Usual heavy metal stuff. A riff with a drum beat and a guy trying to sing. Not for me.
Slow easy listening in a country style to some jazz classics. Very enjoyable. It helps knowing all the songs.
Typical Dusty. Grew up with her music in the charts regularly. Easy listening but not my go to singer. Not really for me.
Over an hour of total crap. Same drumming. Same speed. Same supposed singer. Barely a change of musical chords. Usual anarchic lyrics which say nothing. They probably sold a lot of albums and made some money?
Same old same old. Some interesting sounds but very much of its time. Quite mediocre and not one I would choose to listen to.
There are dozens of groups like this thumping out this type of stuff. I frankly find it boring. Super? I don't think so. Unknown? I hope so...
I thought I was listening to Bob Dylan but I wasn't because it wasn't as good. Below par imitation.
Some nice and varied melodic tunes here. Didn't enjoy the really slow numbers. Pretty good all round.
Yes. Enjoyed this album.
Most are the same slowish tempo with some melodic sounds. Might listen to it as background music If I was snoozing on a beach somewhere.
Not bad. I sometimes think The Police try to make their music too complicated on the assumption it will sound better. I don't think it does.
Oh dear. Yet another rocky band trying to say something and change the world. Find the backdoor and head for the bin.
Dear me. They call this guy the boss. Let's sing some pessimistic dreary songs about a guy without a job. His girlfriend is miles away and he's got to find a way to get to her . Oh and he's drunk again and the police are after him. Throw in a harmonica and a guitar and a rough gravelly voice to add to the effect. Absolutely miserable and depressing. New world folk music. Ugh
Yet more shite. Absolutely abysmal.
Sort of Ok-ish. Musically it didn't really do much and I got bored with each track usually about half way through. Was it terrible? No - but it wasn't that good either. Sort of middle of the road and non-descript. Good Muzak for a swanky hotel lift.
Some nice songs. Marrakesh Express very well known. Came out when I was a teenager. Good album.
I just don't like this bloke. The music is very poor and his voice and everything else is poor as well. Please don't choose any more of his recordings.
Some interesting riffs and upbeat music. Many were the same tempo. Reasonable middle of the road stuff.
Oh dear. Protest songs. I hope she has given away All the money she has made to the people she is singing about. That would be nice wouldn't it?
Life's too short to listen to this band again. Their next album took them another 11 years. Let's hope album number 3 takes another 30.
No need to listen to this fabulous album which brings back many happy memories. A classic.
Nice African beats which I quickly got fed up with. Good musicianship but not a go to album for me.
Classic Dylan with some classic songs.
Sisters of Mercy - I pray for singing lessons for the lead singer. He really needs them. The drummer was quite hypnotic. So much so, I was falling asleep. I did enjoy the bass player when I heard him.
Amen 💤
A real attempt has been made to write songs here. They sound like they've been written by a teenager who happened to step into a studio and persuaded the sound engineer to beef them up a bit. Pleasant enough.
I don't want to cramp their style but I could have been listening to rockabilly 12 bar rock and roll from the early 1960s except it was worse. They even managed to ruin the old classic 'Fever'. To sum up - it was garbage man!
How anyone can listen to this crap is beyond me.
Enough said. I won't waste any more of my time or yours.
Originally Fleetwood Mac were a hard hitting cutting edge blues band in the late 60s. However by the time this album came out they had evolved or should I say degenerated into a middle of the road 'girlie, let's make as much money as we can' outfit. True to say, earlier band members who made them great had left by them. I urge you to seek out their earlier work.
I'm not sure how to classify this. It seems to be a blend of country and rock with hints of classic 60s influence. Good musicianship and generally easy listening. Not cutting edge but I enjoyed it.
They emerged from the punk scene and apparently their music is difficult to categorize. Really? Sounds like punk to me and after 47 albums and 50 or so years later, I've heard about them for the first time this morning.
I wonder why? I'll give Pink Flag a red flag warning - steer clear everyone!
A nutty flavour with hints of Cole Porter and Tamla Motown with the obvious Eastern spices but I didn't like it.
Yet another hard hitting loud group. Easy listening If you turn the volume off.
Good album and one I bought back in the day.
Pleasant middle of the road stuff. Nothing to write home about.
The Summer of Love. Remember it well! Alas not this album. Some interesting and diverse songs here and of its time. A nice listen.
I too had a dream Joe. His Dad left him years ago. Apparently he couldn't stand his singing or his music any longer.
I get what they are doing here. However, some of the tracks are too long. The idea is explored over and over again. Too much! Good for 1971.
Boring and dreary. Another group moaning about life and trying to change the world. One or two interesting elements scattered about.
I had fun listening and I'm sure they had fun making this album. One or two tracks were a bit short or I didn't like but overall a good listen.
After a promising start the album went downhill. Disappointing.
