Even the album opener is a banger. Good Times Roll gives me "Good Day Sunshine" vibes by the Beatles. The vocal harmonies and delivery in general give me a mixture of Queen and The Beatles at times, tastefully done and are incredibly pleasing to the ears, quite catchy as well. The overall sound of the album is quite similar to the stable rock sound of the 80s, if you're a sucker for new wave/80s synthpop-rock sound like me, then this album is an absolute delight to listen from start to finish. One of the best debut albums of all time; you wouldn't take it for one in the first place. It's packed with songs that are hit after hit, basically.

Welp, so.. this was an experience, for sure. It's a fun and easy on the ears kind of a folk-pop/rock album. It wasn't until the Side Two that I started to get into it truly as the songs got more interesting and dynamic imo. Over all, nothing really struck me as particularly extraordinary.
Highlights: Johnny Thunder, Last of the Steam-Powered Trains, Village Green, Starstruck, Phenomenal Cat, Wicked Annabella, Monica
Pleasently surprised by the African Choral sound, which is definitely THE highlight of the album. I'm in no position to comment on the political discourse and controversy surrounding the album, but I can at least tell that it's a nice blend of multiple genres such as folk, pop, afrobeat and r&b.
Favorites: The Boy In the Bubble, Graceland, You Can Call Me Al, I Know What I Know (with General M.D. Shirinda & the Gaza Sisters), Homeless (with Ladysmith Black Mambazo), All Around the World or the Myth of Fingerprints (with Los Lobos)
Feels overwhelming if you try to listen to it in just one sitting, took me half a day to finish. First time listening to an Outkast album, have only listened to a handful of their songs, and I believe it’s a strong rap album. As far as rap albums go, it’s a pretty long one; a double cd/album in fact. Enjoyed the Speakerboxxx side more, though. Psychedelia meets hip hop, and I’m here for it.
Favorites: Knowing, GhettoMusick, Flip Flop Rock (feat. Killer Mike & Jay Z), Reset (feat. Khujo Goodie & Cee-Lo), Church, Spread, Roses
An instant classic, the harmonies are to die-for. 60s music rarely clicks for me but this album is really something. No wonder Paul McCartney was/is obsessed with it. Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is still the better album, though.
Favorites: God Only Knows, Wouldn’t It Be Nice, I’m Waiting For The Day, Sloop John B, Here Today
Well, it's a hit or miss album; Apart from the songs that I listed below as my "favorites", I can hardly recall any songs worth listening to. Easy, laid-back, jazzy songs aside from the bewildering mess that is "Mother". I enjoy me some Sting songs and albums from time to time but this was not it--nope, not my cup of tea at all. A completely forgettable album, no wonder they called it quits soon after.
Favorites: Every Breath You Take, Walking In Your Footsteps, Wrapped Around Your Finger, Murder By Numbers
Literally cannot remember any songs off of the album; only 50 minutes of sitting
and going through agonising depths of boredom. This is the second rap album I had to endure this week and I just can’t, not my cup of tea. Stay safe y’all.

A classic.
Favorites: Blackened, …And Justice for All, Eye of the Beholder, One, The Frayed Ends of Sanity, To Live Is To Die, Dyers Eve
Monáe takes us on a highly satisfying journey with her sophomore album, and I should say the seamless transition from one song to another is just as immaculate as her jumping from one genre to another. The overall jazzy and funk inspired sound album is definitely a stand out and it’s a very high quality album overall. The charming production kicks right in after the first Overture and the rest is just a masterclass in both musicality and vocal performance.
Favorites: Dance or Die (feat. Saul Williams), Faster, Sir Greendown, Cold War, Tightrope (feat. Big Boi), Wondaland, Make the Bus (feat. Of Montreal), BabopbyeYa
Not an album I’d ever find myself putting on again, which is not a bad thing, it’s just not my cup of tea; it was enjoyable nonetheless. It’s more like an instrumental cover album of rock and roll pieces, with Indian classical influences.
A classic country album. A very solid album that stands the test of time. Love me some good ol’ twangy country songs.
Favorites: Return of the Grievous Angel, I Can’t Dance, Brass Buttons, Ooh Las Vegas, In My Hour of Darkness
Another classic. Peak psychedelic rock sound mix blues and jazz undertones, peak vocals; the mood the album sets is just impeccable. It’s a debut album on top of that.
Favorites: Light My Fire, Break On Through (To the Other Side), Soul Kitchen, Back Door Man, End of the Night, Take It As It Comes, The End
It's a nice new wave album, but nothing special in particular. Didn't really stand out to me in any aspect or whatsoever. Dreamy atmosphere is what I liked the best, maybe after a few more listens I could appreciate this album more than I do now. For now, it earns a solid 3/5 from me.
Favorites: Nocturnal Me, Crystal Days, The Killing Moon, Seven Seas
Didn't know what to expect but this was a delightful listen. It's more instrumental and jamming, reminds me of those impromptu jazz sessions. It's a good album to put on as background noise, has some groovy stuff there. I enjoyed it to my surprise. Didn't bother with the deluxe version though for the standard edition of the album is quite long on its own despite having 7 tracks.
One of the best dance albums ever made. If you get it, you get it. The loops and the samples and the heavy drums and all the repetition yet it's one of the most addictive sh*t you've ever heard. Peak late 90s. Unbelievable in every aspect.
A chill album by Pet Shop Boys standards. Goes pretty well with a bottle of wine in the night, you get the mood and the picture. Love the late 80s and early 90s new jack swing sound and, of course, the synths. One of Pet Shop Boys best albums in my opinion. The Further Listening edition of the album compliments the album even more.
Favourites: How Can You Expect to Be Taken Seriously?, Only the Wind, Being Boring, Jealousy, Bet She’s Not Your Girlfriend, Miserablism,
Cute little album. Loved the first track but the rest was just yawn. It didn’t click with me.
Incredibly catchy album. The bass in this album is otherworldly. A classic album through and through. Perfect mixture of (post) punk and new wave.
