More Songs About Buildings And Food
Talking HeadsWas a bit too alternative, not really my style. too much mumbling, to little singing
Was a bit too alternative, not really my style. too much mumbling, to little singing
Like this a lot, want to listen to it more often. Contains some of their greatest songs
Like it, but not for more than 1 listen
Better than I expected when I saw it was Radiohead. I am a bit biased, but they surprised me. Sounds were quite good, liked some songs, but still stayed a little dull and samesy.
Not my music at all, beatles is just too abstract most songs that are not part of top 2000
Surprisingly nice, but not really my taste. Would listen again, but a bit too alternative
Really nice, didnt know it at all!
Its weird, but the good kind of weird? I like the opening track, but after that it is quite alternative
What a horrible music
amazing, nice album
I didnt know what to expect. Never heard of King Crimson. According to Youtube Music it was one of the first Prog Rock bands. They happily surprised me. The Album has a theme to it, which is quite different with every number. Nice assortment of instruments and vocals.
There is so much soul and feeling in this album. Love his voice, combined with the "simple" backgrounds. La-la for you was my biggest find from this album
Music is too slow for me. I know Frank Sinatra is a hero and a musical legend, but it is not something I would listen to on a frequent basis, as the tempo is just below what I look for in music most of the time
There is something to Michaels voice that sucks you in. It is a really nice album, nicely composed. Not something for an everyday listen, but definitely a mood listen.
Its not bad, but also not something I would want to try more often. Its only 4 numbers, quite some mumbling, which isnt ideal for working/reading. When they play music, it is nice.
Country music where you can hear that it is from 1969. Not really a fan of country music. No real energizers, it is all a bit mundane, equal volumes, nothing that jumps out...
Yeah, no... I am not into this at all. Electronic music with a reggae undertone. It is just plain awful
It was a nice discovery, but difficult to pinpoint what I like. Not something to listen to daily though
What a boring, melodramatic album. The strong Bruce songs did not come from this album.
I never liked metal, or metallica all that much. I have seen them live, and that was an awesome experience, as the singers voice has become a lot nicer to listen to. I would never listen to this myself, but I understand why others would like it
There were some surprise songs that I actually liked, and some that I had to skip. You can hear that it is an old album. The music is simple with a lot (or even too much) repetition of instruments and phrases. Opening song was the nicest. Not something I will listen to after this however.
What a hidden pearl. I never heard of this album or the artist, but I fell in love. Such good music, especially the opening song Mick's blessing. Good mix of Jazz and pop.
Papa was a rollin stone is a classic, but the rest of the album was fully new to me. It was a pleasant surprise. Nice voices, and strong texts. Especially on Run Charlie Run, which I had to look up for some extra background story.
horrible
Sympathy for the devil is quite nice, but the rest of the music is okay, but not really my style. Never was a big Rolling Stones fan anyway.
What a boring album, all the same melody, same blues feel without any highs. Mr tamborine man is the only highlight of the album, and even that is more nostalgia than actual interesting. Never really listened to Bob Dylan before, but it doesnt feel like a must listen from this album. Gates of Eden is absolutely not my thing
I always thought I wouldnt like Amy Winehouse, but that is maybe because I despise Valery as a song. This album though was a really pleasant surprise. Good songs, nice mix of different styles. Will listen to it more often!
Mostly a guy with a guitar, who can sing, but it is all the same
Really liked this album, with some golden oldies. I understand why people state that it may be his best album
Girls & Boys is a classic that I really like, but would never add yo my personal list of daily listens. The rest of the album is quite a mix with songs that are listened over 20 mil listens, or only 224k. Parklife is nice, really liked the drums in that one. Bank Holiday, debt collector and far out are a little too alternative for my taste.
Wow this album is way better than I thought it would be. Not too big a metal/metallica fan, but these songs are really strong. Enter sandman I have some fond memories of, as they played live on Pinkpop, and it was afterwards one of the first songs I heard on the radio driving back, reliving the experience again. The unforgiven is also really nice.
What a boring monotonous album
Some good poppy numbers, nothing too special
Good album, with child in time. Like the vibe, although it isnt for an everyday listen.
What a horrible music, my god. Terrible voices. Totally not my taste. Was probably pretty alternative for its age, but given the fact that the most listened song only has a million listens, it is probably not even nostalgic for most people.
Really nice album to listen to, especially the more known ones, such as champagne supernova, Wonderwall, Morning glory, Dont look back in anger. Never listened to the full album, but will def relisten
Surprisingly good! Really liked this album
I like how we all complain about current day music that it is all the same, and too simple, and this album has a song called Mrs. Vandebilt that is just the background voices sing: "ho-heho" for all minutes of the song. All in all a good album, better than some of the other Paul McCartney albums I have heard.
If the guy doesnt talk the songs could be quite pleasant bluesy/jazzy. But his raw voice and mostly the lyrics are distracting (together with the laughter). Eggs and Sausage is the first number he actually sings, and it is pleasant. Better off without a wife is also quite okay. I think I would enjoy this a lot more if it was only songs, and no talking/cabaret at all.
What a mediocre album. Nothing special, nothing outstanding. All kinda samesies.
This is a really nice album. Good music, will have to listen to this one more often.
Some really good numbers, others are less my thing. overall a quite steady album.
This comes to me as surfer rock, and I dont like it a lot. It is laid back, but not too musical.
Electronic music with a good singer on top of it. Like the vibe, not the execution
Really good songs on this album. Reelin' in the years, do it again, love them!
Nice jazzy album, but not too regular listen.
Never took the time to listen from start to finish, although I know quite some of the songs. Some hidden favorites of mine are grey seal and I've seen that movie too. I loved the long intro song, Funeral for a friend, which felt like 2 or 3 songs. Quite an experience.
I have this on Vinyl, really like it. Good songs, good mix of styles, just a classic.
Yeah this is not my jam. Too much rap, too little good songs. Some were a bit nice, but most I skipped.
This album pleasantly surprised me. I started with a little resistence, didnt have the best mindset. But it it pleasant easy rock music, with some celtic fibes. Nice vocals.
A nice listen, but nothing too special. Son of a preacher man is a classic. The rest of the songs are rather forgettable. Also like the windmills of your mind.
This album had quite some songs I knew, but didnt know were from him. Wild world, father and son. Really like this album and its songs
What a mediocre forgettable album. Not bad, just also not unique
Alternative noise, horrible experience, stopped after the 4th song, which luckily was quite quick, as his songs are only 1 minute.
I wanted to like this, but it mostly is just slightly off to be a good song for me.
I dunno. I dont hate it, but I also think it is rather forgettable. Have listened to it 3 times, but no song really stuck out, or stuck with me. I wanted to like it, but it is just mostly not rememberable enough for me.
Not as bad as I thought it would be after the first song. But not my style, never liked electronic music
I normally like everything orchestra related, but this was a bit too raw for me still. This is the Metallica sound that I dont like too much.
Way nicer than I anticipated. Bongo bong is a classic, but some of the French/Spanish songs are quite nice as well. Not a daily listen, but definitely a repeat listen!
Cool songs, good album!
One of my favorite albums of all time. Know this in and out. The chain is my favorite of the whole album
Firth of Firth is a really nice song. The rest of the album is okay to listen to, but a bit too chaotic for my liking sometimes.
A perfect album from REM. I love all the melodies on it. Night swimming, man on the moon, Find the river. No bad songs. Can listen to this all day
Note my music. Lot of noise, lot of sounds, but not melodious.
Forgettable, no real hits or earcatchers. Probably very good for its time, but not a regular listen for me
Better than I expected, but not really my style. The rap and hiphop is quite okay
It started relatively strong. I am not the biggest fan of the simple electronic beats, but some songs were quite enjoyable. At the end however it overstayed its welcome. Didnt like them from Lets make a bomb onwards.
One of the best albums ever. All numbers here are hits. Love it, should listen to it more often.
Nice album, that I just recently listened to a podcast about. This was one of the first albums with a story on it, less of a collection of songs. It is cool that this came in my recommendations only a week later. I do find some of the songs a bit lack-luster. But Bowie never was my style.
Album is not available on youtube music, at least not in the Netherlands. Listened to the title songs via a different route, and it sounds okay. Bit too much rap. The Northern African sounds accompanying are nice.
Contains No woman no cry, but a different version that I am used to. Don't listen to reggae often, but this is a classic. So far really like it. Most of the nummers were quite nice, nothing too special. Better album than I thought.
I probably missed the Zeitgeist on the BeachBoys, but this album is so bland to me. No interesting song, no bangers.
Let love rule is the only song I know, and has by far the most listens. The other songs are not bad, but also not easy listening songs. There are quite some unpleasnt parts in the other songs. I like Be as well, a calmer melodious song, direclt followed by my least liked song, blues for my sister. Lenny has a nice voice, but for me quite often misses the beat.
Gimme shelter is a great song. Love in Vain I didnt like the vocals, but the vibe and instruments were nice. You cant always get what you want is a classic as well.
Lot of great songs on here. Come together, oh darling, something, here comes the sun. I dont like the more experimental songs on the album, such as mean mr mustard.
Punkrock band, with some okay songs, but then also noise such as Drug Me. The overall vibe is really busy, not what I listen music for. I had to turn off chemical warfare, as it got too alternative.
What a short album, only 36 minutes. When I got this assigned I didnt know what to expect, except some old rock band. That remained mostly the same, until the album title song, which I recognized. I can imagine this being a really important album for the time, as I hear quite some influences of it in later music. Focus, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd all kind of come to mind, and were founded later. Interesting listen and read about!
Indian music. I normally listen to these albums when working, but that was quite difficult for this album. It was not bad, but the droning sounds kept me from focussing. It isnt bad per se, but also quite far from the styles I normally listen to. It is interesting though to read about the history, it being the first (well selling) record that made impact outside of Europe, and influcend great names such as George Harrison. But apart from that, not my style, not my jam :(
I dont know if it is coincidence or pushed by the site, but I got this album on the day that was announced the singer of Sly & The Family Stone has passed away. I love the vibe of the album, very groovy. Songs like Family Affair and Thank you for talkin to me Afrika are wonderful songs. The rest of the album was often more of the same, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
What a voice. This blew me away. I dont think I ever heard of her before, but wow. It is so soulful, especially the parts with the gospel. Loved every second of it.
Almost none of these songs are available via Youtube music. Only new kid in town, Pretty maids all in a row and Try and love again. Luckily I know the rest quite well. I love this kind of music and the album. I think Hotel California is slightly overrated, but New kid in town has some beautiful harmonies. Live in the fast lane is a nice listen. All around good songs!
What a weird album. I didn't like most songs. They were too monotonous, too little changes.
A non-defining punk album for me. Really short, lot of samesy songs.
What a nice soulful album. We are family, He's the greatest dancer, Lost in music are all bangers. Nice to listen to, great vocals, interesting backings.
I have previously heard of Christine and the Queens, but that was when she was first getting popular, when this album came out. After that, I dont think she was ever on my radar again. It was a nice way to be reintroduced to her music. The band has a good feel musically. Christines singing is good, although not always in styles that I prefer. This was not bad, but also probably not something I would get back to.
The Cure always has a difficult spot for me. I dont dislike the music per se, but it also is not a vibe I dig normally. The lack of enthusiasm and power for the voice just makes it so undesirable for me to listen to. This album has some great songs, such as lullaby. The instruments are great, but just the singer is the dealbreaker for me.
Nice jazzy album. Good solos, nice sax and trumpet plays. Nice little gem
