1001 Albums Summary

Equal parts blues, psychedelic, folk and rock. A. Elton pot of genres. Not sure how I feel about the male vocal harmonies though. Grace Slick is slick by name slick by nature

By the numbers 60s rock album showing its age. Couple of standout tracks but they're overplayed which lessens their impact on listen.

Additional star for the definitive Layla cover but otherwise over indulgent and over long

Stone cold classic. Not a second wasted. Great to put on in the background as mood music or actively explore it's many depths

Really cool experimental synths and samples. Like proto avalanches. Great vocals too.

Classic electronic soundscapes making the most of the limitations at the time to create something otherworldly that still sounds unlike anything else.

Groovy as F*** all time classic

Couldn't get into this. Just kinda meandering instrumentals and rambling lyrics

Good riffs and vocals. Can appreciate the talent but not for me. Walk still slaps though

Went in very sceptical but infectious grooves and inventive instrumentation pulled me in

Maybe not as timeless as it could have been but you can see it's influence on modern music. Overall solid album that leans towards soul rather than rock.

Too country for my blood. Nice vocals and guitar though. Just not my thing. Sorry Loretta.
