Rumours
Fleetwood MacEasiest 5 yet! Perhaps not always a formula for success, but this is what happens when everyone in the band is banging one another.

Excellent rock and psych rooted in blues. I think Clapton might be a wanker, but I’ll keep that out of this. 4 Creams / 5.
About as perfect as a rock album can get.
Chicken Shack vibes, but not terribly dynamic or interesting. 2 licked fingers out of 5.
Honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed this. The production was minimal yet polished. The combination of acoustic guitar, house style beats, and pop vocals made for a fun listen. 3.5 / 5
Not something I normally listen to, but happened to throw on my headphones at 2AM while my baby was screaming. It was relatively calming. Two tears out of five.
The review is in the album title. How is this on this list?!
A handful of quintessential songs of the 80s, but if you remove them, the album is sort of meh.
Not the biggest MJ fan but can’t deny his talent and influence.
Surprisingly enjoyed this album so much that I went back for a second listen! Doesn’t seem to be popular on Spotify so perhaps it’s a sort of hidden gem (or undeserving of being on this list, who knows).
Excellent album, but the second half drags on a bit IMO.
Elton knows his shit. Except for that Wankin’ Jamaican track.
Interesting listen. Sad story about ol’ Skip, but I don’t see how this warrants being in the top 500 albums of all time.
I’m an instrumental guy so this wasn’t interesting to me. Surly the lyrics are the focal point and are fantastic, someday I’ll sit down and read them. :)
Not the type of Nick Cave that I enjoy. Too much Murder. Too many Ballads.
The start of a wonderful streak. Solid, but not the perfect Heads album.
My kind of Jam! Really enjoyed this.
Masterpiece!
One of Americas OG badasses.
I can see why this is on here. Mezzanine is better. :)
It appears I am a fan of the millennium Madonna.
It’s no Millennium Madonna. Had a few enjoyable tracks, nothing too memorable off the first listen.
Rich instrumentals and production, pretty dynamic genre-wise without any one track feeling out of place.
First half was great. Nice Trip-Hop / shoegazy sounds. Sort of trailed off in the second half.
I’m offended as a visual designer, and a lover of 80s new wave music. Not terrible, but it sounds like a caricature of 80s music.
I like their earlier stuff more, but enjoyed this.
Finally, something new that is a banger! Tempted to give it a 5 and I’m sure it’s worthy. Will be spending more time with this. Bowie and 70s rock soaked. Love it!
A surprisingly enjoyable album for having virtually no streams on Spotify (I guess that’s part of my metric in gauging an albums “greatness”)! Seems to be under the label of “Brit Pop” but I thought it was kind of psychedelic at times. 3.5/5
Maybe it was more monumental at the time? Idk I’ve always changed the station every time Jefferson Airplane comes on the radio so it might be a personal preference. Jefferson STARSHIP, on the other hand… (kidding!)

Not bad for being like 60 years old.
Excellent rock and psych rooted in blues. I think Clapton might be a wanker, but I’ll keep that out of this. 4 Creams / 5.
Cool bass leads. Blue Turk was an unexpected jazzy jam. I know the visuals were an appeal to Alice’s shows but some of the music is too theatrical or just plain flat for me. School’s Out will always remain on my radio if it comes on.
I really like earlier XTC, but this just didn’t click.
Smoothie. (Smooth Stevie)
Solid White Stripes album. Not my favorite, but a handful of classics and the rest are enjoyable.
I don’t like much folk music. And ~ 2010 there was plenty of terrible folk pop pumping through the radio, like vanilla pudding in my mouth. This, however, is solid. I didn’t like it when it came out, but have had repeated listens over the past 10 years and it has grown on me (or maybe…I’ve grown?). Agreed that it is a great fall / winter album.
The 80s holding on for dear life at the brink of early 90s.
What’s this? Punk music with Guns N Roses styled production? Crass, lewd, and non-sensical lyrics — how can you kids listen to this? I feel really bad for this generation. Get a job! This album defined a generation.
Notes of Beatles, ELO, Pink Floyd. Pretty enjoyable, but not sure if I’ll come back to it. Breakfast in America and Brother Where you Bound is where it’s at!
This is fine and dandy. Would listen again!
I mean, I like his body, I think he’s sexy — I have no problem with him knowing that. I’d also let him know that this album about put me to sleep while driving.
Another one of these goofy albums? In the top 1001? C’monnnnnn. Definitely one of those albums where you could pick up more details with every listen, although in this case, is never likely to happen.
What a grand finale.
Solid rock album, man.
Seeing the movie “Detroit Rock City” at a young age may have primed me for this. Pretty good for 70s “shock rock”.
