Popular Reviews

I had my expectations set way too high for this one. It has some really lovely moments but you have to sit through some really boring moments to get to them. I will try revisiting when I'm stoned later and see if that changes anything.

Funeral by Arcade Fire

It sounds like if Cage The Elephant forgot how to write catchy hooks, I enjoyed a few moments alright though. Probably won’t listen again any time soon.

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe

Somehow met the dude who played keyboard on this album at a bar the same day I got it on the generator. Weirdly cosmic.

Bad by Michael Jackson

Y’all can’t convince me to listen to this child molester - seems like a waste of time

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu

These guys get it. I’m not sure if I do, but they certainly do.

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Aug 02 2023

All time classic, a little over-played but for good reason

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Aug 03 2023

I love a couple Nick Drake songs but this album was more boring than I had hoped it would be

Tommy by The Who
Aug 06 2023

The Who’s best

Bummed by Happy Mondays
Aug 07 2023

Not my cup of tea

Bad by Michael Jackson
Aug 08 2023

Y’all can’t convince me to listen to this child molester - seems like a waste of time

Rising Above Bedlam by Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart
Aug 09 2023

Not my vibe but kind of interesting at first, gets real boring real fast though

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Aug 10 2023

Extremely solid album - damn

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Aug 12 2023

I liked it - easy to get through with some quality bangers, a little generic in spots though

Melodrama by Lorde
Aug 13 2023

I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt but I did not enjoy this album. I could see some of these songs being cool in a live setting like a festival or something but even then idk.

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Aug 17 2023

It sounds like if Cage The Elephant forgot how to write catchy hooks, I enjoyed a few moments alright though. Probably won’t listen again any time soon.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Aug 18 2023

Felt kinda boring at first but then I got high and it all made sense. Not sure if the second half is really that much better than the first or if the weed just made me understand it better. Either way it deserves a second listen.

The Rolling Stones by The Rolling Stones
Aug 19 2023

I like The Rolling Stones but I did not like this album. Generic blues does almost nothing for me.

Maxinquaye by Tricky
Aug 20 2023

This album sucked

American Idiot by Green Day
Aug 21 2023

Obviously they know how to write good songs, still really annoying to my ears though

Aug 22 2023

I enjoyed it more than I expected to at first but got real bored real fast, it’s basically just the same song over and over and over and over again. Still far from the worst thing on this list though.

Now I Got Worry by The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
Aug 23 2023

I didn’t really like it but it got better as it went I guess

Music From Big Pink by The Band
Aug 24 2023

How have I never listened to this one before? Definitely gonna be an album I listen to many many more times

Justified by Justin Timberlake
Aug 28 2023

I hated how much I enjoyed it, starts strong but loses a lot of steam in the second half.

Dummy by Portishead
Aug 30 2023
Too Rye Ay by Dexys Midnight Runners
Aug 31 2023

Eileen is an all time banger. Some of the other songs were fun but a lot less memorable.

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
Sep 02 2023

I wasn't in the mood for this at first so I turned it off after three songs and saved it for later, turned out to be a banger when I listened to it again later that night

Djam Leelii by Baaba Maal
Sep 04 2023

Really interesting, I dig it

Moon Safari by Air
Sep 05 2023

3 is too low but 4 is too high

Cross by Justice
Sep 06 2023
Gold by Ryan Adams
Sep 07 2023
Sep 09 2023

I had my expectations set way too high for this one. It has some really lovely moments but you have to sit through some really boring moments to get to them. I will try revisiting when I'm stoned later and see if that changes anything.

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Sep 10 2023

Another one I'm surprised I haven't heard before. I've never delved into Neil Young outside of Buffalo Springfield and CSNY so this was a great introduction to his catalogue.

All Hail the Queen by Queen Latifah
Sep 11 2023

The highs were high and the lows were low. Overall enjoyable experience though.

Electric by The Cult
Sep 14 2023

Not for me but not as headache inducing as expected

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Sep 17 2023

Somehow met the dude who played keyboard on this album at a bar the same day I got it on the generator. Weirdly cosmic.

Here, My Dear by Marvin Gaye
Sep 25 2023

Really beautiful music. I wonder if this album gave her the creeps.

Homework by Daft Punk
Sep 27 2023

They definitely front-loaded the album with the better material. I was really vibing for like 30 minutes then it became incredibly annoying and hard to listen to. Still the best dance album I've gotten on here so far.

Boston by Boston
Sep 30 2023
Oct 05 2023

This album sounds like everything I hate about 80’s music yet for whatever reason is slaps so fucking hard

Aja by Steely Dan
Oct 09 2023
Pyromania by Def Leppard
Oct 11 2023

Not as bad as the first Def Leppard I got on this list but definitely not that good, I kind of actually enjoyed hating it in a weird way. Really overstays it's welcome after about half an hour though.

Low-Life by New Order
Oct 12 2023

I feel bad demoting it a star for not liking the vocals because I feel like this is how I sound when I sing too. Still pretty solid.

L'Eau Rouge by The Young Gods
Oct 13 2023

I'm tempted to rank this higher because it's so weird and I think some of the tracks have a lot of artistic merit but it just does not sound that good most of the time. Will be revisiting soon to befuddle and disorient friends when I'm on the aux.

Heaux Tales by Jazmine Sullivan
Oct 15 2023

I can’t tell how I feel about it. I liked Pick Up Your Feelings, everything else was kind of a blur.

The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas
Oct 16 2023

Vibey and boring simultaneously, almost an impressive combo. I don’t think I will listen again.

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu
Oct 18 2023

These guys get it. I’m not sure if I do, but they certainly do.

Oct 19 2023

I’m sorry Bobby D I can’t seem to vibe with it like everyone else. Not even mushrooms could make this album sound cool.

E.V.O.L. by Sonic Youth
Oct 20 2023

A very enjoyable 3

Back At The Chicken Shack by Jimmy Smith
Oct 24 2023

I get really excited about the ones I’ve never heard of, especially if they have cool titles and album covers. That being said this album was so boring. It’s decent enough background music but even then I found myself craving something more exciting.
