Janelle MonáeWeird mix of classical music, strange instruments and boring generic songs.
Weird mix of classical music, strange instruments and boring generic songs.
Nice melodies, sometimes very lengthy instrumentals and second class singer
A classic. Definitely transports the vibe of a cuban film from 40-50 years ago, even though it's not that old. However, feels more like nice background music.
Melodic, uplifting music with skilful singing voice. While it is a classic, it's also good music.
Nice beats, clear rap, easy to understand lyrics. Sadly beats get repetitive real quick, so one song yes, a whole album no. It's too boring.
It's a nice album, great instrumentals. Would be 4 stars, but Purple Rain alone gave it the extra star. Such a classic.
An enjoyable album. All of the songs were good. Pretty nice instrumentals. Just no exciting song.
Really boring songs. Lengthy and repetitive instrumentals. No good singer. Some songs were pure instrumentals.
Uplifting groove. Not overly exciting, but definitely not bad.
I somehow get the feeling, that Janis Joplin thought very high of her singing. It's certainly not bad, but I don't consider it supreme.
Really nice blocked guitar play. Texts get repetitive from time to time. Overall music with thought and heart, not much to complain about. Even the long-ish instrumentals keep a good variety.
Some bangers, nothing bad. I like the mixed genres, even though they call themselves hip-hop.
Nice. Not as good as a live performance, but it's still good.
Mainly: boring.
Very ... alternative. The first song being over 20min long didn't make me excited in the first place, but the whole album is like that. It's not really a coherent song list as well, other than all of them having a focus on instrumentals and are extremely long. I could see this album working as background music for a film, but nothing I'd listen to for the sole purpose of listening.
I usually like ZZ Top a lot. Sadly most songs on this album were boring. I didn't enjoy them as much as I would have thought initially.
Chill but diverse album. Very nice to enjoy when relaxing after work.
The voice reminds a lot of Dolly Parton. The country style and guitar is very enjoyable, however doesn't give too much variety to the songs.
This is fun. Probably not my first pic, but fun. Providing such a mixed tape has one main disadvantage: liking one song definitely doesn't mean you will like the album.
Chill album, but no good texts.
A few gorgeous songs. Shoutout to Emily! Most of the album is okay but nothing specialy.
Great music, not the best singer. They absolutely sound like a british punk band despite the fact the are from California. A fun experience.
Sadly a rather boring album. There's nothing special about it.
Good music, nice to listen to. More for background than active listening.
The slow singing is probably meant to be spherical and emotional. Sadly it is mostly boring and monotonous. Surely there are good parts but not enough to actually entertain.
One or two good songs sadly don't make an album. It was not bad, but I wouldn't pick it myself.
Yes! Uplifting rhythms, fun to listen to. Absolutely will get back to it in the future.
Very interesting. Rather soulful music, pretty guitar heavy.
Bot bad, but rather generic metal.
A great voice and nice relaxing music. Perfect for background.
Timeless, uplifting, almost never wrong.
Really nice, seems almost like a musical. The individual songs keep pretty much the rhythm and melody, but it's not too similar to the other songs on the album.
Great rhythms and lots of different instruments.
A little boring from time to time, but not bad.
Nice music, no show stopper but solid.
Would be great as background music for a café or a bar. Probably a little boring on its own.
Nice rhythms, but a little boring. It's probably meant to be spherical and relaxing, but it basically sounds like christmas music with a different text.
Good choice of instruments but nothing overly exciting.
Very special album. Nothing I'd ever would have picked out on my own, but it's super cool to listen to.
Rather generic and boring.
A true classic. Can listen to it over and over again without feeling bored. Bruce is bringing the spring. Or so I hope.
Boring. (And not available on Spotify.)
Such a screechy voice is nothing enjoyable. Plus the sons were pretty boring..
It's good, really enjoyable. No song really stuck, but does that really matter?
There are so many great songs by David Bowie. Just this album doesn't show it.
Great bass. Mediocre singer.
Pretty nice, nothing too special though.
Soft voiced singer, still strong! Some songs a little to alternative for my liking. The album cover is gorgeous.
Pretty good, hard guitar, drums on point. Singer could be better, but it's very enjoyable.
Good but nothing special. Pretty average singer, no exciting rhythms.
Nice, but pretty generic.
Nice as background music, pretty decent instrumentals. The harmonica is fun!
Nice, spheric and something special.
Decent but not earth-shattering.
A fun album, french influences and nice rhythms. Still not super strong, so solid middle ground.
Great country vibes! Some bangers, some good songs. It's a strong 4.5, today a 5, some other day might just be a 4. But today is what counts!
Not great not horrible. Pretty standard metal.
Good music but too melancholic for my taste. The album would benefit from some faster rhythms. The cover is gorgeous though!
Such a clear voice, great rhythm and appealing instruments. Sadly, it is getting repetitive after a few songs.
How long? How long must we sing this song? - Until all the average songs this album provides are over. Unfortunately, the most known song is the only outstanding one as well.
Really enjoyable rhythms with a broad variety of instruments! The lyrics aren't the main part here, but everything harmonises pretty well. It's a little boring over time though.
Not a bad album in any way, but none of the songs managed to stick to my memory.
Very country, sadly not very exciting as well. It's a nice background music for sure! The voice is pretty good too.
Boring. Its saving grace is not having an exceptionally bad song. Funny enough the last one is the best.
The album is a really enjoyable experience. Every song is different, all of them are fun to listen to. Sometimes she's speaking, sometimes she's talking or just making noises.
It is a lot more exciting than many others but sadly not exciting enough for me to listen to it a lot. So still an average score, but a good one.
Very relaxing voice mixed with great rhythms. Nice use of various instruments. I massively enjoyed the first half of the album and liked the second.
I hate Jazz. That being said this album is an exception, spreading a feeling like walking down the streets of Havanna , sitting in a cafe and watching people pass by.
A weird one. There's probably something to it, but disliking most of the instrumentals, not enough.
It's all right. No singing, only instrumentals. Probably wouldn't have picked it, but it is fine to listen to.
