1001 Albums Summary

I wanted to like this more than I found I did. If halves were an option it'd be 3.5.

Absolutely nothing wrong with this, just not for me at all.

Big hitters aside, it's all a bit one dimensional. But you can't deny, the hits are HITS. Bittersweet to listen to with hindsight.

Not for me

Quite enjoyed this musically, but it felt a bit flat lyrically. Enjoyed the second half of the album more than the first

It's unlikely I will ever listen to this again, but it was a fun listen for a Tuesday afternoon at work. Heavy on the drums

Good clean fun

Some of this I loved, some of this I just couldn't connect with. Maybe because it was Monday morning? Maybe it needs more than one listen? Who knows?

The musical skill can't be denied, but ultimately this just wasn't to my taste.

Based on a first listen, I enjoyed this more than the black album. It's still a 3 for me based on personal taste, but it's definitely a higher 3.

My first DNF in the list. Just was not connecting with it at all. Some nice little guitar moments in what I did hear.

Exceeded expectations. Best of the 3 country albums I've had on the list so far.

Do love it, but 45 mins starts to feel repetitive.

Think this will also be a 4. Some tracks are tip top bangers and solid 5s. Summer Breeze is always a dream. But overall I think we're landing on a 4
