My second favorite post Beatles Paul record, after RAM!

Not as good as Monster or Murmur, but definitely has some Hits; Nightswimming!

Have never appreciated this artist.

Very cool, never have dug into their catalog, but was pleasantly surprised! Especially the first couple of tracks, they really pull you in.

Classic Randy Newman; fun to hear his stuff before Toy Story, etc.

Pretty solid, with the hits mostly on the back half, but solid Elvis, if you like the guy.

Impressive! Was it all improvised? Or do he compose it?

Interesting, but prefer their later albums (just like everyone else, I’m sure)

So many great ones, can’t believe these were all on their first record!

War Pigs is the perfect intro! Lots of bangers.

Surprised by this one. You can hear the 90s dance club coming, and were these synths influence for Gorillaz? Interesting stuff.

If you’re even into this sound, Limp Bizkit did it best. Sorry Nu-Metal, just not that into you.

Pretty solid; dug the medley. This is earlier than any RUSH I’ve heard before. I also think I heard a few things the Foos might have stolen, ha.

Solid gold, start to finish, great sequencing, no fillers; found this in high school and have been a fan ever since!

Absolute garbage.

Interesting sound. Huge hit, came back to it recently.

An OK record by the Raggae Master

Amazing album, second favorite Rush record after Permanent Waves.

One song I really liked, Mystery Achievement, but had an issue with her voice and its vibrato. Other songs were pretty stock guitar solos and songwriting.

Too many spacey sound effects. Started off like The Doors with a female singer and too much dissonance. Hard to get through.

Had no idea Daft Punk went back so far!

It’s got some hits, but I’ve never been a fan of The Edge and his atmospheric sound.

Minus 100 points for Where it’s At (2 turntables and a microphone). Plus 50 points for High 5

Amazing, start to finish, all killer no filler. And so many samples, but it doesn’t feel like too much. Well done, boys!

Not really into DJ music, was too repetitious and did the same drum fills in so many songs. Also, if you’re going to sample “Can’t Explain”, use The Who, not some cover!

Some real funky grooves; hadn’t heard this album of his. Good stuff!

Amazing album, brings me back to Summer of 2004 after HS graduation! Take Me Out and Float On were ALWAYS on MTV/VHI and those similar riffs used to bug me, but both amazing songs.

A great listen, lots of hits. Happy to hear some new-to-me CCR. Also, 3 albums in the same year? Crazy!

Pretty stock rock n roll; never been a huge Van Halen fan, and this record sounds like the epitome of Van Halen - big riffs, lots of reverb, solos. Just not for me.

Nice, easy listening folk. Also, interesting voice, wasn’t what I was expecting. Nice instrumentals / accompanying parts.

Fun post-punk project. Had never heard of, and the British accent always helps.

So many synths! Was surprised to learn they were Scottish.

Very interesting, but was disappointed not to hear any David Byrne singing. But I’m sure this was ahead of its time, with the synths, samples, and world music vibes.

Meatloaf is Meatloaf. Didn’t know he wasn’t the writer for all those songs; also, is every song just about wanting a girl…same theme in every track got old fast.

Solid album, lots of hits. Wish it had “Pump It Up” on it, would take it up a notch.

Fun 90s dance music, but too repetitive, usually versus only, no true chorus, no bridge. I liked when the female vocalists came in and actually sang.

Love The Jam, but wish we got to review “In The City”, with “Art School”, their best track for sure. Also, lots of songs are people’s names, and used in the choruses, kinda strange but they worked.

Never really been a Stones Fan. Lots of Blues & Honky Tonk, a long listen, fun at times, but hard to get through.

So many classics for a debut album! Color me impressed.

Strange to say the least. Almost a Björk type. I appreciate the unique sound but had a hard time getting through the album.

It’s got all the hits, but I find it very repetitive, and his voice and that bass work for awhile, but get old after a few songs.

Snoop Dogg starting off strong. Being a pioneer in the early 90s; lots of collabs too. Fun overall.

Solid hits, Down By The River is one of my top 3 for Neil Young! Never heard a proper album outside of his greatest hits.

All the hits front-loaded! The rest of the album is pretty meh, so sadly that brings down the score quite a bit.

Great album, high energy start to finish, plus two greatest hits in their original context.

Beautiful harmonies, but a lot of the same after awhile. Needed that Neil Young input that gradually came along.

OK album, one banger, lots of more exploratory/experimental tracks. Not my favorite Talking Heads album, but worth a listen.

Never been into jazz, but this was definitely an easy listen and the album seemed the right length. Good transitions between songs, it flowed right along.

Strange stuff. Full orchestra but crazy lyrics on most tracks. Lyrics are my favorite, not too much a fan of the melodies.

Classic album, definitely hear the beginnings of Rock & Roll, leading to Elvis and early Beatles among others. Fun listen.
