OK Computer by Radiohead
Jan 09 2024

A bit depressing album :D But I liked the messy guitar and slow and emotional vocals. Reminds me slightly of Miami. But Mitski apparently did not draw any inspiration from Radiohead, only Coldplay lol. Also this is a very easy genre for me to listen to, I guess. I think a lot of modern British rock is better, this was a bit slow and bland for me. Not sure what my fav track was. And interesting lyrics I suppose.

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Jan 11 2024

Really liked the album!! Perfect combo of old-timey rock + country + blues + jazz. Didn't know the rolling stones was ... this calm?? Loved some of the guitar in the background. Loved the guitar solos as well. Loved the jazzy piano. Loved the controlled vocals. Definitely calmer than I expected when I read the name "Let It Bleed" by "The Rolling Stones". My favorite album so far!!

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Jan 12 2024

Very depressing … but like, straight to the point depressing, not depressing depressing, in the same way as Radiohead? I liked the song true love travels on a gravel road. Maybe because I accidentally listened to it twice. Maybe it’s the violin.

Let's Stay Together by Al Green
Jan 14 2024

Might be voting it low just because I’ve heard the same damn genre three days in a row This one was at least short Also rebellious guy making innocent songs haha

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jan 15 2024

THIS WAS SO GOOD. Didn’t know bob Marley has so many bangers. Loved everything. This is the stuff I heard in Portugal!!

Back In Black by AC/DC
Jan 20 2024

Imagine dragons of the 80s?? They found a format that worked, kept at it, repeats the same lines and guitar riffs. Cool tho, but a little repetitive. Liked Iron Maiden more.

The Healer by John Lee Hooker
Jan 21 2024

Having a hard time getting interested in this genre haha It’s just scarily close to elevator / queue music for me, which might be my least favorite genre. I’m unsure if it’s the elevator music that has ruined the genre for me, or whether I just dislike it to begin with. But wow, I just can’t get myself to like it. I need some spice.

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jan 22 2024

Classic alternative rock / grunge album, very emo vibes. As opposed to Radiohead, this was a good album in a genre I like. Kinda similar to Nirvana, slightly less depressing, slightly more to the point. Apparently a band that inspired Fall out boy, MCR and Silversun Pickups.

Liquid Swords by GZA
Jan 23 2024

Didn’t catch much of the text but loved the album still. You could see it’s a very well planned album. Probably my favorite rap album so far. Will have to relisten one day.

Rattus Norvegicus by The Stranglers
Jan 24 2024

A little Beatles ish. Didn’t enjoy it as much as I should have cos I was stress listening to ABBA

Sheet Music by 10cc
Jan 25 2024

Ooooo, very cool album so far. Kinda retro british rock, but, COOL? compared to the last album. Yesterday's album had a tiny bit of The Beatles vibes.
