all over the place. I can't believe it's as revered amongst the mainstream as it is. The hits are fantastic but vastly different to the rest of the album. Not a negative take but not what I was expecting!

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu
Sep 25 2025

Out there, unique and an interesting experience. I enjoyed the album as a whole, nothing really stood out though and gripped me. Could benefit from another listen

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Sep 30 2025

Catchy, but not overly exciting for me. Prefer other albums in their discography

Chelsea Girl by Nico
Oct 01 2025

Surprisingly rates this! Easy listening, well composed and comforting

Permission to Land by The Darkness
Oct 02 2025

This takes me back, was only a young boy when I got my hands on this album and forgot that I loved it so much. Crazy what nostalgia can make you enjoy! I also forgot how much the back end fizzles on this album. Still a damn good time

Oct 03 2025

Never got around Lupe, but did get around Kanye which they're of the same ilk. Might have got into Lupe back in those days but this was an ok listen. All sounds kinda samey, so many over produced horns in this era of hip hop. Easily half an hour too long

Oct 06 2025

Beautiful, what a way to go out. I love this album, it wanes around the mid section which for me pops it to a 4. Some of his best in his later years

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Oct 07 2025

Good fun, didn't rate it as much as a later album of there's but still a unique record. Frat boy energy hard through this

Face to Face by The Kinks
Oct 08 2025

Love it, fan of the kinks

Immigrés by Youssou N'Dour
Oct 09 2025

Fantastic! If it feels good, love it. As music should be

Street Life by The Crusaders
Oct 10 2025

Easy listening, nothing gripping for me but nice on in the background. Much other jazz I'd listen to before this again

The Man Machine by Kraftwerk
Oct 13 2025

Still insanely fresh, great synth album!

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Oct 14 2025

Great grunge album

Apocalypse Dudes by Turbonegro
Oct 15 2025

Was a punish, not overly interesting or fresh for me

Now I Got Worry by The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
Oct 16 2025

No idea how to rate this, first few songs were not for me but then it kept building and I really loved it. Needs another listen

Heartattack And Vine by Tom Waits
Oct 17 2025

All time artist. Love this album, not my top shelf of the Waits collection but still incredibly enjoyable. This album is just before he reached unseen heights. An incredibly unique artist and a true treasure, a must listen. SPUN

Revolver by Beatles
Oct 20 2025

First ever Beatles album top to bottom, fantastic!

Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Oct 21 2025

Fantastic! Enjoyed this top to bottom, great post punk record. Look forward to hearing more of them

The Doors by The Doors
Oct 23 2025

Fantastic top to bottom. Spins well even after all these years

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Oct 24 2025

Don't mind some of their other stuff, really didn't rate this

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Oct 27 2025

A perfect album for me, both sides I have time for. A few cheesy lyrics you always get but this is one of my favourites. Heaps of repeatability. SPUN

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Oct 29 2025

Fun-ish indie album, extra point the singles being bangen

Oct 30 2025

Seminally important album and holds so pleasantly. Beautiful in the background or to sit in contemplation. I feel he finds his stride in later albums but this is still fantastic

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police
Oct 31 2025

Great fun, good energy and a couple cracking tunes. Big time synergy between the band

Young Americans by David Bowie
Nov 03 2025

Great fun! Might need to be in another frame of mind to fully appreciate it, but some banging tunes throughout

Legalize It by Peter Tosh
Nov 05 2025

Great reggae album, loved it

Parklife by Blur
Nov 06 2025

Fun, britpop has never been my thing and this album didn't bring me round. Didn't hate it though

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Nov 17 2025
Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Nov 18 2025

Brilliant, top shelf

The Stooges by The Stooges
Nov 19 2025

Fantastic, formulative album. Ebs and flows with some misses but overall fantastic

Fly Or Die by N.E.R.D
Jan 28 2026

Solid production and very catchy. Fan of their earlier stuff and had never dabbled in this album. Enjoyable! Cheesy lyrics and a tad too long though

Fever To Tell by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Jan 30 2026

Top notch album, definitely my favourite of their albums. Shame Maps was the single that took off and not Pin or Y Control, each to their own though!

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Feb 02 2026

One of the all times, every song carries its own and Amy is in full swing. An incredible talent, a star of the likes we'll never see again. SPUN

Aja by Steely Dan
Feb 03 2026

Not sure what draws me so much to Steely Dan but love their records, and this could be my favourite. Doesn't carry the hooks of earlier albums but the production and musicianship is phenomenal. Have listened to this endlessly. SPUN

Green by R.E.M.
Feb 04 2026

Conflicted about this one, elements I loved and other pieces dragged. Deserves another listen

The New Tango by Astor Piazzolla
Feb 06 2026

Brilliant, it being live adds so much. Bit long, but I'm sure subsequent listens will remedy that feeling

Bubble And Scrape by Sebadoh
Feb 12 2026

Wasn't overly for me, felt disjointed throughout. Love a lo-fi album but struggled to latch onto anything here. Personally I'd omit for a number of Primus albums

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Feb 17 2026

Beautiful. The start of a special career. Later albums I do prefer but this is still of immense quality and poetry

The Boatman's Call by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Feb 18 2026

The softer side of the seeds, a lovely listen. SPUN

Architecture And Morality by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
Feb 19 2026

Not to my taste, pretty cool for the year it was released though
