Great guitar throughout the album
Fun to jam to, good focus music for me
Lyrically, lots of anger and cynicism... Are they ok?
Self Esteem is iconic- but also, are they ok??? Therapy is a great idea
The last track, Smash, is devious. I thought something was wrong with my headphones/hearing for a solid minute.
It sounds like the 70s
I didn't mind listening to it. Nothing really stood out, though
Opening song- not what I expected from the Beach Boys!
2nd song - ok, this sounds more like what I expected from the Beach Boys lol
Disney Girls is putting me to sleep. Also, strongly reminiscent of the Beatles
Student Demonstration Time- I like this one! Very bluesy. Interesting use of a theramin
Aside from Student Demonstration Time, not many standouts for me. Didn't mind having on in the background
I like the instrumentation
This is more upbeat, which is appreciated after the last few.
Is this a protest album?
It feels old school, but is actually super recent. I was surprised.
Started strong, then got a little repetitive.
Final Days on the Planet is a strong track.
Beautiful voice. Some standouts, but some fall into repetitive
I like the strong guitars on the first track
I like song 2
Theme from retro was weird and kind of broke up the album in a strange way. Not sure what they were trying to do here.
It suddenly feels like I'm listening to the Beatles. Which is fine, it just shocked me tonally.
They have really strong guitars!
This is an experimental album. I think I like it, but it's not an easy listening kind of record. I want to look up the band's intentions behind creating this, because it's definitely fun, but I want to know if they themed it.
This is the first album on the list so far that I've relistened to immediately to try to see if I missed something/ capture more nuance.
I like the instrumentation, esp the guitars and bass. The addition of an orchestra was fun.
Is this a rock opera? The story of Melody Nelson
It threw me off how short some of the songs were
It was a very cool album. The subject matter however is very cringe. Low key glad I only understand basic French
This is very 70s funk
The second song is kinda fun. I like the rhythm section. Is this about first ladies? Googled it. It's random names and about the beehive hairdo
This album is kinda chaotic lol
You can tell it inspired modern artists
Solid album. Nothing really stood out.
Liked the instrumentation, especially the guitar
As far as individual songs, there wasn't a huge standout here. This may be an unfair comment, due to some of their iconic tracks in other albums
Enjoyed listening to this, would definitely have this in the background
Lol at the diss in the opening song
Would enjoy this more with less cursing
Good beats. I think this has been sampled quite a bit
Snaps for the protest songs
I'm used to such higher speed rap now, the slower cadence is weird for me
I appreciate the wit and humor behind this. The amount of cursing definitely impacted my enjoyment of the album
I'm a sucker for catchy guitar riffs.
It's a good protest album
It feels both modern and retro
I enjoyed listening to this.
I'm in on track 5 and didn't realize it until I checked.
It kinda sounds like the band just recorded a jam session and determined there were different songs based on when they needed a break.
I'm having a hard time getting a clear story here. A lot of them seem like great ideas for songs that need some polish.
Spotify says this has actually lyrics. I don't hear the words Spotify says are being said.
I would like this more if I could understand what is being said
I enjoy instrumental albums, so I'm going to guess my rating will be higher than the global
These are some talented musicians
I simultaneously feel zen and like I want to dance
I'm not a fan of 20 minute songs
I enjoyed this recommendation, will definitely go on my focus playlist
Solid fun beats
Not for me. I can appreciate the talent and it was fine having it on in the background for a while
This is a classic for my generation. I have listened to the musical as well.
Love the instruments, super catchy songs
I really like Green Day and there are several iconic songs on this album
Their band seems to have fun playing together
Good guitar and harmonies
I like this style of music
Very retro vibes. Several tracks (Amy) would fit in pretty well in the 60s.
Also very country at times, bluegrassy (Bartering Lines, Call Me on Your Way Back Home).
Ok, this is definitely country, except with more cursing
I enjoyed it
This sounds way more modern than the 80s to me.
I enjoyed it and there are several songs I added to my liked list. I preferred War overall as an album.
Very chill start. I like their sound
Initial reaction - their songs are all kinda sounding the same. I don't mind having it on in the background, but there haven't been any standout tracks so far.
Amending my comment - the lead sings just about every song the same. The instrumentation does change.
I can respect having a very specific, consistent sound. You get what you came for.
I liked a couple of their songs, but some of the language definitely puts me off.
Great lead vocalist
Reminiscent of Halestorm at times
This feels older than it is, very 70s vibes to me
I like their addition of orchestral elements
The first song was strong for me because it had unexpected elements. The rest of them started sounding really really similar.
This is such a fun, high energy opener
Definitely kept hearing "Odysseus Girl" instead of "This Year's Girl" which made for very weird listening
Pump it up has really fun music.
I enjoyed this quite a bit!
The vocals and music clash a little. Not quite out of tune, but off
The disconnect definitely got better. Interesting choice for a first track
Slight discordance seems to be their happy place
Gospel Plow was cool.
This was an interesting opener. Not sure what to expect
This a moody album, I'm liking it
I love the vocals, love the experimental instrumentation.
Moody polka 😁
This feels like the soundtrack to someone's fever dream, in the best way possible
It ended kind of abruptly. I didn't feel a satisfactory resolution
I like how this starts. Vocally, slight "No Rest for the Wicked" vibes.
Love Interruption is super folksy. Didn't expect it from Jack White. I'm enjoying this
This is a really cool album. Inspired by lots of different genres to create a really neat sound. Great guitar, fun use of harmonies / supporting vocals
I loved this.
Good guitars and drums
Nothing special about the vocals
Solid rock band, nothing really memorable about this album. I had it on in the background. If it weren't for the audience cheers. I wouldn't have recognized when we were into a new song
This is quintessential, solid blues
I enjoyed the featured artists on this album
Started a little slow, but improved quite a bit after Sueno. Definitely didn't think I would enjoy this, but was pleasantly surprised by a few. They have a very 60s sound
Amazing musicians. The talent is just incredible.
Glad this was recorded and popularized. There's a rich history here and such strong nostalgia.
This is not an album I would have on repeat all the time, but I will definitely revisit it
That was a very long intro song. The first 3 minutes seemed unnecessary
I was a little bored. Some of the guitar stuff was fun
Ms Aretha Franklin!!!! Powerhouse vocals right off the top.
This is a very sexy and empowered album
Ended kinda abruptly. I was surprised
Overall, great album
Springsteen has a very distinct voice.
Great opening song.
Solid album. A few songs I may revisit. Others were very repetitive
Very beachy album
Is this a protest album?
Songs starting to sound the same. Lyrically, very interesting. Strange Fruit is haunting, lyrically, but musically, decently upbeat.
Definitely an interesting album.
The Beatles have some weird, experimental songs!
I think I prefer some covers over the original (ie While My Guitar Gently Weeps)
I really like their bluesy songs
Conflicted because some of my all time favorites are on here. Yet there's some stuff on here that I'm just not into.
This is so joyful. I keep dancing along.
Feels a little retro
My French (and Portuguese ?) is not great. So unfortunately, I can't appreciate the lyrics.
Great vocals, good beats, will definitely revisit. It was nice having it on at work to vibe to, but not have it be super distracting
The nostalgia is strong with this one
They seemed to have been deeply inspired by the 60s and the Beatles
They have some catchy melodies and are not afraid to experiment.
Time to Pretend, Kids, and 4th Dimensional Transition are great.
Lead vocals remind me of 21 Pilots
Building steam with a grain of salt is a solid instrumental track
This is a good album to have on in the background. Lots of instrumental portions.
Solid. I didn't mind having it on. Unsure if I'll revisit.
