I like it
Yea it’s very good, a no skip album
Had no idea who or what this was. Surprisingly really epic
Chock full of hits didn’t realize I knew a lot of them.
Verrrrryyyy interesting (I got bored)
I really liked listening to this traveling through the city on my bike. Will listen again
Reminds of the hold steady which is a very bad band he likes. That’s really all I got on this one
Nah no good
Wonderful elegant expert. I just love the saxophone and it’s always so amazing to hear it played at such a high level of music theory knowledge to an extent I feel like I can barely comprehend
An all timer for good reason. The appreciation for Dr. Dre is awesome, not sure that Snoop necessarily invented gangster rap but he certainly made it much more mainstream.
I think pretty good, like if you mix Wilco with the Beach Boys sort of. Not necessarily something I’ll come back to but I appreciated the listen.
So good so sexy I want to listen to all his albums now. Just insanely influential specifically this album. Music would not be what it is today without this man
It’s exactly what I would think it is. This variety of rock absolutely has a time and place. But unfortunately I haven’t been a twelve year old discovering air guitar in a long time
It’s fine I guess. I think I really just don’t like Springsteen’s voice. But he might’ve heavily influenced mumble rap
Almost a no skip album I just wasnt too fond of track 2. But yea this is absolutely an all timer, some of the greatest genre blending some of the greatest and most timeless hits to come out of the 60s. All around joy to listen to
Had no idea who or what this was, really enjoyed it. A super solid R&B album that I will likely listen to again. Just overall good production, impressive vocals, awesome features
Such a joy to listen to, some of the best folk music you could ask for and then the surprise blues tracks were the cherry on top. A no skip album for me
Nope literally didn’t finish it. Burning pile of garbage not music. Hurt my ears
Every fish has a bowl and every shoe has a soul😮💨
Honestly wasn’t amazed, I enjoyed it but thought I would be a little more blown away. A less up beat vibe than I expected and the one track I really loved was I ain’t got nothin
Among the most classic gangster rap albums, one of the first? Incredible mixing and incredible rhyme scheming/ syllable stretching. So many bangers on this one
This record is awesome. Really cool having Straight Outta Compton right before bc it shows the development in Ice Cube’s personal sound. Much more politicized and pointed at the people trying to demonize him, yet again a no skip album
The random generator has been on fire. This is maybe one of the best rock albums of all time. Every song is iconic, their ability to build tension and emotion is unparalleled. Seeing these songs live was still one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Easy 5 star
Nope. Absolutely not. I gave it two good tries. I understand the importance of punk and instrumentally there’s plenty of impressive stuff but it’s such harsh bad noise and I do not like this one bit.
Its like corny electronic music they play in the back of heist movies while the hacker goes crazy on the keyboard
Actually liked it, very interesting mix of vibes but I had a good time. Not totally sure I’ll resisten
Yea of course this one went so hard. Saved a lot of songs to my liked songs list. The audience presence was pretty cool I don’t think I’d ever heard a nirvana lie album. The raw sound felt particularly real and intimate.
Just too long but honestly I thought it was fun. Cool mix of instruments I wouldn’t have thought Metallica would include. They’re really good at building tension but they’re bad at making each song sound different
It was fine. Some of the songs were definitely fun, the slide whistle in You Better Run was good. The album as a whole just didn’t do it for me, maybe a second listen would change my mind
Definitely a fun album of many different varying genres. Cool that this guy has the ability to cover so many bases but if I’m being honest this is another album that just seems to go on forever. Maybe I just can’t handle albums longer than an hour but by the end of this I was just counting down the minutes. Biggest redeeming quality is the song being mostly good regardless of genre, definitely impressive
Really really liked this album Stevie is just so impressive such an iconic voice and iconic sound in general. Notable bangers You and I, Superstion, Big Brother
Holy banger I loved it. So many songs that I recognize but hadn’t heard in a while/didn’t know who they were by. But yea Dire Straits know how to make good music that’s for sure
This was interesting, each song felt so different. I recognized This is the Day, kind of a banger. But yea this was a fun one with serious variety. Particularly liked The Sinking Feeling. Might even come back to this album but probably not because I can’t really tell what mood I’d have to be in to listen to most of the songs
Very little to say, didn’t like it. Couldn’t get past how much I dislike his voice. Drowned everything else out. Next album please
Started off decent, felt like a combo of Fleetwood Mac and the Cranberries. Then it got increasingly strange and I really stopped liking it at all
I love this album so much was so excited when it got picked. The raw sound, the flow, the beats, everything is perfect. Wu-Tang is untouchable
Yup rock and roll done by music scholars. Everything is so on Led Zeppelin is the best no matter how corny the take is. Not my favorite album of theirs but still so incredibly good. Favorite might by the wanton song.
I liked it, pretty fun sort of Beatles type of vibe. Definitely a few songs saved but overall it didn’t totally entice me the whole way.
I can appreciate that this is an influential thing, just got bored. Some songs I liked but even those I wasn’t blown away by. And I had to turn my earbuds down bc some of this was just harsh noise
Yea meh. Didn’t even really feel like punk. Nothing about this was that exciting. Some of the instrumental parts were fun but even that was mids. I wish we had an album by the clash instead of this
Idk I really thought I was liking this album a lot but then it started feeling really corny. Don’t get me wrong there’s some bangers on this, specifically Supercut, Greenlight, and Homemade Dynamite. But if feels like every song is the same exact topic with a similar ish vibe. I know people love Lorde but she is writing the same song on repeat
Pretty good I thought I was gonna like it more but I feel like this was their weirder side. Vocalist is so unique tho so that’s cool
Here’s the thing I understand this is musically mids. But I think that’s the point. Basically I don’t see this as an album I see it as a Steve Martin sad romantic comedy sound track. And with that lens I think it’s perfect. I found myself chuckling at the lyrics several times. Had no idea who this guy was and I’m glad I do now. And I’ve noticed three stars for me goes either way, if I like something I didn’t think I would then it’s three stars. If I disliked something I thought I’d be more into it’s three stars
I missed 1-2 minute songs, just gets right to it. The Spotify summary feels telling, it’s the same song the whole time but it’s a really good vibe. Sometimes music doesn’t need to be crazy and unique, I think you could put this record on in almost any setting and it probably wouldn’t offend anyone. It’s precisely 2.5 stars but I guess I’ll give it a 2
Actually really liked this album could see myself coming back to it. The Stranglers wish they could sound like this. Much more Clash like in the way prefer
Banger after banger. Haven’t listened to this whole album straight maybe ever? But wow no skips. Some of the greatest rock guitar of all time however corny that take is
I think it was good, definitely interesting sounding. Maybe just not my thing but there were definitely bits of this album that I was rocking to
Amazing! I want to listen to this album again. The sampling, the little conversations, the rapping. Kept coming back to the same idea that Kanye must have listened to this album a lot. Felt similar to Late Registration in some ways
Honestly really good album. Certainly not music I’d typically play for myself but gotta respect the greats. Also some sneaky epic blues stuff in here
Just didn’t love it. Definitely some really good parts, he’s got a good voice and I can appreciate the hype. Album just felt very unfocused and all over the place. Didn’t do it for me
Really liked this, feels like an awesome depiction of beauty in simplicity. Just a beat and a rap. It doesn’t get much better than that. Parts of this felt very DOOM like in the comic book vibe with the sound effects and slightly asymmetrical rhyme scheme. Will likely come back to this one
I liked this one, interesting to hear after Let it bleed. They were certainly still developing their sound but some real gems. Noteworthy songs Route 66, Can I get a witness, and Walk the dog
Truly phenomenal album I was so surprised. Had no idea what to expect barely knew who this guy was beyond CSN. Saved several songs, was just loving every bit. Epic guitar with great tone and really exciting instrumentals in general. I will certainly come back to this album
