Crosby, Stills & Nash
Crosby, Stills & NashGentle. Very rambly. Like Simon and Garfunkel without the choruses. Quite liked the last song.

I really like this album. I have for a long time. It was good to revisit it. I find it really beautiful. I've not heard it for a long time. Something I noticed this time that I hadn't thought about before was some of the playfulness in the lyrics, particularly in the second half. Predatory Wasps and Night Zombies were particular favourites in this regard. Having said that I much prefer Seven Swans and Carrie and Lowell, and there are a few tracks this album could lose. A very imaginative album from a time when songwriting wasn't usually that.
Really quite pleasantly surprised by this. Never consciously listened to Petty before. It's a really nice textbook rock n roll album. Not sure what it is about it. Just put me in a nice mood. I also like the production. It feels like lively live music. I probably won't go back to this much, but I would be delighted to find some of these songs on a jukebox in a bar and have a bop to them.
Competantly executed indie rock from the finger pointing dance Eeading / Leeds massive. They can certainly write catchy songs. They do the genre well. Just happens that I don't enjoy this genre much at all. A nice memory was an old roomate absolutely bopping to this. A not so nice memory was aggressive lads with bad haircuts in the Gloucester on Tuesday nights.
Started well but the slushy songs were annoying. Also didn't enjoy the sax. Was excited for this one but found it disappointing.
I wanted to enjoy this one but I didn't really at all. I find her voice annoying and the musicians sound like a jam band. I find jangly guitars difficult to get along with and it was all just a bit noodly and directionless. If I had to pick some nicer moments they would be on Free Money and Kimberley, but no. This album is not for me.
Superb. Cannot fault this. Just brilliant from beginning to end. I was worried it wouldn't hold up having two huge singles right at the beginning but it really did. No filler. Structured like a perfect live set. Crab.
Didn't enjoy this at all. I felt that if he weren't already famous nobody would be onto this. Jangly and directionless. I don't really like his voice. These are personal taste things, but yeah, not for me. Golden Years and the last track better than the rest but as an slvum it did nothing for me.
A completely normal album of music.
