It’s a classic. Diverse song composition, some weirdness thrown in, and fun to listen to. Not my fave Beatles album, but it’s always a good time

Always a banger. One of the best Stones albums

A few bangers, some repetitive vibes but overall I’m a fan.

More experimental, less rock than other stones albums. Enjoyed it, less hits than others. 3.5

First time listening, so good. Weaves so many different genres of music together as only Bowie does. Weird rock, sometimes jazz, that somehow still hits Fave track: Lady Grinning soul

Angsty garage punk that sounds like the precursor to Nirvana. Not exactly my cup of tea but the lyrics keep it pretty entertaining. Reminds me of Tony Hawk skater games. Fave song - TV Party 2.5

First non “hits” Elvis album I’ve listened too. Couple absolute classics on here like Suspicious Minds and Ghetto. Enjoyable but not a full standout in my mind 3/5 Fave song: Suspicious Minds (yeah I’m basic) also liked Any Day Now and Only the Strong Survive

Felt like a late 80’s version of Pink Floyd. Very experimental

Vintage Hendrix. Super bluesy and groovy. Fave song: Hey Joe

Very 90’s vibe, some Cure style with female singers. Couldn’t understand the lyrics but the music was enjoyable. Dreamy, “floaty” synths that seems similar to Kate Bush Fave song: “Cherry-coloured Funk” or “Heaven or Las Vegas”

Bunch of different feels here, really enjoyed it. Not really an outstanding single but the album works as a whole very well. Some Beatles, Neil Young, and others vibes Fave song: Rock and Roll Woman and Hung Upside Down

Eh, some interesting songs here but not my cup of tea. A little bit of Radiohead especially when they invited Thom Yorke on “this mess we’re in” Fave songs: this mess we’re in and Kamikaze

Some classic enjoyable blues, fun to hear the live versions from 1960. 3/5 Fave song: I’ve got my Mojo working

Trying to be a little too weird I feel, but definitely some cool sounds. Grew on me as the album went on, I like the whimsical pop vibe it has. Fave song: Desire Lines and Helicopter

Funky and groovy. Her voice wasn’t my favorite (a little nasally) but overall a fun listen. Fave song: Bag Lady 3.5/5

Interesting but I personally hated it. Country mixed with sailor ballad story telling. It seemed like a bad musical. 1/5 Fave song: Loom of the Land

I liked this album even though the talking heads are weird as fuck. A couple annoying songs but others were enjoyable. Fave songs: “Found a job” and “Thank you for sending me an angel” 3/5

I’ve listened to this album plenty before and it’s one of my all time faves. Not a single skip on the record. I haven’t made it though all of Steely Dan’s discography but of what I’ve hear so far, this is the top. Fave songs: Do it Again, Dirty Work, and Midnight Cruiser 5/5

I feel like a basic bitch but I relatively enjoyed this album. I don’t know why he just randomly cut to Amazing grace at the end of one of his songs, seemed like he was trying to hard to incorporate country into his songs that makes it feel a little forced. Lyrics were also pretty meh in some songs (looking at That’s All Right) Overall an enjoyable listen though. Fave songs: Maggie Mae and (find a) reason to believe 3/5

Couple bangers in here. Felt a little like a female version of George Michael’s. Really liked the groove a couple of the songs got into Fave songs: Smooth Operator and Hang on To Your Love Rating 3.5/5

Definitely Beyoncé’s horniest album with blow & partition but damn it’s full of bangers. Couple misses (mainly No Angel) is keeping this out of a 5 for me. Fave songs: Drunk in Love, Blow 4/5

Not my fave, especially during a workout. 90’s grunge pop, soft rock. I can see how people would be into this tho.

NGL I thought some of this slapped. His voice is definitely an acquired taste and the lyrics can be ridiculous but they grab you. Some song were absolute ass though and were very childish. Fave song: Plaistow Patricia, Wake Up And Make Love To Me 2/5

Not my go to genre, but this slapped. Very dynamic across the album, his voice is super distinct, reminds me a little of Supertramp. Every song feels like it’s the end of the album with a huge build haha Fave songs: Cherub Rock, Hummer 4/5

Pretty solid, enjoyed listening to this album. Bunch of different styles all merged into one, with a dark r&b motif throughout. Fave songs: Blue Lines, Unfinished Symphony

Really fucking weird, I liked the music but the singer’s voice was so annoying. A lot of cool innovative sounds but damn sometimes it was really annoying. Fave song: Past gone mad, Lost in Music, Why are People Grungeful 2.5/5

Wasn’t all that impressed with this album. It starts out interesting and you think it’s going to be an experimental rap album but the first song is so poorly written it just takes it all away. There’s some redemption but this one wasn’t for me.

Very interesting. “Post” punk, gave early Radiohead and even some grunge vibes. Definitely seemed ahead of their time. Overall the album was decent but didn’t blow me away Fave song: Disorder

Not my favorite Radiohead album but still enjoyable. I think I’d rank it a 4/10 but going with a 3. Felt like they’re getting just too weird here for me to really like it. Some crazy jazz feels on life is a glasshouse, such a different vibe for them and heavy electric vibes throughout. Fave songs: knives out, Life in a glass house

Really enjoy this album, lots of jazz fusion and some absolute bangers interspersed in. Not quite the equal of Can’t Buy a Thrill but still great. Fave songs: Black Cow, Peg 4/5

Haven’t ever listened to Solomon Burke but I really liked it. Very similar to Sam Cook in my mind. No big standouts but enjoyable

Pretty fucking weird but it also slapped on a few songs. Guy got really happy on one specific fart sounding synth that was fun. Altogether a fun album to listen to Fave songs: Yoshimi battles pt 1, In the Morning of the Magicians, Do You Realize

I wanted to like this album but it was too annoying to me. Could be bc I was pissed off at work but the experimental stuff just sounded bad. I did enjoy some of the more natural percussion and drums throughout. Fave songs: Paper Planes, Come Around

Really good Stevie that had a blend of styles. Fave songs: Superstition, You and I, end of I Believe

Interesting Irish music, wasn’t my fave but I could get behind some of the songs. Love how they mixed up the genres on nearly every song Fave song: Fiesta

Enjoyed this one. Vocals were interesting, good use of different feels, and groovy music. Fave song: Seven days Too Long

Decent old school 90's rap, enjoyable but not a standout in my mind (comparing to illmatic, or other great albums). Some intense cut scenes of someone getting shot was interesting. Fave song: Can it be all so simple, Ice Cream

Started ok, but feels like a less polished, more garagy Weezer or Velvet Underground that isn’t quite as good. Final song of the album turned me off with the off tune solo. Fave songs: Range Life

Damn some of these songs were powerful. Really enjoyed this album and her voice Fave songs: Four Women, If I Should Lose you 4/5

Damn what a good album. I’m torn between the 4 and 5 here. Love the couple of songs that sample older R&B grooves. And the sax on “you know that I’m no good” is such a classic. Think I’m gonna settle for a 4 but is really a 4.5. Second half of the album just doesn’t compare with the first. Fave songs: you know I’m no good, Tears Dry on Their Own

SANDLOT!!! Immediate hit of nostalgia on the opening song of this album. Wish there were more originals here (unless they played the backing parts of all these tracks). Altogether I vibed out here. Fave Song: Green Onions obviously 3/5

A few jams, and seemed pretty far ahead of its time in 1999. Sometimes it did seem like they just had a tapdancer on a midipad. Fave song: Red Alert, Being With U

Bangers but I'm a sucker for soft 1970's rock. Gives Eagles but more folksy. I'm a sucker for this type of music 4/5. Fave songs: So Begins the Task, Johnny's garden

Pretty dissonant, especially 'Tis A Pity She Was a Whore. More avant-garde and moody than his older albums but maybe I'm just a normie. He really likes the sax on this album. Fave Song: I can't give everything away 3/5

Thoroughly enjoyed this album. He brings a bunch of different styles together and his voice is somehow on key and nice while also being super unique. I need to listen to more Jack White. Fave songs: Missing Pieces, Love Interruption

Enjoyed the intros to each style as it was played. Overall not my go to genre but very beautiful and enjoyable

50 cent isn't my favorite rapper but this album was fun to listen to. Good beats for the most part, good themes woven throughout. Fave song: P.I.M.P

I went back and forth on this one. Some songs were really enjoyable for the first 95% and then they would just ruin it with some weird atonal shit at the end. First half of the album was hot trash in my mind but there were some redeeming songs later on Fave songs: Jesus, Etc., Heavy Meatal Drummer

Ugh this is right on the edge of a 3/4 for me. Good music, I really liked the symphonic components he added in but overall the album didn't fully wow me. I think I'm still going with a 4 Fave songs: out on the weekend, Alabama, Old Man

Why? This album just confused me on why it's a part of this list. Interesting and not un-enjoyable but no clear point to the music. Lots of cool sample, but just appear randomly in the songs. Fave Songs: What Does Your Soul Look Like, Pt 4 and Pt 1 (Pt 1 is the best song of the album by far)

Love the classic punk vibes and the carefree nature of the lyrics/singing. Solid 3/5 album for me

I just don't think I love 90's DJ'ing lol. So many random sounds thrown in, it's not super pleasing to listen to. A couple enjoyable ones but overall not my fave. I can see how others would like this album though

Some absolute bangers in here but the second half of the album fell off for me. Had to relisten a couple times to have a good opinion here (was bouncing between 3 and 4). Dude's voice sounds like a close cousin to Bob Dylan. Love how many different feels they have in the album though from harder rock, to some country, jazz, and even some raggae. Going with a 4 but a relatively low 4 (3.7) Fave Songs: Money for Nothing (obviously), The Man's too Strong (very bob dylan-esque)

Sounds like a mixture of James Brown and EWAF lol. Good funky vibes. Sex Machine was long AF and could've been shortened a little bit but otherwise a pretty solid album. Fave Songs: I want to take you higher, Everyday People 3/5 (upper end of 3)

I just think I'm not the biggest fan of punk but this was better in my eyes than some other punk albums that have been showing up lately. Engaging and not weird for the sake of being weird Fave Songs: I was a Teenage Werewolf

Vintage CCR, love the style, the voice, the vibe. Slightly less chopper in to 'Nam than some of their other stuff but this is one of the first albums I've listened to all the way through. In between a 3 and 4 for this one - gonna give it a 4. I really like their slower stuff more than the more up-beat songs. Fave songs: Wrote a song for everyone, Bad Moon Rising, The Night Time is the Right Time

Couple banger ballads for the lads in here. Her voice is just insane. Might be recency bias but going to give this one a 3, but it's a strong 3. Pretty simple musically, but her voice carries it. Fave Songs: When We were young, Send my Love
