In The Court Of The Crimson King
King CrimsonCrap.
Crap.
Gentle. Very rambly. Like Simon and Garfunkel without the choruses. Quite liked the last song.
I really like this album. I have for a long time. It was good to revisit it. I find it really beautiful. I've not heard it for a long time. Something I noticed this time that I hadn't thought about before was some of the playfulness in the lyrics, particularly in the second half. Predatory Wasps and Night Zombies were particular favourites in this regard. Having said that I much prefer Seven Swans and Carrie and Lowell, and there are a few tracks this album could lose. A very imaginative album from a time when songwriting wasn't usually that.
Really quite pleasantly surprised by this. Never consciously listened to Petty before. It's a really nice textbook rock n roll album. Not sure what it is about it. Just put me in a nice mood. I also like the production. It feels like lively live music. I probably won't go back to this much, but I would be delighted to find some of these songs on a jukebox in a bar and have a bop to them.
Competantly executed indie rock from the finger pointing dance Eeading / Leeds massive. They can certainly write catchy songs. They do the genre well. Just happens that I don't enjoy this genre much at all. A nice memory was an old roomate absolutely bopping to this. A not so nice memory was aggressive lads with bad haircuts in the Gloucester on Tuesday nights.
Started well but the slushy songs were annoying. Also didn't enjoy the sax. Was excited for this one but found it disappointing.
I wanted to enjoy this one but I didn't really at all. I find her voice annoying and the musicians sound like a jam band. I find jangly guitars difficult to get along with and it was all just a bit noodly and directionless. If I had to pick some nicer moments they would be on Free Money and Kimberley, but no. This album is not for me.
Superb. Cannot fault this. Just brilliant from beginning to end. I was worried it wouldn't hold up having two huge singles right at the beginning but it really did. No filler. Structured like a perfect live set. Crab.
Didn't enjoy this at all. I felt that if he weren't already famous nobody would be onto this. Jangly and directionless. I don't really like his voice. These are personal taste things, but yeah, not for me. Golden Years and the last track better than the rest but as an slvum it did nothing for me.
A completely normal album of music.
This was okay but I am not sure why I have to hear it before I die.
RIP you sweaty sex case.
Surprisingly pleased. Big emotions.
It isn't my kind of thing but I cannot deny this is a very good album. It is so well composed, excellent usicianship etc.
Didn't enjoy this that much tbh. Tried. Even went back to some songs again. Just found it a bit creepy and the songs didn't stick.
I love it. Fascinating to hear where it started for The Fall. Very playful lyrically. Some really interesting instrumental parts. Amazing drumming. Yes. Good.
What a surprising album. Inventive, kind of all over the place and playful. The treble heavy bass and funkbguitars grated a bit and after a while it all merged into one a bit, but I absolutely loved the lyrics and I can't knock its unique inventiveness.
This one gets five stars from me. An absolute joy. Beautiful. I had always considered Eurythmics a singles band. Delighted to be shown otherwise.
Not my fav Includes album, but obvs a great adventurous work. Some true bangers.
Very relaxing. Beautiful voice on him.
Reminded me of when I was in the clink
Very much enjoyed this. I love this era of the Beetles. They say "yeah!" an awful lot.
Tip top
Well, that was sheer joy. Really playful. Lovely crunchy beats. Some nice crocodiles. A bit long but peng.
Rubbish

A pretty tasty chunk of classic rock.

Badap da bap daba doo bap!
I love Dusty
Very enjoyable squelchy dance vibes.
Pretty good, put a skip in my step on a rainy day. Webt on a bit mind. Feel like he got his bangers in there a bit early. Also, God is rubbish.
I actually got into this after initial scepticism. Some really gorgeous moments. Not ebough lanning though.
Not for me. Dreary.
Grintcore. Helped me to focus on some work.
Crap.
A lovely surprise. Perfect Sunday album.
Enjoyable. Nice vibes but did turn into background music after a while. Bet these guys are mint live.
Pleqsantly surprised after a slow start. Rainy.
As others have said, I want to like Sonic Youth more than I do. Hadn't heard this album before. Liked it but didn't love it.
Didn't pung my socks.
Bedroom garage blues punk. No idea. Drugs.
It's not Wings but it is pretty much perfect.
Pretty beautiful stuff
