actually rather good! i enjoyed this album and have admittedly not listened to a lot of portishead in a while!
Not the biggest on Led Zeppelin, honestly, but am a fan of some of the songs that played on this. Largely unbothered, though.
eh. was good, but don't really see myself revisiting anything, honestly.
Listened to it on shuffle about a quarter of the way through before restarting and going back through. Some good songs! But was largely, 'eh'.
Banger of course. Haven't listened to Frank in a while.
Haven't listened to U2 wholly since they released that album across all iPhones, aside from the rogue well-known tracks. This was good! Not the best, but in no way bad.
Bruh. Not the biggest fan of Bob Dylan and his voice which has been a newer realisation. This will be tough. edit: Could not finish, ahahahaha.
Haven't heard of him before. Not bad though? Not my preferred cup of tea, but definitely not bad. Nothing really stuck out to me, unfortunately.
Only know a couple songs by these guys, but I largely liked the album a lot. Wasn't able to save the songs, but did like a good number of them. Definitely will be revisiting again.
omg, I love Devendra Banhart! Can't wait to listen to. edit: Great album. forgot how good he is. Need to properly listen to him more.
Never heard of these guys! I like them thus far, but nothing inherently is sticking out. High-level, they resemble 'Roxy Music'. edit: Enjoyed them, but didn't save anything.
It was fun! And I recognized some songs - covers - but not sure I found anything for me. Definitely worth a listen, but not personally for me.
Oh hell yes. Love Dire Straits. This should be good. Already have a couple saved from this album.
While I can appreciate the songs and lyrics and meaning, and the album as a whole, I just am not largely a fan of this type of music. The album was good and worth listening too, but I probably won't find myself revisiting it, or many of the songs.
Good! A part ot e 'The White Stripes' I've never heard before. Refreshing and all around every song was somewhat, 'different' -- nothing underlying to connect them from a sound standpoint.
Awesome album. Also crazy that it came through the week of Ozzy's passing. Happy to have it run across my desk and be able to reflect on his music. Great listen.
Was good! Not my favourite honestly, and I probably wouldn't care to listen to again. I know they have a rather large following, but I don't know -- not for me.
bruh. not another bobby d. album! ugh... edit: i did finish this one, which wasn't as bad as the other on here. but i can finally relate to my mom and why she doesn't like neil young -- his 'whining' is somewhat parallel to bobby's nasally prolonged annunciations. welp.
BRO! back-to-back bob dylan IS NOT the move. think this album has 'Stuck Inside of Mobile...' song though. edit: i listened to it wholly, but wasn't impressed. i'm not saying he's not a good song write, i just can only handle the voice so much...
Ohhhh. I think 'Hurt' is on this album? Slay. Haven't listened to them very much so should be good. edit: Okay, I had no idea what I was getting myself in with this. I just don't think this genre is for me. I was right though -- 'Hurt' was on here. Banger.
Don't think I've ever heard this? Should be interesting. edit: Initial vibes remind me of the Jimmy Carter and Dallas County Green, with the acoustics and accents, and storytelling aspect.
I'm familiar! Just read their Spotify page and it seems that they were part of the Talking Heads trio! Which I didn't know. Don't know their whole discography, so this should be good. edit:It was good! a worthwhile fun listen. Can definitely hear elements of the Heads in it.
Ooooh, like Yes a lot but never heard anything from this album. Super slay.
edit: honestly -- it was good, but nothing memorable.
oh wow, i don't think i've ever listened to more than a couple of Green Day's songs. this should be good. familiar with a couple of the songs on this album. edit: liked it! some of the songs were nostalgic, especially the more known ones.
never heard of them! wasn''t bad as i didn't skip anything, but also didn't take anything away. was good to work to, honestly.
Not sure how keen I am on metal, so this should be interesting. edit: Didn't finish :/ Not the biggest on metal.
familiar with a couple of songs off this album, but never listened to it wholly. edit: sorry Stones, but largely unimpressed with this. listened as background noise while working, and nothing stuck out.
oh! don't think i'm familiar as nothing comes to mind! edit: didn't save anything, but enjoyed what i heard. classic punk or early alternative if i had to pass a genre.
this was good! didn't save anything, but enjoyed listening to it.i was a fan of how it sampled through songs with lyrics and without -- added a nice break, in a sense.
i admittedly never listened to the foo fights much at all, and am only familiar with their popular work. edit: they're good! just not for me. or at least now. maybe didn't give them what they deserved and actively listen.
never listened to this wholly, but know nine inch nails' 'hurt' cover is on it. we'll see how it is! edit: it was good! a lot of covers, which i slowly put together. not necessarily my thing, but did enjoy a lot of what he sand. someone between three and four stars for me.
oh hell yes. edit: this was awesome. sad songs within the album, but a very enjoyable and reflective listen. i enjoyed the songs on it that i haven't heard before. and the art work! awesome.
a worthwhile listen and fun! nostalgic too. haven't listened to him explicitly ever, let alone in a long time.
familiar with and like two of Cohen's older albums, so i'm excited to listen to this! don't think i know anything from it. edit: this was awesome. cohen's voice has matured so much, and i especially loved the somber-esque mood to the storytelling he was portraying. this was a great album.
know a bit of songs from this album! learning to like him, too! not sure why i was so unfavourable of his music in the past. he's good! edit: i did like the songs i already had saved ('Waitin' On A Sunny Day', 'You're Missing', 'My City of Ruins', to name a few), but not so much the others.
good! funky! it was good and not at all what i'd normally listen to!
i was not a fan of this. i guess i just don't like the emo genre. i read up on them, and can appreciate wat they did on the forefront of this type of music, but generally was not a fan.
It was good! Worth the listen, notable songs that I recall and think are popular, but not necessarily something I'd find myself revisiting I don't think.
Banger album. Love their live shows. Had know idea that they were a proper jam band until listening to their live recordings.
I did not like this at all.
I LOVE COLDPLAY! THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME! edit: awesome album. just so great.
i like fiona apple a lot! have never listened to this album in its entirety, but had a couple songs saved. largely liked it! and the succeeding album's mix afterwards.
pretty good! obviously know who michael jackson is, but never really listened to much of his discography. these albums are nice as introductions.
hell yes -- love the Clash! excited for this, as i know ta lot of these songs on this album.
hahahah, this was fun! not sure if i'd revisit it, but it was definitely a worthwhile listen. i liked the album's radio that came on afterwards too. good to just listen to while working or just getting some things done.
This was good! In the past, I've looked into them because of some off their songs being in the Skate games, but not a proper lsite, or a listen to their album(s). Perhaps I'll find myself revisiting.
uh oh! this is gonna be good. edit: it was.
whaaaaaat! i was not expecting these guys to be on the list! i did a biiig deep dive on these guys like two years ago! this is awesome!
edit: this was actually a lot better, and much sadder, than i thought it was going to be before going in. i was surprised by how much i liked it! very different from my typical, but very good and definitely a worthwhile listen.
familiar with some songs! but wasn't the most keen on this album.
uh-oh! don't know every song on this album, but know a couple and am fond of those that i do! edit: primarily liked the songs i had already saved, but definitely a good isten nonetheless!
usually i like albums like this, but nothing really resonated with me on this one. not sure why?
usually i like albums like this, but nothing really resonated with me on this one. not sure why?
this was good! i've heard two songs from the album before, but liked what i hadn't heard before! enjoyed this and would like to revisit it.
wasn't too keen on this. i'm sure it's appreciated elsewhere, just not here.
warning: cult following of an album. review may be unpopular as i'm not the biggest on this album. it's good! but i don't think it should be on the pedestal that it is. edit: it was worthwhile, but not /crazy/.
ohhhh, love Roxy music. don't think i know anything from this album though? should be fun! edit: good! but not favourite album of theirs, honestly.
thought i was going to like this a lot more! :/ nothing really stuck out to me, which is unfortunate because i thought i liked Spirit more.
oooooh... only know a handful of songs by them, but never listened to their discography before. fun!
meh. i know it's a good album, but i think i've listened to it enough before this one that i'm kinda over the group. neil young's whiny voice is growing unbearable.
awesome album. unknowingly knew a lot of the songs already. throwback to college for me.
honestly wanted to like this a lot more! but didn't get too into it. i acknowledge that it was good, but nothing notable within the album itself. this might be an unpopular score!
Middle of the ground! Good, not great, and didn't have any crazy takeaways. It did, however, get me to go back and listen to Lennon's "Imagine", which is an awesome song.
meh -- didn't care for this much at all. in the moment it reminded me of another group, but thinking back on it, i don't recall who came to mind?
oooooooh fuck yeah. edit: this was an awesome album. back-to-bac bangers. first time listening to it start to finish. avn morrison is great.
good to listen to, but largely unenthused. i think i prefer their other album, 'America Eats Its Young'. good! but not anything to write home about.
this was good! knew a couple of songs on it. a breath of fresh air really as i hadn't really listened to her in the past. i liked her!
good! had something written out, but got wiped after refreshing. oops. but good. familiar with some of the songs here, but not inherently my 'go-to'.
i do NOT know these folk. should be fun. edit: lol jk. from the first song, i was like "these guys sound EXACTLY like a group that'd be in the Skate games' soundtrack." lo and behold that come that last song, 'Suffragette City' comes on and i'm like "uhp".
been waiting for this! never gave them a proper listen and only knew a handful of songs. have some friends that really like them. album was good! a worthy listen, honestly. i liked it, but not the most keen on this type of music.
this very much had reminded me of Radiohead. it wasn't a /bad/ album, but i probably wouldn't revisit it. not to say that it wasn't good, but it just wasn't for me.
it was good! not anything cray. knew a couple songs, with that being said -- i likely won't revisit it. The Beatles aren't for me!
knew one song! but a different version - cover - of it. otherwise wasn't too fussed. bleh.
bleh. wasn't bothered by this at all. don't even recall anything from it.
well of course it was good, it has to be! it's a-ha! never listened to an album of theirs in its entirety, but this was good. a worthwhile listened that broadened what i had previously understood.
