1001 Albums Summary

Realizing I am pretty unfamiliar with Talking Heads beyond Psycho Killer...enjoyed listening to this album. Admittedly, it did blend together a bit for me but that may have more been me listening at work first day after 2 week break with a bit of a headcold....eek.....may need to do some additional listens....but overall I liked it, although I don't see myself often putting it on....

Commenting while listening....THOROUGHLY enjoying. I really love when albums exist as albums rather than a collection of disjointed singles. Bring back concept albums !!!!!!! Also this has me reflecting on how much fun long songs can be. There is currently an epidemic of <3 minute songs. A 7+ minute song is so beautiful.......maybe my attention span will be fixed Listening one headphone bc at work....will need to do another 2 headphone or speaker listen at some point also.... This is an album that makes me excited about music again :) Supergroovalisticprosifunkstication !!!! Was just talking ab how I want to isolate specific songs in my reviews and comments but with how collective this album is I don't think I will today lolol Anyways, on my second maybe third listen? this is very fun and cool and influential and i am really rocking w it :) bye bye

I lowkey think I manifested an album of longer songs via my comment ab the previous album.... This was a really interesting album. It is not something I think I would have listened to or even discovered without this project. Egbe Mi O (Carry Me) - standout to me !!

I think I'm unable to assess this album properly as it is so soaked in nostalgia for me🫶 I finally gave songs other than El Paso the attention they deserve!!!! Genuinely really love this album, but I do wonder how I'd feel without our personal history haha......

Another album I don't think I would have experienced without this project... I can recognize this is good, don't have particular strong feelings about this album, myself, though.... Finding myself really appreciating drums and the instrumentals 🥁 Paradise City was fun

Fistful of Steel was probably my favorite Again, not really my vibe and don't believe I'd have listened to otherwise...but glad I did I also realize that I'm less lyrical in a lot of ways, I did not really internalize many lyrics...I want to work on this!

ace of spades is a great opener....immediately high energy, very instrument heavy, but can already tell that this album will not make much of an impact on me....... deeply musically talented for sure (the guitar!? the drums!??), maybe fun to see live or listen to on a roadtrip? hmmm the albums we've been getting just feel so painfully similar.... fun, intense lead ins.....like fast and loose

call me basic....kinda excited for this.....i always forget how much i enjoy coldplay oh wow...i fully meant to write so much more and i just didn't..... i think this is a great album but i wonder if it being such a departure from the vibe of the past few impacted this assessment.....

Nightswimming by REM was my only experience with this band, and that is such an incredible song !!!! Hate to say it....did not feel particularly strongly ab this album, do not see myself returning - maybe should have done two listens...

what is the world can i do !!!!!! i am really enjoying this...I thought I was getting tired of so many guitar heavy tracks but I'm back !! Really into these instrumentals....all feel very cinematic (Warszawa playing while I'm typing rn for some context) Weeping Wall has me feeling like a space alien Just started ascending to subterraneans !! also liked the guitar riff on sound and vision

I'm really enjoying this....... This is good music to just have playing....that sounds so dumb.....I need to stop doing these in the morning when my brain doesn't work properly yet......Probably the most I've fixated on lyrics recently, though most slid down my smooth brain....reads like poetry Tell Me Why After The Gold Rush Only Love Can Break Your Heart Oh, Lonesome Me Birds I Believe In You ....do I really like Neil Young ????

YAY Great album imo Over & Over - just floating and nodding, loving this Sara and Storms - I really love Stevie Nicks' voice alwaysss Sisters of the Moon - my sister and i are sisters of the moon actually !! Brown Eyes - after Gaga just performed her iconic song of the same eyes in Japan after forever !? feels spiritual.... Beautiful Child - beautiful song actually <33 Walk a Thin Line - oh wha oh wha ph whaaaa Tusk - such a unique song, like this The Ledge - another fun sound

Very fun album How Much More Tonite Lust to Love We Got the Beat (only song I was familiar with going in) You Can't Walk in Your Sleep Poppy and fun....liked the vibe but not sure if I was fully in the headspace to appreciate today....will likely rate 3 but know it is a higher 3!

All of them actually!!!!!! such a great album!!!! the features, the lyrics, the samples, the instrumentals, the flows, etc, etc.........!!!!!! the intro and outro!!!! i really do think missy elliott is such a supremely talented artist....1 of 1 babyyyyYyy......also crazyyyy for a debut too !! thinking this will be my first 5 🤭

I know nothing ab this......excited to listen Interesting and complex instrumentals.....that said, don't know if this is for me......don't feel strongly negative but this is not particularly exceptional (in my opinion!!!!!!) also LOVED yesterday (my first 5!!!) so I might be coming off that high too lol this is growing on me a bit....

this is comically bad to me.... absolutely not the album for me, i am so sorry the country influences are not it this feels like a testament to male mediocrity for this to be in top 1000 albums one must listen to is legitimately shocking (especially seeing what has been excluded in favor of this)... kinda liked the transylvania blues (which is all instrumental 💀) and that's really all i have to say positively...truly almost nothing redeeming at one pt considered a 3 star, almost immediately brought to 2, ending on 1.......... this album made me angry, only ab 35 minutes but felt ab 5 hours long.....fr put me in a bad mood....lyrics feel like mad libs, do not care for the vocals...... I'm so angry....at least the music makes you feel something....an absolutely excruciating listen I'm sure there is some background on why this band is a genius or amazing or whatever but this absolutely does not stand on its own....feels like an inside joke for a niche group of folks

beautiful album....a needed palate cleanser after yesterday.....the instrumentals, the voice, the lyrics.....mr. sinatra know yearning ALWAYS !!! moody and melancholic in the perfect way🫶 mood indigo deep in a dream
