Heartattack And Vine by Tom Waits

GRITTY and RASPY blues. Savin all my love for you has a Christmas feel cause of the bells but is more of a sad love song. The lyrics are sung emotional and very rough, singing style is nothing I’ve heard I’ve heard before. Haven’t heard of Tom waits before getting this album and not sure how I feel. Musically, good, singing maybe not for me. Kinda all over the place with ballads and then blues.

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
Dec 05 2025

Two songs in now and so far I like it. Good ole johnny cash stuff. Love the talking to the crowd. Got some staples of Johnny in here with Walk the Line, A Boy Named Sue, and Folsom Prison Blues. Definitely would recommend to people who are into country or Cash. San Quentin prison song is really cool coming from the viewpoint of an inmate and his hatred of the prison and how everyone thinks going to prison will make them automatically better when they leave. Great song. Solid record. 8/10 4 Stars

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Dec 08 2025

Classic Rap album, only knew nothin but a G thang. Pretty good, some songs were a bit too long. I’d give it a 7/10

Dog Man Star by Suede
Dec 09 2025

Interesting rock album, singer reminded me of David Bowie, musically great moments, singing was eh for me but not bad whatsoever. 5/10

Run-D.M.C. by Run-D.M.C.
Dec 10 2025

I know that run dmc are like one of the main staples when it comes to artists that made rap and hip-hop mainstream but good lord this album is bad. I skipped through half of it because everything sounded the same. Kinda like when a kid plays with the toy piano. 2/10

Arular by M.I.A.
Dec 11 2025

Pretty good first real intro to M.I.A. Heard the hit, but cool to hear her other stuff. Pretty unique from anything I’ve heard but it was intriguing throughout the whole record. 6.8/10

Synchronicity by The Police
Dec 12 2025

Some bangers, some wild song. Mother was something else 😂

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Dec 16 2025

Solid Nina Album, nothing really stood out to me but I could listen again

Ghosteen by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Dec 17 2025

Album is kinda like spoken word poetry, but in a weird nod your head and go “well alright” kind of way. Musically it’s a lot of background vocals and piano/percussion floating in the back. Not my favorite but not horrible. Just very unique and definitely has a specific audience. 5/10

Back to Mystery City by Hanoi Rocks
Dec 18 2025

Solid rock album. Kinda reminds me of cheap trick at times

Architecture And Morality by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
Dec 19 2025

Gotta admit, I played the first song on this album a couple days ago and went nah. Tried again the next day and man it’s easily top 5 albums so far. I’m a sucker for 80’s synth pop/industrial style music and there were some studs on this record. Definitely would come back and play again.

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Dec 23 2025

ELO is one of my favorites to listen to and this album was great. Harmonies are phenomenal and you get two 10/10 tracks with Turn To Stone and Mr. Blue Sky. Overall, great ELO album with awesome synths, percussion, and guitars. Prob a 8/10.

Oar by Alexander 'Skip' Spence
Dec 24 2025
Cypress Hill by Cypress Hill
Dec 25 2025

Revisited a couple of times and it’s good but nothing really stood out among the rest

Inspiration Information by Shuggie Otis
Dec 29 2025

Good Grove/Funk album. First time ever hearing this artist and I'd come back and listen to this record on like a rainy day, fire in the background, cold out, having a drink. 7/10

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Jan 05 2026

Heard Changes before and it still holds strong on this record. Life on Mars is what I'm currently on as I type this out and it's the best song I've heard so far. Really well thought out musically and lyrically.

Stripped by Christina Aguilera
Jan 06 2026

Knew a couple of songs on this album. Surprised by the production and songwriting in a good way. There were definitely some songs I'd revisit and add to playlists. Overall, liked it would probably rate a 7.5/10

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Jan 08 2026

I mean come on it's JB. Vocals are killer on this, I mean truthfully everything is. Hallelujah is still one of the best covers of all time. Vocals are a clear inspiration for Myles Kennedy and God Bless him for that. easily 9/10

Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Jan 12 2026

Tarkus is a killer opening track as it goes through a ton of different changes and swings. So far have really enjoyed this album. Have heard of ELP many times before but always thought they were more folky, but boy I was wrong. Yeah this was a great prog rock album prob an 8/10

Moon Safari by Air
Jan 13 2026

album kinda went by with not a ton sticking out. Sort of that classic first step in french house when it was blowing up in the late 90's 6/10

Risque by CHIC
Jan 14 2026

Good times a classic, hard not to sing "I said a hip hop the hippy" when hearing the bass line. Song just a biiiiiitttttt too long like can't see it being over 8 minutes long when its a bass line and piano riff for 2 and a half min. Warm summer night is in the same boat as repetitive and long. Just looping over and over. Feet keep dancing also not standing out. My forbidden lover, repetitive. Ya know I'm slowly realizing this album may not be for me lol. overall 4/10

Suicide by Suicide
Jan 15 2026

No

Parklife by Blur
Jan 16 2026

Kinda forgettable album, I liked Parklife and would revisit that, but could not name another song off of this album if someone asked me too. Wasn't bad, just wasn't amazing.

BEYONCÉ by Beyoncé
Jan 19 2026

Pretty hurts- good melody, productions done well kind of a banger Haunted- more vibey, production again is great really like this one Drunk in love- heard before, it’s fine but overplayed, prefer the other two over this track Blow- head bopper, good fun pop song, very bubblegum, THE KEY CHANGE fire No angel- weird dissonant vocals at the beginning, kinda just felt thrown together Partition- the “beat drop” is bad at the beginning, there’s moments I like in the song but I think for it being a song that I know people love it’s at the bottom for me so far Jealous- vocals were just like a flat line, wasn’t a huge fan of this always felt there was gonna be a pop and nothing Rocket- got that 90’s R&B groove, like the ascending riff going into the chorus. Yeah this is a classic 90s Beyoncé destinys child vibe Mine- like the piano and vocals, good change up, would be a great night time drive song, drake being a feature works really well. Some of his best songs are with this vibe and beat. XO- I’ve heard the John Mayer version before this and I still like his more than this one. This track is good, but the beat is honestly too much for the lyrics imo. I feel like the lyrics ask for a slower tempo and more attention. Flawless- I like the speaking parts in this, but song overall is kinda forgettable Superpower- shoutout Frank, sadly forgettable with the other tracks in the record. Nothing in it stood out, aside from Frank Heaven- sad song, if you’ve lost someone close, it could be a tough listen but great song Blue- good song, like the vocals, cute to have that moment with her daughter at the end of the song

Tuesday Night Music Club by Sheryl Crow
Jan 20 2026

Run, Baby, Run- Wasn't a huge song for me, good chorus, but an eh for me Leaving Las Vegas- at times the voice makes me cringe, sounds forced, this songs pretty basic wouldn't come back to this Strong Enough- Like the finger picking acoustic intro, not a fan of her voice at this point 3 songs have passed now and nothing is memorable out of the bunch, I see all i wanna do is up next which i know and like but aside from that it's not been my favorite

I liked this album better than the other bowie record. Starman is a killer track. I feel like I'm in a small crowd of being eh with Bowie's music. Ziggy Stardust's chorus is fire. The guitar tones on this record are wild. I'd probably give this album a 5/10. Just right down the middle, couple of standout tracks, but Bowie isn't for me.

69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields
Jan 22 2026

What the hell.... I didn't think this would literally be 69 songs. 3 hours?? There better be some damn bangers if I'm gonna basically gonna sit and listen to a movie. NGL not interested from the first 10 songs and really don't want to force myself into 3 hours of whatever they wanted to make. respect but no thanks

Vivid by Living Colour
Jan 23 2026

Fire riffs, some killer basslines, COP is a 10/10 song. I've listened to this album before, but this time it stood out. 8/10

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Jan 26 2026

Immediately recognized the riff from the first song from gettin' jiggy wit it by will smith. Going into it, I'm already thinking about Disco albums being repetitive and long, so I'm hoping this album isn't like that. Like the first song, does have that long period of just instruments for dancing, but pretty good song. Been a pretty enjoyable album so far. Each song is a good mix of well done vocals, interesting melodies and hooks, and good funky bass and guitar.

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Jan 27 2026

G Fuck intro- gas Gin and juice- gas The Shiznit- Fire beat, so far each songs beats are so damn good, flow is a bit the same Lodi Dodi- again, like the beat, not my fav Murder was the Case- love Serial Killer- not bad, like the features but prob middle of the road for me Who am I- good beat, talk box is a bit weird to have on here For all my- good but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Aint no fun- liked it Doggy dogg world- fire Gz and hustlas- fire Pump pump- pretty good Album had incredible beats, lyrics were good, overall 9/10

The Stranger by Billy Joel
Jan 29 2026

Phenomenal album from beginning to end

The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas
Jan 30 2026

Interesting psych stuff going on with punk rock elements. good background music while working on things. Wasn't bored of it or waiting for it to end, just kept me interested. probably a good 6.5/10

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Feb 02 2026

Thought I was gonna really like this album but it was a meh for me. Some good stand out tracks but don’t think I’d revisit. 5/10

Clube Da Esquina by Milton Nascimento
Feb 03 2026

Good album all the way through. Experimental songs, more traditional Hispanic flamenco and more. 8/10

Arise by Sepultura
Feb 04 2026

Peak late 80's early 90's heavy/death metal. First time listening to a record by these guys, but I've heard of them before. Has a ton of similarities to the Big 4 (Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer.) Solos are ripping, drums? Shoutout to the drummer for laying down the tempo I mean good lord. Vocals aren't my favorite when it comes to metal. good riffs and drums. The acoustic riff from Desperate Cry is one of my favorites. Solid heavy metal album. 7/10

A Seat at the Table by Solange
Feb 05 2026

Listened to half one day and the rest another and really just never got into it. There were a couple of things I liked, mainly with the delayed guitars. Wouldn't relisten, I kept finding myself waiting for it to be over:/

Jack Takes the Floor by Ramblin' Jack Elliott
Feb 06 2026

older style country, lot of story telling but not my thing

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
Feb 09 2026

traditional country rock, I'm not a country person so it'll be interesting to see if I like this. Well, just realizing love hurts wasn't written by Nazareth after listening to this album lol. Eh, some songs I liked, some songs I did. prob go a 5/10

Armed Forces by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Feb 10 2026
Pelican West by Haircut 100
Feb 13 2026

Classic New Wave sound. Singer at times sounds like the frontman for Duran Duran.

Mermaid Avenue by Billy Bragg
Feb 16 2026

Well produced country/folk album. I didn't not like it, but don't think I'd revisit it. Still to those who enjoy this style of country would like this album. Not my fav but didn't hate life while it was playing, so 6/10

Back In Black by AC/DC
Feb 19 2026

one of the GOAT rock albums. money beat, 4 chord choruses, great lyrics and solos. can't beat it

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Feb 24 2026

didn't have one song stand out to me just kind of dramatic and moany

Rust In Peace by Megadeth
Feb 25 2026

Killer solos in Holy Wars and Hangar 18. I love thrash metal and I'm a huge Metallica fan, so I think I was always in the "Megadeth Sucks" crowd. However, I'm digging this album so far. I mean great riffs, Dave's vocals aren't mickie mouse, and the solos are chefs kiss. Really liked this album. downloaded a good amount of songs and would relisten.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Feb 26 2026
Time (The Revelator) by Gillian Welch
Feb 27 2026

ehhhhhhh I liked some at the end, others were just kinda in the background music

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police
Mar 02 2026

Liked this album much more than the last one I had in December. Would honestly rerate that one a 2 and this a 4 if I could go back. But this will keep the 4

Elephant by The White Stripes
Mar 03 2026

I've always kind of been 50/50 with TWS. There are some good songs on here, but others are a toss up.

The Renaissance by Q-Tip
Mar 04 2026

great beats and samples are fire. There's a ton of great head bop grooves and overall a really good listen. I liked the mixture of genres where there were songs that had things from R&B, pop, rap, and more. 8/10

The Doors by The Doors
Mar 06 2026

Heard a couple of songs off this record, lot of memories in the car with my dad with the big hits. Break on Through and Soul Kitchen are great. Good album especially for a debut. I was never a huge doors fan, but would recommend for people looking for this style and sound. 7.5/10

The La's by The La's
Mar 09 2026

solid album through not too many notes on it. kept me interested throughout I'd probably go a 7/10

Beyond Skin by Nitin Sawhney
Mar 12 2026

really interesting album with the theme being about nuclear weapons and the album starting with the mention on India testing bombs. Definitely an album you need to really focus and pick up all of the subtle hints. Shoutout the band during Tides. I like the down tempo of the album and the imagery. 8/10

Don't Stand Me Down by Dexys Midnight Runners
Mar 16 2026

didn't expect them to sound like they did. I mean I've only heard Come On Eileen before this and this didn't stick with me at all

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Mar 18 2026

Like this album, there's definitely some weird experimental songs but also absolute classics 8.5/10

Mar 19 2026

Had a huge phase with Muse in high school and I have a sweet spot for this album until Drones. This album has so many bangers and playing guitar to knights of cydonia is always so much fun. I could listen to this all the time and still have a blast.

Actually by Pet Shop Boys
Mar 20 2026

It’s a sin saved this from a 2

Let Love Rule by Lenny Kravitz
Mar 23 2026

Pretenders by Pretenders
Mar 26 2026

Started this album and the first track really didn't do anything for me at all. Yet, as I kept listening I was really getting into it and enjoyed the whole thing. I would go 7/10

Mar 31 2026

back to tom since the very first album and i can say i havent been missing him. it does nothing for me and it's more just talking but like talking to a drunk uncle and you sadly don't have a beer
